HP ENVY m6 problems audio / visuals

HP ENVY m6-1117TX

64-bit Windows 8

My laptop worked perfectly well until the "HP Support Assistant" recommended I have install the updates. After installation a list of updates and restarting the PC I tried to play music via iTunes, but there was no sound and also was not going to the iTunes progress bar, iTunes is not frozen, I can click on songs and add files, etc. The only thing wrong with it is that it won't play sound and the progress bar will not move.

I then went to VLC media player to view a video, but the video would not play at all, I tried to play the video through the video windows application 8 and I got an error message.

"Can't play. Make sure that sound cards and video of your computer are working and have the latest drivers, and then try again.

0xc00d11d1 (0x8007007e).

I checked all the drivers through the Device Manager and everything is up-to-date. I can also go on youtube and watch a video without any sound or Visual problems at all. I have also connected my TV HDMI cable to my PC and iTunes worked perfectly when I was duplicating the screen.

Hi all!

I'm sorry that you use in this sound issue after updates from HP Support Assistant crossed! I definitely want to you all helping them solve this problem in particular because it seems to be updates that caused the problem. I need information well because it resembles what happens on different models.

I will need to:

(1) your product number (P/N). You can get that by pressing FN + ESC.

(2) your BIOS version, found on this same screen information product. Search for "f. #' and let me know what it is.

(3) your current version of the sound driver, found in Device Manager > sound, video and game controllers > properties > driver tab > version number.

With this information, I can compare versions of driver to see if there are certain trends and offer you links to the best driver for your exact model if necessary.

Someone at - he tried to uninstall the sound driver and restart the computer? Here are the steps.

1. open Device Manager

2. expand sound, video and game controllers

3. double-click on IDT HD Audio to open properties

4. click on the driver tab

5. click on the button uninstall

6. restart when you are prompted to. During the restart Windows will detect and reinstall the driver missing.

Sometimes, this process of uninstallation/reinstallation can correct small glitches that happened during the update process. I'll keep an eye of responses

  • Strange problem with Visual Studio

    Hello.

I hope to be in the right section.
For some time (I can't say precisely how much, maybe since I've upgraded to Windows 10) I have a problem with Visual Studio 2013.
In practice, after a few minutes, what is open (without doing special things, even just type code) goes down. comes the message "Not responding" and I have to restart to continue working (say that work this way, it becomes impossible).
I tried to reinstall but I have not solved, I have also the same problem even with Visual Studio 2015.
The strange thing is that this problem is only with my user account, and with the remote desktop, sessions instead works without problem.
    What is the problem?

    Thanks a lot to all

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

  • Audio visual problems with Windows XP

I hope someone can help me - I have a problem that's driving me crazy! I have a Satellite Pro A120, running Windows XP.

It began during the last week, ever since I got an update. Computer starts fine, but when I open some software (Word or Outlook), the screen seems to jump and my familiar taskbar going green/blue grey - not the same as the taskbar Windows classic because the Start button is displayed in a big.

Added to that I lose sound so I can not play videos - I opened to the top of sounds and Audio devices, and nothing is selected with the shaded volume bar and the pointer to the left. Also, I have my Office 2003 programs put in place to open in a nice shade of blue... but now they open in gray. More depressing!

I have a round work is to "let it happen", back on the desktop, select the Windows Classic theme, then the XP theme, then go to the run menu, type services.msc and 'start' Windows Audio and then everything seems OK... until I start it again!

Have tried setting a Restore Point earlier - this has not solved the problem.

Have you tried the patch XP KB 935448 from the Microsoft support site - this has not solved the problem.

Phoned A Tosh and speaks at a high-level technician (sweet girl) who really can't help me... have forced me to re - install the latest version of the sound driver she thought it might be a hardware problem - can not see it is a hardware problem myself.

Grateful for any help. Thank you very much.

    Hello Lindsay

First of all, I must say that it is really not easy to deal with such problems, especially for the technical support agents. They must define if there is some hardware or software problem designed Toshiba. It's really not easy to be able to relate to this suddenly or after update problems.

If system restore didn't help something serious. Maybe you should really backup your data and do some clean OS install.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver from the link below.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63001-63500/sp63408.exe

Once the reinstallation is complete, shut down the laptop by pressing the SHIFT key when you click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.  Then disconnect the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

  • HP ENVY E1P05AV: IDT Audio Driver problems in Windows 7

For the past few weeks, I dealt with the same audio swings and speaker problems that a lot of people here have complained.  I am aware of the updated driver for those who have Windows 8 computers, but I have a Windows 7.  This computer was purchased in June, after my previous HP laptop (which therefore had no problem) had to be replaced.  Restarting the computer solved for a few minutes, but there always questions until it inevitably makes it so I can't hear anything or play videos.  I uninstalled, deleted and reinstalled the driver IDT several times including downloadling directly on the site of HP. I sat and looked at the settings Audio Beats swing back and looked like Windows Explorer crashes because I tried to change the volume on my keyboard settings.  Most of the time, I can not even restart or shut down my computer more, it just stays on a black screen with the power light until I turn OFF manually or the battery dies.

