  OK I tried. No configuration work at all. And it is a purchased the LR in a group, set current online copy! I am at a loss. While I love the edition is a computer after all and I think I'll have a bit of scrap Lr if I can't solve this problem.

  You can try a system restore to a date well known.  Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)

  If the above did not help, I uninstall and reinstall the software Simplepass.  Using the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 8)

• I'm trying to recover my Windows Vista, but one of my #2 recovery disk does not work... What can I do?

  I copied 2 cd on my hard drive disk recovery & disk #2 does not work. I tried to get through the system recovery to restore the computer to its original factory shipped State. • Hi all. I am running Windows XP Pro OS w/Firefox Add-on 26 does not correctly work anylonger of slow loading and crashes and everything is updated Server SP3 +.

  First of all, happy new year 2014 to Support technical and all everybody on board! I am running the last 26 Firefox on my windows xp pro and my system is all updated Net framework service Pack 1-3 + are good. Legit check, Microsoft etc complaints system. I also have the following extensions added: DNTme + / add-on / Duckduckgo + / and secure Preview-Site Advisor. I constantly receive messages from Firefox plugin like this: Script: chrome://ipv6ident/content/ipv6ident.js:1022 "not answered or busy. I use privet navigation a lot and the biggest problem sites are 'AOL' and my 'add-on' loved and needed. Does anyone else have this problem? And I would be very happy to Support entry on that too please. Thank you once again and please know I love my Firefox and really don't want to use my IE8. "Peek-a-boo" stuff is not help either but I'm certainly not worried at their subject because I do not do something bad or evil, then let them watch on LOL but they of course slow down a lot of things these days ha Ah! • HP envy 15-j067cl Simple Pass does not work

  Just bought Envy 15-j067cl yesterday with the fingerprint reader, which I've never used it before.  I did all the updates of Windows 8 and then upgraded to level to Windows 8.1.  I uninstalled Norton, using the removal tool, because I have a current subscription for other security software.  I tried to find a way to implement the Simple collar, which is what I understand how to set it to use my fingerprints.  I was unable to put in place.  I checked for Validity Sensor Device Manager and saw the yellow exclamation with this message:

  "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) "

  I checked this site, saw a suggestion for drivers of HP recovery, so I did it and now the validity sensor does not show in the Device Manager.  It shows only as "unknown device - another device."  How can I fix it?

  First, if you haven't already done so, install the driver from Chipset 8.1 on the following link.

  Chipset Driver - Windows 8.1

  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  Then see if you can install the following Validity Sensor driver.

• Windows wireless usb AS TP Link TL - WN822N Utility does not work

  This device has been installed on this computer in December 2011 and was active until I removed the unit in February to move to another city.  I was then cable internet service. In June of this year, I rebooted my Windows 7 operating system.  Now, I am wanting to re - install the device on this computer... I can download the appropriate driver, Device Manager indicates which driver I use and works correctly.  What I have a problem with is the utility program for the device.  It loads, but won't work at all.  It is stuck in advanced mode and I need to get into the mode of the system to set up the wireless network. This utility has worked in December, but will not work now.  I had this problem if I use the disc that came with the device or if I download the utility from the manufacturer. The only thing I can think is that a Windows Update is at the origin of the problem, but I would have no way of knowing what update is the cause of the problem. If I knew, I could remove it. At this point, I could re - install Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and disable the updates.  Then add each individually and see if it interferes with the utility.  It's a hassle I would rather.  Does anyone have a solution for this mess?   As it is has no drivers 64 bit Windows 7 on Dell Web site, your best chance is to install the 64-bit versions of Vista (if they exist) in compatibility mode, viz:

  Right click on the Vista driver, then select Properties > Compatibility tab. Now choose to run the program in Vista compatibility mode and then apply > OK. Right click on the file and select run as administrator to install it.

• Windows XP hangs at the splash screen, safe mode does not work either

  I've updated my laptop with a windows update and when I went to restart, it crashes just in the start screen.  I tried in safe mode hanging at MUP. SYS and I tried the last known configuration.  So far these options do not work.  I tried Memtest, HDAT2, Ultimate Boot CD tests, chkdsk/p and chkdsk/r, Windows XP, CD recovery and rebuild, tried to start up with each opening of USB port and even tried formatting and installing Windows XP Pro SP2 and Windows XP Home Edition SP1.  So far I have always in step 1, where nothing has solved nothing.

  I noticed that there is a thread here where a person has had the same problem and he said that it has updated its BIOS.  For hours, now I did research on how update my BIOS by creating a bootable disc...  I'm thumbs on a mile it looks.   Well I tried to Win 7 on a bootable disc.  I followed a bunch of instructions I found on youtube.com, but for some reason that I could not burn to disc.  Kept getting an error even if I followed every perfect step.

  In any case, I watched my CMOS on compensation, but the battery is soldered on.  I just messed with it a little bit to see if it was lost or anything thing but I didn't rip out and one other solder on because I have never done this before.  So I put everything back together, turned on my laptop and it finally starts up the Windows installation screen.  FINALLY!  Thanks for everyone's help and patience.  I guess the battery has lost... but not quite sure.  I left the laptop off for about 4-5 days before I tried to play with the CMOS this morning.

  I hope that someone here will be able to throw some lights on my question, if I post this is the wrong place please let me know because I was directed here (which forum? ). OK, I support and develop custom applications. An older application especially written in Delphi allows users to attached documents (pdf, jpg, txt, etc.) to the records of equipment in a data base. Later users can view these records of equipment and press a button to display the document.

  When the user presses the button to view the document, the application uses the folder variable to save the document to the temporary path and then asks windows via a shell command to open the file. The appeal of Delphi for windows used is the following:

  ShellExecute (GetDesktopWindow, 'open', PChar (TempFile), ",", SW_SHOWNORMAL);

  Normally this process works very well, we have had no problems so far. On a single computer (windows xp pro with Service Pack 3) belonging to a client, instead of opening the file, windows returns the system 31 error and the message ""a device attached to the system is not functioning. ". is displayed.

  * If I navigate to the location where the file is stored on the disk and try to open it, software adobe reader opens the file correctly.

  * I found some suggestions that the file extension is associated properly. PDF associated with Notepad, I changed, and the application could ask windows to open the file very well. Open the file from the location on the work of disc as well. Change the file for adobe and the problem persisted.

  * I reinstalled adobe reader software, but also a previous version of adobe and the problem persisted.

  * The application doesn't have any problem asking other files opened, only those associated with adobe reader on this same machine. The problem does not exist on other machines.

  That about sums up the problem. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
