HP Envy laptop - 15-ae011na: HP Envy - keyboard and Trackpad not working after the mode 'sleep'.
HP Envy laptop - 15-ae011na
I have this laptop for only 1 week, he did various updates. I guess that's from Windows 8 to 8.1. He also completed an update of the BIOS with HP Support Assistant.
Question: When the awakening of my laptop mode 'sleep', my trackpad and keyboard do not work, I have unlock my PC using HP Simple pass, then press the power button to restart the machine.
Troubleshooting: I followed some advice for troubleshooting on the support page which lead me to uninstall the keyboard driver then restart my machine. I have all the latest drivers aswell.
Someone has an idea what might be causing the problem? Ideally, I'd like to do a restore or upgrade of Windows 10 immediately.
Thank you.
Looks like this has been caused some my driver problem with Windows 8.1 and I guess that's with HP SimplePass such that it would not recognize the keyboard and the trackpad after waking up to use it.
I have upgraded to Windows 10 that looks like a solved the problem.

and now everything works fine.
Now my question is: can I bring my camera to a repair because it is still under warranty, but I need my laptop everyday. What should I do? Buy a new one and then put it back? I can't believe that I have questions about a machine, I paid over 2 k euros.
Do you think is a hardware problem or an osx bug? I'm under 10.11.2 btw.
Thank you.
Not OK, so no support in this forum... I called apple and they told me I should put the laptop to apple repair center I did, but they could not reproduce the error (which is random) so that they could not fix it... Now, what are my options here? Am I stuck with a defective machine I paid 2400 euro?
If you choose apple to have a portable stable and a good customer support as I have, please, be aware of this...

Check this box!If you have yellow exclamation points in Device Manager, you must install all the missing drivers.
Last but not least don't forget to install all Windows 7 updates available that you can get thorugh Windows Update.

HP ENVY 15-k203tx: brightness keys does not work after the upgrade to windows 10
Hello.
I am using HP ENVY 15-k203tx and I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850 M
I recently upgraded the operating system of windows 8.1 to windows 10
Brightness shortcut keys do not work
All the drivers are up to date.
PnP monitor is also activated. What should I do?Hello
You laptop has Intel/Nvidia switchable graphics and search RTA the screenshot, it does not resemble the driver Intel is installed.
Try the following.
Download driver Intel HD Graphics on the following link and save it in your downloads folder.
http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72501-73000/sp72810.exe
Once complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver from the link below.
http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72001-72500/sp72043.exe
When it's over, don't reboot not the laptop that you are prompted, rather open your download folder, right-click on the Intel HD Graphics package and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.
Once this done, reboot the laptop and let Windows load completely for a few minutes before checking.
Kind regards

