I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your computer laptop TouchSmart from HP ENVY 15-j122ea and research of compatibility and upgrading RAM. Hereis a link to your page 47 for compatible memory manuals. I see that the specs are the same and you have a maximum of 16 slots for 2 x 8 MB RAM. Your choice should work just fine.

If not... it might work to some extent but you would risk instability in the system. It is designed to operate at 1.35 volts memory.

Your laptop can support up to 16 GB of RAM, using the configuration of 2 x 8 GB memory Modules.  As stated in my previous post, because the graphics is part of the system map, it is not extensible without replacing the entire system of Council.  I hope this helps.

Hi I was wondering if I could upgrade my cpu to m6-n012dx HP ENVY. The vehicle currently has a 4200 m i5, also what is the model of this laptop motherboard and what are the processors compatible with her if she has any. I hope to upgrade to an i7 4700mq or better

    @EzHoopla
to find compatibility you look in compatibility motherboard, processor generation, chip (your isn't hm86/87 of course), if the CPU is soldered on the Board of Directors, type socket (your have Socket G3 FCPGA946 (rPGA 946 B/947)), power (i5 4200 m a 37w tdp) etc I think 4700mq i7 same socket as yours n , so it should go with theoretically.
go to http://ark.intel.com/m/products/75117/Intel-Core-i7-4700MQ-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_40-GHz#@product/specifications , to check his record and compare with yours (http://ark.intel.com/m/products/76348/Intel-Core-i5-4200M-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz#@product/specifications) & research on this topic.

    hope this helps you.

Cadence is like the speedometer for the video card. More power equals more images per second. The higher the resolution, the more power, keep the same pace. To drive a screen UHD (4 k or even 5 k) a powerful video card to demanding games at a playable speed. Anything more than a year will fall short. You face the eternal dilemma. Everything you buy will not upscale within 90 days. But it is a good time to buy as we just went through a major upgrade point; Skylake platform is a game changer and if you get something with a 6th gen i7 and a 4 k monitor and the best map video there now, you will be good for years to come.

  • HP envy 17-j110 ea: upgrade graphics card

    Hello!

I have a hp envy 17-j110 ea with GeForce GT 750 M and an Intel Core i7-4702MQ @ 2.20 ghz processor.
I want to improve it with better graphics (NVidia GTX M) so it can eventually run to a better quality games. Is this possible? Are compatible with motherboard GTX M series? Or it will cause problems to the laptop?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance. (I'm not that tech savy if you don't understand it )

    Hello:

There is no graphics removable/replaceable 'cards' in your laptop.

There are two GPU (Intel and Nvidia) welded and built into the motherboard.

You are in the upper part of the mark about graphic solutions for your model series.

I just bought 32 GB (2 * 16) G.SKILL RIPJAWS V F4-2133C15D-32GVR DDR4-2133 CL 15-15-15-36 v 1.2 memory to upgrade my HP desktop computer (model 850-065SE of envy). My office has a HP mother 2B3A and i7 - 5820 k and HaswellE chipset. The memory of the plant is of Samsung brand with configuration DDR4-2133.

That means G.SKILL RIPJAWS V 16 GB memoryis is not compatible with this HP computer motherboard? or upgrade the BIOS can solve this problem? or do I return these memory and get 8 GB * 2 instead? Your comments are much appreciated.

  • HP ENVY Sleekbook 4-1000en: upgrading memory on ENVY 4-1000en

    Hello

Since I have some basic computer knowledge, but I want to be sure before you go for it, I need your advice.

I have a HP ENVY Sleekbook 4-1000en and I have recently upgraded to HDD and the OS.

I think the upgrade of RAM have, as far as I know that you need 2 memories of the same type, so I guess I can't buy an another 4 GB right?

Do I need 2 x 4 GB of DDR3 memory, of the same type to make it work? For example they would work very well

    http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-8gb-high-performance-sodimm-memory-upgrade-kit-cmsx8gx3m2a1600c9 ?

Finally the upgrade memory requires any other configuration after plugin in? Is a format for example?

    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

The following link shows the specifications of your computer:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03362810

It has 4 GB of RAM now. The question is 4 GB in a dwelling or in the two slots (2 + 2).

b in the case of a home, you can just buy another 4GB with SAME part/characteristics of the EXISTING RAM and install in the second slot.

    (b) if in 2 slots (IE 2 + 2), then throw them both and buy 2 new sticks 4 GB each. Agin use even care.

You don't need to format RAM. Moreover, we have only to format HDD/SSD but not RAM. And Yes, push in the two slots must be same same specs even marks to be able to get all the benefits.

    Kind regards.
