HP ENVY m6 C2B86EA #ACQ: battery

Hey

Since yesterday I have a problem with my laptop battery, I think. Last night I tried to turn on my laptop without connecting and it does not turn. When I plugged it because I thought my battery was low and it works, it lights up. When I checked the battery percentage, it was 42% and it was written 'do not load. Today I turned it on and the battery percentage was 0% and still was not charging. So I'm sure it's the battery or somehing else. can you please help.

  • HP Envy M6 dx1205: spare battery want M6

My original battery appears to be dead.  I ran several tests using information I found on this forum.  (I have a 0% available, hip, does not support message on the battery in the status bar icon).  I ordered a replacement battery which was not OEM.  Battery is not recognized despite updating the BIOS but also checking uninstall battery under Device Manager. Return this battery.

I went through HP for a new OEM battery, only to be told to go to Impactcomputers.com for the purchase of replacement.  Still, I bought the battery recommended by HP; the company had only non - OEM, but this is where HP sent me.  This battery does not register either.

So for those who read, I have:

    • update BIOS
    • battery tested BIOS
    • tried to use a different power adapter
    • Replace the original flat HP battery to try
    • have tried all the stuff I can find on the internet and on this discussion forum.

I just need help.  I bought two new batteries and will neither recognized so that I can be powered by batteries.  I don't want a portable office.  So very frustrating not to find a battery.  I'm not buying a new laptop with a $50 battery.  It is a problem that can be easily fixed to HP.  Thus, HP, what is your suggestion?

    Hi @4vbgirls ,.

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked in your question about your m6-1205dx HP ENVY Notebook and questions with the correct battery. Here is a link to your Manual 26, page and it shows that the original was a 62WHr of 6 cell 2.8 Ah lithium-ion battery 6 cells, with a part number 671731-001. If a new battery is not considered perhaps there is a problem with the motherboard and charge.

You will need to test in a repair center to ensure that what is a failure.

    Thank you.

  • Want K204TX: Dsicharging of the battery even when the laptop is off

This is a new computer laptop, about 10 days old.

I support 100%, power OFF (no sleep, full power off) the thing and then after one day when I turn on it back, battery is located at 95% and the computer starts to load it.

It is a rejection of 5% in 24 hours.

I thought that Li - ion cells have a self-discharge of 5% per month rate, steps per day!

Why is this happening? Is there something wrong with the laptop?

PS: I have the option disabled in the BIOS to USB charge. And nothing is connected to the computer laptop while it is happening. The laptop is off, no accesorries logged and stored in the backpack I got from HP. But still, the next day, I have 95% of battery and the computer begins to charge the battery again.

    Hi there @johnwinchester,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and Welcome back! I read your post on the HP Support Forums and see that you are curious about the HP Envy K204TX and the battery percentage.

You could try the HP troubleshooting documentation called test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8). Sometimes the battery just needs to be tested and calibrated with Notepad.

  • Made a decision: would you please help a PAO

Hi, I am wanting to buy a new laptop and 71 who, at my age, maybe the last, I'll buy. I wish that the specification to be as good as I can get with a limit price of £1200. I think I narrowed down it to two models (Envy 15-as004na) and spectrum 15 ap007na. Both are models of 4 K. Both are approximately the same size and weight. Aside from the obvious difference of the spectrum being a 2 1With tablet mode, I see the main differences as follows

Envy has PCIe SSD and spectrum M.2 SSD M.2

Envy has 12 GB of ram DDR4 and spectrum has 16 GB of DD3 ram

Envy has 52 WH battery and spectrum has 65WH battery

    Envy has two B & O speakers and spectrum quad B & O speakers

    My questions are

    1. how much faster the urge will be start-up with SSD PCIe?

    2. What is the difference between DDR3 and DDR4?

3 can I assume that the larger battery will give better battery life (I'm not sure that I can go to claimed the life of the battery).

    4. as will be most of my listening with headphones Bose is there a difference between the models of speakers of 2 and 4 sound quality.

I work a lot using Microsoft Office (spreadsheets and databases), but will use the machine more for watching movies (Netflix, which gives movies 4 K and Youtube and also Sky Sports average sky GB)

It does not seem possible for me to go into a store to try computers because they do not stock these computers appear for demonstration purposes.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

You want the tablet feature? I mean, if he wasn't so its replacement by a portable form factor standard for a form factor 2 in 1.

