  • HP Envy 700-074 Graphics Card problem Windows 8

    Greetings,

    I recently bought the HP ENVY 700-074 (http://http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=us & dlc = in & lang = to & lc = in & product = 5371495).

Initial setup went fine without any problem.  I replaced the power supply so that I could add the graphics card from my old computer.  The power supply and graphics card worked perfectly for my old computer.  Feeding is a BFG Tech GX 550 watt modular power supply series.  The graphics card, I have installed is the Nvidia 560ti.

The problem is that, when I start the computer, my screen goes to sleep (as there is no signal) until the login Windows 8 screen lights up. At this time, my screen lights up and it is normally.  However, if updates or restarts the computer, the screen turns off again and he returned sometimes when loading the desktop computer.  I tried to get into the BIOS to see if I could disable the onboard graphics, but I have been unable to access BIOS because I don't see anything on the screen during startup.  I removed the Nvidia card and returned to the use of the integrated graphics card and everything is back to normal.  I managed to enter the BIOS at the time here, but I don't see any possibility to disable the integrated graphics card or use the PCIe as main display (unless I missed something).

I also noticed that Windows 8 shows I have 2 screens installed when only 1 is installed physiclaly.  My HP (HP 2009 m) monitor is listed in Monitor 2 and I initially had to go through the windows to get my HP Monitor to display the entire desktop (as it origionally extended from the start, the desktop computer).  However, number of monitor 1 is listed as monitor of generic cards.  Thinking that the computer used the non-existent monitor like main display when starting, I deleted the generic monitor than to have to reinstall windows.  I also tried to disable, but the problem persists.

I guess that there is a conflict between the integrated graphics card and the Nvidia card.  However, I assumed that the edge will be disabled automatically after inserting a card into the PCIe slot as the integrated graphics card watch is no longer under device mananger.

    Hello:

Have you changed the settings of the BIOS 2 (required) before installing the video card no HP?

    Hello

Where do you find the above information? The following link shows its specifications:

The 'Intel HD graphics 4400' chip is soldered to the mother/system board and replace that means buy a new computer.

  • HP Envy 700-414: HP Envy 414 700 graphics card update?

Hello, I just bought a HP Envy 700-414. It currently has an Intel HD Graphic 4600. I have a card Nvidia 9600 GT PCI Express. This system will promote the card. Not knowing that a lot of graphics cards is a worthy upgrade. I'm not much more than a player, but I do play some RPG occasionally. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

The NVIDIA 9600, I've just looked at requires an auxiliary PCI-E 6 pin.  If the 9600 GT from NVIDIA that you require such a connector, then it will not work on your PC, unless you change to food.  In addition, the 9600 GT does not support DirectX 11, which is used with the recent PC games.

  • HP Envy H8 - 1540t - graphics cards double, Pcie 3.0 support

I have 2 questions about the use of dual graphics cards and Pcie 3.0 support in my machine.

    The machine is:

    HP Envy H8 - 1540t

    Win 8 64

    I7-3820 2nd generation

    10 GB OF DDR3 1600 MEMORY

    256 GB SSD

1 TB SATA hard drive 7200 RPM

    Blu - Ray player

    TV tuner

    Prem N - Wireless Lan and Bluetooth 2 x 2

    600 Watt PSU

    NVidia GTX 660

    This machine uses the card mother Pegatron IPIWB-PB and has 2 Pcie x 16 slots. I realize that using the width double GPUS like GTX 660, the small Pcie connectors next to them will be buried, rendering it useless. They are so my 2 questions;

1.) Will 2 Nvidia GTX GPU 660 is in good physical shape within the machine and be supported?

2.) this motherboard with a Intel X 79 chipset does support Pcie 3.0?

    Thank you

    Hello

You can find information on the following OFFICIAL link, it seems that it only supports PCIe Gen 2.0

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03132964#n241

The image of the motherboard (see above) and the following picture of the 660 GTX, simple answer: 2 cards will not be in good physical shape.

  • HP Envy 700-311: graphics card

Quick Queistion, what graphics card should I buy that can fit in my pc and what is recommended I should use for this pc for games. I found some online, but I'm not sure if they fit into the pc and/or need any additional power ports, and another question is what food I buy also because some cards need a graphis amount required power I have 300w and I want more but I'm not sure if it would fit in the pc or if it would have any cables that has my current btw I do not really have a budget, but having said that I don't have the best thing out there, thank you

    You are welcome.

