  I know that many have had problems, but I did not mine specifically. My HDMI connection was working fine with my laptop HP and m HD tv. I didn't use it for a while, now it is just the video, no audio on the TV. My reading shows the HDMI as a default device, but the sound is yet to come of the computer laptop, even when the volume is turned off on it. Ive read all the reviews and updates of pilot who was old. I don't know what else to do!

  I am under that Windows Vista Business on a W500 and update of the system is always telling me to install the update of the 4.0.0.8 smart card reader. The only thing is that it is already installed. I tried using the Sytem Update, automatic update of Windows and manual installation of the driver, but Windows shows as the installed version 4.0.0.8 and told me that there is no newer version available.

  Is there a way to stop the system update to prompt the user to install that? I want yet future updates to the smart card, just not this one. It hides the better I can do? Will I always have future updates for this device? It seems to me that mess and I wonder if there is an underlying problem.

  I'd say just to hide the update.

  Indeed, if your system is running satisfactionally now you won´t need a update, really.

  To install and uninstall SU, won´t may be useful, but you will need a lot of hours and spend your time for nothing.

  Here at my R60 all useless, there were many, updates are hidden.

  I have a carbon 3444-GCU Touch who can not see his fingerprint reader. It used to work when it is brand new, but after many updates from lenovo and windows, it now does not work:

• Dv7 - 7333cl envy: Boot Device not found (3FO) after 8 of Windows Restalling of recovery disks

  The hard drive on my dv7 desire - 7333cl just died after upgrading my windows 8.1 to 10. I bought a new SSD and I replaced the drive. I could not find the recovery discs, that I did when I got the PC, so I ordered new HP according to the recommendations of other threads with the understanding that they would be able to reinstall windows on the new drive.

  Given the shipping time would take a long time, until I tried to reinstall Windows 8.1 using the file .iso Windows 8.1 image official of Microsoft. It seemed to install properly, read the product automatically key and everything, but I could not get the machine to start, so I decided to wait for the HP recovery discs.

  Well I had the disc a few days ago and reinstalled the original image on the new drive. Problem is that when the computer reboots, I get error no matter what I try. The errors vary according to which of the steps I tried below, but I was never able to start Windows, except once when the Windows 8 BSOD loops and restarts automatically before I can even read.

  Here are the steps I've already tried:

  -Performed a hard reset (power adapter and battery removed, taking the power for 30 seconds button)

  -Run the diagnostic system HP based on the SSD (spent) and memory (spent)

  -Secure boot disabled (and re-enabled, cleared the keys, keys reloaded, etc.)

  -Enabled legacy support (and disabled)

  -Bios reset to original settings (F9) is then repeat above steps in various orders

  -Reinstalled two times more than original image

  At this point, I was wondering if the drive has not been formatted from the recovery disk and multiple files to start causing problems, so I started in Parted Magic with UBCD and reformatted the entire hard drive (0 s to write to disc) and again reinstalled original image. Still nothing so I told all the steps above in random orders to try to turn it on.

  If I start in the boot options, I can see the SSD, but it still won't start. Does anyone have more ideas for me to try? The fact that it passes all the tests and that it is running the Linux of Parted Magic environment suggests that everything works fine, but for some reason any Boot file does not load.

  Did I lose money on the HP recovery discs and he just bought my own Windows OEM license?

  I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. I am relatively experienced with the PC, but it's my first time work with the architecture of the UEFI Windows 8 so maybe there is something obvious that I'm missing?

  FINALLY SUCCESS!

  After a lot of frustration and several reboots, partitions, reinstall, and trips to Best Buy, that I care to remember I'm typing this from my stable work feel LIKE to the point Windows 8.1. Currently 10 Windows to download and install all updates, but everything seems to be stable.

  To make a long story short:

  -Be sure to carefully read the product manual

  I never would have guessed that this system would support only a 160 or 180 GB SSD. If I had of known that I would have probably never had any serious problems.

  -Instead of order recovery HP discs just to download the ISO of Windows 8

  I'm not the first person to have problems with these discs (search this forum for the many complaints), so unless desperately want the included HP tools and bloat, just to get a file from Microsoft (FREE!). There is no reason why it shouldn't work and I wish I would have went with my gut here and saved a bit of money.

  -Be persistent if you can't find the question

  I was told, many people, that the machine was bricked up. At that time, I was obsessed with the implementation because no one could tell me why it would not.

  I use a PCIe-6535 to test a chip that we made in our research group. In order to quickly analyze the data, I have to be able to synchronize the reading and writing. We have an inspired interface to (toggle pin A, axis of the B scale, read C axis, toggle pin...).

  We have figured out how to create a reading task and a writing task, but we have no idea of how to make the two simultaneously in order to implement this interface.

  As you say, the camera is quite old.  Maybe 50 kB/s is the maximum data rate (probably very 56 Kbps).

• Unable to read the media file on the portable device

  Codec Windows Media Player

  I was always able to convert video files on my portable device using the MFG converter software. I'm still able to transfer the video but when I try to play on the device I get a message that a format "is" has been detected.  I think the problem is with the Windows Player codec, but can't access the program file/folder to resolve the problem.  The player came with Vista so I can't uninstall/reinstall the drive without doing a full restore.  Hope someone can advise.