I am so frustrated with this and even more so by the fact that a fix has been pushed through for the users of Windows 8, but you leave those of us with Windows 7 stuck with unusable laptop computers.  Please tell me how I can fix this or direct me to someone who can help me to replace my laptop.  Thank you.

P.S. I'm not angry with you, just at the situation, I'm sorry to sound like a jerk.

I solved the problem, but thank you very much for your help.

Audio swings and the total lack of audio was caused by a loose speaker inside the computer wire.  I was able to tie it and everything works fine now.

  • HP Envy 23 - K030: Audio problems with HP envy 23-K030 and Windows 8.1

I read all the discussions on audio problems with the IDT High Definition Audio Driver and Windows 8.1
I get audio on my speakers ONLY and not the headset.
I uninstalled rebooted and reinstalled the correct driver by this web site of HP support for my machine.
    no luck - same behavior.

The only thing that worked was the IDT driver installation and Windows device driver high definition.
The headphone jack are properly behaved and everything is ok worked.  However, I lose the audio Panel BEATS and the functions of the Board of Directors of IDT.   (superior quality sound-even with the built-in speakers).

An interesting thing I noticed, when the Microsoft driver is used (and work) on the control panel for this device, it presents "the left panel making" when the configuration screen for the 'speakers '.  for the official driver of IDT, it shows 4 outlets - none of them say "left sidebar", there's rear panel and a plug of façade.    On the old driver that didn't work, he showed "right pane" and there is no control on the right panel.

I think the pilot is simply wrong of this material. The driver is to look 10/2013-it is as if it were updated for this model ALL in ONE - only when it comes to use the headphone jack.

Is there a better driver (I can't "find one beyond 6.10.6486.0 or 6.10.6491 - both had the same problem.)

I do not use my time to often-rarely-last helmet I used them they have worked. Now, they are not - a few automatic updates upset the balance of the force.

Any help would be appreciated. IF not - it is a problem that a person should study.

Also it is reproducible. I have install generic Microsoft driver-headphone jack works and the sound Jack not pregnant, I re - install IDT player - his fate only speakers and not jack.

    I thought about it.

BIOS V 80.09 (on this wonderful site to Support HP) - does all the work

V80.05 - did not work properly with this Version of Bios.

Thank you HP very useful site if you take the time to browse through all the updates.

  • Envy 15: HP ENVY sudden screeching audio and graphics lag spike

So, for a few months now, when I'm playing Dota 2 or watching youtube videos, will lag all of a sudden my HP ENVY 15 and a shrill noise coming through my headphones. Essentially, it freezes and I have trouble getting the keyboard and mouse to react this way. After about a minute late shrill and intense, he slowly starts working again.

I searched the Internet and found this thread archived on an ASUS laptop that had the same problem as mine.  http://Rog.ASUS.com/Forum/archive/index.php/t-14960.html?s=d5a890ce396bc7d95eb5990f9123650a

In this thread, they seemed to think the network drivers or Mcafee has been the cause of the problem. I didn't ' have Mcafee and I updated my drivers for Realtek network card, and the problem has not disappeared. In this thread, someone posted a video on youtube showing the shift, and it's exactly the same thing is happening to me:

    Hi @GeneralSu ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked in your question about your laptop 15 HP ENVY TouchSmart and sudden screeching audio and graphics trolling. Here is a link to the computer hangs or freezes which may help.

Any Virus protection program can cause the same issue. Try disabling it temporarily to see if that helps.

You could try a refresh with Windows 8. Please read all the documents before you start. Will arrange your sound and trolling.

Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

Hope this helps, please let me know.

    Thank you.

  • problem audio iTunes 12.4

I use iTunes 12.4.3.1 with an AMD Sempron 145 2.80 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 129 GB free on my hard drive.

Whenever I play a song, the sound stutters. Reminds me of back in the day when I want to play the music on a PC of shit and he couldn't deal with things like the open disk drive, so the music would be kind of slow down and get all the stutter-y and jerk-y for a few seconds. But that shouldn't be the case now, and the stuttering is not match with anything else happening on my computer, which means that the problem occurs even if nothing else happens. The audio quality is almost constant. It makes my library of music essentially useless. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

You could try to set the audio bitrate.  See:

12 iTunes for Windows: iTunes playback preferences

The parameters must match your settings in the sound control panel in Windows.  Don't know if that's the problem.  Just a thought.