My goal was to give you the best possible performance that won't break the Bank!  Here's a better mapwhich can be a bit too long for the space provided.  It's always a matter of concern.  I suggest to contact EVGA Tech Support (1-888-881-3842) to help choose the best card for your computer.  They are the experts on their products and are extremely useful.  You can tell them that a member of the HP Forums suggested that you communicate with them.

Could anyone recommend a replacement of the graphics card that I can't to find one similar to the one currently installed. • HP ENVY 137C 750: GTX 1070 for HP ENVY 750-137C graphics card upgrade

I picked up a refurbished HP ENVY 750-137c and am currently looking to improve the graphics. I don't want to break the Bank, but I don't want it to last me a while, I'm looking at the Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1070.

Apart from the evolution of the needs of power, does anyone know if this card is compatible, and if there are problems with this upgrade? In addition, Nvidia recommends a diet of 500W for this card. Would be - it sufficient, or is - this genrous number? In addition, if someone has a product of power supply they would recommend for this theoretical combination, I'd greatly appreciate advice.

    Thank you!

    @Drifterx311, welcome to the forum.

Here are the full specifications of the card on the nVidia website.  The card is double slot and 10.5 "long.  I suggest measurement of the back plate of e/s to the front of the box to see how much space is available.  I think it fits, but it will be tight.

As you said, the specs recommend a PSU 500W (PSU).  Personally, I'd buy one at least 600 w.  This will give you extra power for peak needs.  I love Corsair products.  Here are a few PSU for you to review Newegg.  If you choose a modular power supply it will allow you to install only the cables that are absolutely necessary.  This allows for better air circulation.  The PSU is the backbone of the computer.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about them.  A good diet will make your system run much better.

  • HP Envy 700-327c: graphics card on HP Envy 700-327c update

I just bought and am preparing to install an AMD over-pants W7000 C2K00AT 4 GB GDDR5 SDRAM PCI Express 3.0 x 16 ATI Nvidia Quadro graphics in my HP Envy 700 - 327 c.  Any input as to what I can do to make this a free update of the problem?

    You are welcome.

I would like to do some research before buying a power supply.  You may need more power than I recommended.  It says in the specs it uses less than 150W, but even more than the current PSU can provide with other components.

I'd certainly appreciate hearing how things are going.

I have the HP ENVY 17 t-j130ea running windows 8.1 with i7-4700MQ processor and 12 GB of ram.

    Hello

Unfortunately, the nvidia gpu is integrated with the system board and is not an evolutionary element.

Your laptop will support a maximum of 16 GB of ram (2 x 8 GB modules) - you can find an example of an upgrade on the following link.

    Hello

I can't calrify that because it's a CTO machine and did you pay for the NVIDIA card option when ordering the machine? Pilot is on the site of support, sound as material is not on your machine.

If no physical hardwre, 10 Windows cannot do anything about it. Now, my suggestion: talk to the place where you place your order and ask to give a COMPLETE listing of your computer. Part store lists only the options, not your machine.

  • How to configure HP ENVY 700 - 210xt to install the graphics card EVGA 650 TI boost.

Can someone tell me how to install the graphics card EVGA 650 TI boost in the

    HP ENVY 700-210xt

I replaced the power supply with Corsair RM 650 watt power supply that works very well. Now, I want to go to the graphics card EVGA 650 TI boost. Except, I can't get the driver to load with period of installed equipment. When I put the card into the PCI 16 x slot the computer starts with a blank screen. I pass the DVI video port old computer and the new port card white screen of same at startup. If I turn the PCIe port disabled in BIOS, it starts with the embedded video, but same thing impossible to load drivers that are not able to locate the new video card hardware. Makes me crazy! I don't know that I don't know how to configure the Bios correctly or something. Can anyone help?

I think to buy a HP ENVY Phoenix 860-078na and I was wondering if it is able to take a second graphics card and can accommodate a Corsair H60 liquid CPU Cooler. Thank you

    Felix, welcome to the forum.

There is only one PCI Express x 16 (Genesis 3) slot for a video card.  With respect to liquid cooling, medium size case do not have a lot of space.  I have a Phoenix 860-170VR with an R9-390 X video card and it is extremely tight.  However, having said that, I think you wouldl be pleasantly surprised by the way the computer will be with existing components.  I can play COD series on the best settings.