Satellite A350 - keyboard only works after toggle mode 'sleep'
A few days ago, I installed the update of the BIOS 2.40 an i also disassembled the laptop because of severe heating problems.
After all put together, on the windows login screen, I noticed that the keyboard doesn't work anymore.
Only the CapsLock key would light up, and after starting the laptop all the function keys me me in the F8 boot menu.
Now, whenever the computer starts, I can't use the en menu F2 and F12 BIOS BOOT options.
And after this to start windows, the keyboard stops working.
What standby mode allowing / disableing the keyboard is working again.
When connect an external keyboard to enter the BIOS, press the buttong F2 gives me a white screen, and nothing happens, I have to restart.
I took care of the problem of dust before once, and it gave me no problem at all, so now I think it's the update of the bios that gives me problems, since I can't even boot into the BIOS menu.
I want to try and get off at 2.30, I have the file, but I can't Flash the bios with an old version.
I hope that there is someone who can help out me? Maybe I need to look in a different direction with this problem.
Hello
The BIOS has nothing to do with your problem.
If the BIOS would not be allowed, your laptop wouldn't turn on in your case the keyboard does not work after you remove the device.
Now there are two options: either you do not connect the keyboard to the motherboard correctly or you damaged something plugging an external USB keyboard to see if the keyboard controller is OK. If external keyboard works, you must replace the internal keyboard part. -
keyboard and touchpad not working not
Hello
I hava a HP pavilion touchsmart sleekbook 14-b133tx laptop running windows 8 and is still under warranty because of a defective touchscreen. A few days ago my touchpad does not work correctly. When I tap the touchpad, it's a richt click and when I move my finger to resize my icons. I look at device manager it says that the device is functioning properly. The touchpad works normally after starting but stops after a few minutes with the keyboard (I use the touch screen as I type this). When I go into the settings of the mouse there is an error "Unable to connect to the synaptics pointing device driver" it prompted me to uninstall so I did it, but the driver will not uninstall. I tried uninstalling the Device Manager, and then restarted my pc then reinstalled again, but the problem is still present. Now the touchpad is not at all clear and the keyboard stops a few minutes to hours after that connecting windows ang attaches when I restart my pc but stops working again after some time. In the Device Manager it is now an error in the touchpad "this device is not present, is not working properly or is not all its drivers installed." (Code 24) ». I've done a hard reset, the sfc/scannow, a system restore and I've used the system recovery to return to factory settings but the touchpad still does not work (again, code error 24) and the keyboard has still not responding after a few minutes.
I think that there is a problem of material and planning to bring it to where I bought it to control unless there is someone who knows how to fix this problem...
Help, please... Thank you
Hey @NoGameNoLife ,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I took a quick glance through your previous thread and it's not really a hardware problem.
Reinstalling Windows pretty much confirms this, but you can also test the keyboard in the BIOS or the mouse in the UEFI tools (press F2 at startup).
I suggest you contact HP phone support to implement the service. Many points of sale will send the laptop HP to be repaired and not their in-store service. Only, this prolongs the process for you and will be probably faster if you contact HP directly.
Please contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click on the following link to get help from your region number: phone help around the world.

Keyboard does not work after the release of the standby mode? Try this!
I saw the following to resolve the issue where the keyboard doesn't seem to work after being out of the mode sleep on some computers laptops here recently. If you encounter a similar problem, try the following steps:
-> Panel-> audio & -> Power Options change Plan (of the current selected plan) settings-> change advanced power settings-> parameter of selective suspension of USB-> Disable (both)
-> Panel-> audio & -> Power Options change Plan (of the current selected plan) settings-> change advanced power settings-> PCI - Express-> Link State Power Management-> Disable (both)
After completing these steps, restart your computer. Everything should work now!
I hope this helps!

My keyboard in Adobe Illustrator shortcuts do not work after the new update
Hello
I like many others have done the new update of software for the Mac - OS X Yosemite. And theres been a few bugs I've experienced. With my internet slow Adobe Creative programs moved upward.
Primarily Adobe Illustrator CS5.5 - first was police preview play but have fixed that with reduced transparency option. But now, and the most annoying is control keyboard keys do not work.
Main ones I noticed so far are: remove, shift + control something, i.e. shortcuts toolbar selection tool (V) etc.
Its incredibly annoying and is actually interfering with my ability to work especially that of simple deletion. I have seen many similar questions but to other programs and the other versions of the suite. Please if someone have a solution or please Adobe gives us the key to solve this problem because this is a major drawback and stops at productivity.
Thank you very much
Phoebe K
Hello
I seem to fix, but for how long I'm not sure.
I closed all open applications, leaving Adobe Illustrator, restarted my laptop and checked the box to open the windows after restart.
Reboot and all the rest with closed seemed to help. Fingers crossed its long term and as a simple resolution such as. -
my wireless keyboard does not work after the upgrade to El Capitan
I have a wireless trackpad, keyboard, and mouse connected to the iMac of 2013. Everything works fine until I upgraded to El Capitan a few weeks ago. Whenever I wake the system from standby mode, I am unable my password key using the keyboard. The keyboard no longer respond or begin typing the characters on his own.
So I did a little research on the Internet and discovered by turning off the wireless trackpad will solve the problem. So I tried and yes it works. But it also means that I have to turn off my trackpad whenever I need to connect using my keyboard, which is not the best solution. And my keyboard and trackpad have always been placed side by side, works perfectly well until this upgrade of the OS.
Does anyone have a solution to this?
Thank you
Have you tried to remove the keyboard and the trackpad of Bluetooth devices in the bar of Manu. Then allowing them to be discovered again.
(You may need to hold down option when you select Bluetooth)