The processors are the same and are very powerful. Same video chip. One is tactile and we're not. Both are IPS 4 k poster that will be wonderful, except in my touch experience tend to be a little muddy compared to not touch.  Both have 512 GB m2. Envy says expressly that's IS. Envy a DDR4, which is a bit faster and works on a lower voltage should thus extend the battery life. Both are 3 cell batteries, but the spectrum has more Watt-hour capacity, so you have to assume there's going to be the longest running.

I would say that envy will run and start more quickly. Not much. Even a M.2 SATA is very fast but the NVME (aka PCI-e) is like instant - on. I have the new spectrum "the thinnest in the world" which has a PCI-e m2 memory card and it is literally instant - we. My previous laptop was a Lenovo Carbon X-1 with a SATA m2 and it was close but not exactly instant - on.

For what you say you will do, I would say either of these laptops is exaggerated and frankly it boils down to how you want the ability to have a tablet form factor. Envy is a little more durable due to DDR4 memory and PCI - e disk.

  • HP ENVY m7-u009dx: battery replacement Options?

I noticed how there is no Abu topic this nor any category on this issue.

I recently bought this laptop HP Envy m7-u009dx and realized that the battery is not external. I use this laptop on a daily basis and know that this laptop will die in a year or 2 because the battery is no longer good or is short on cycles.

If so, what are the options should I get the battery replaced/fixed? Because currently, I don't see any batteries this product online.  I don't know whether to return this laptop to the store or not.

I'd rather have an option of a spare battery to replace me myself, rather than ship it to HP company with chances of there being transport and forwarding accordingly constant damage.

I appreciate it if I can get a response. I love this new laptop, I don't want to waste a new one in 2 years.

  • Charging battery HP Envy x 2 problem

I started having problems with the secondary battery on my HP Envy x 2. I have for a few months now, and first of all, everything was fine. A couple of weeks, I started having intermittent warnings when I lit the envy. He said there was a problem with the calibration of secondary battery and it must be callibrated or possibly replaced. The problem is that even if it says this he sometimes shows that the battery has with full success and sometimes it isn't. It still does not appear to use the load sitting in the accumulator, it is intermittent, too. I have been using the battery calibration procedures and although the battery shows once again as a 100% load he always says that the battery must be callibrated.

    Ok.

Your craving for x 2 has a 11-030ea product name.

Followthe troubleshooting procedures in this document from HP web. If you still have problems with the batteries \an\or load later, I suggest you Contact HP for warranty repair.

  • Displayport ENVY causes battery lose detection and performance max brightness

    I have a HP ENVY 17 - 3D was released in early 2012, running Windows 7.

It has 1 HDMI port and 2 additional display ports. The graphics card is ATI HD 7690 M XT and supports switchable graphics on the fly.

The processor chip is 2nd generation Intel Quad Core i7.

    Problem

When I use the displayport cable "Displayport to DVI" connector active, my battery would not be detected, and the brightness of the computer screen laptop builtin automatically tops out at 100%, without the possibility of reducing its brightness in my custom settings powerplan (100% light is bright for me). I recently started to use the displayport to send video clips as extended desktop to an old monitor LCD of Sony, which has instead of the latest HDMI DVI. The HDMI port has now been connected to the flat screen TV. Even if I converted the portable/DVI on the old Sony HDMI signal, and only a monstercable adapter-nothing fancy, I never lost the features. This started to happen when I started using the display port...

However, as soon as I return to the HDMI output that is unique to all monitors, my battery is still visible, and I can adjust the brightness of the screen through my powerplan again...

This problem is only apparent when I use display port...

Finally, the catalyst software is the original that came with the machine I can't update this because nothing else apparently takes in charge the switchable graphics and have had bad luck with the newer versions... If I'm wrong please let me know...

    What I try to do

Very simply, the laptop's HDMI port will connect directly to a TV dish 1080 p SAMSUNG. This image is simply a mirror of the laptops display, which is also the same resolution - 1080 p. The old Sony monitor simply connects to the Displayport now via an active adapter 'Displayport - to - DVI' to use the extended desktop.

Overall, it's just 1 screen flat TV cloned/updates mirrored on the laptops display in the same resolution (1080 p), and 1 smaller screen for the range of extended desktop. So 3 screens are light in total:

Laptop + SAMSUNG TV via HDMI direct (in mirror and identical - the two 1080 p resolution)

Monitor Sony via displayport using '-Displayport to DVI-' active adapter.

Everything else works fine - I just lost my battery and the ability to control my screen brightness, which is huge for us with power outages and have reduced the brightness...

If anyone has had this problem and what should I do?

    Any help appreciated...

    Thank you very much

    GIO
