  Please can you help me - I turned my cell phone Envy in to an expensive paper weight, after (below) the upgrade of Windows 8.1 at 10 - I hated it and decided that I must return to 7Pro as I want to join the domain and want to install VMware etc.

  I made the plunge and left me without back that all the important factors are missing, including USB, NETWORK interface integrated hubs & wireless - the machine has no DVD player and it won't recognize not flash or SD - ports USB card readers but work for dongle wireless keyboard and mouse.

  Download and uncompress the file in its folder.  Do nothing with the 2 files in the folder.

  They must be installed manually as follows...

  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder, that you unzipped.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected, and I hope that the driver will be installed.

  I just bought the HP Envy Touchsmart K025-DX from Best Buy m6.  I admit that I did a lot of research and I forgot to check if there was a built-in optical drive.  However, I like this laptop because it fit my budget.  I just want to know if I can use any compatible DVD/CD ROM external external external drive CD/DVD/drive or if it is better to go with the HP brand.

  You can use any external USB optical drive on this laptop and the printer, you can download the drivers for Windows 8 if it is available in the hp.com. Simply search for drivers by putting the search box in top right where it says search Hp.com.

  This will probably work better on a 64-bit Windows 7 but sinus computer I'm not a DJ, it works well enough for me

  Use the button at the top of this page titled 'Support', then click on "Download drivers" in the menu. Enter your model number. After you click "Go". On the next page use Option 2 to access the list of drivers. Make sure that Windows 7 is showing that BONE - if not Edit for a change. A list will populate with the drivers/software.

  Your Chipset section is important. Section - network you need Realtek LAN Driver for internet cable and, probably, driver Realtek Wireless wireless. It could be Intel, but first try the Realtek Wireless.

  You can download the drivers on another machine - and burn it to a cd, if your laptop has a cd/dvd drive or save to usb flash drive - you should have 1 usb 2.0 port that works. The other usb 3.0 ports require the driver under chipset. If you can just get the wireless operation, you can return to your support page to install other drivers.
