    Hello

    Try the following.

Download the Realtek Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp69501-70000/sp69618.exe

When finished, press and hold the Windows key and press R In the Run box, type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER.

Expand sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp73501-74000/sp73543.exe

When the reinstallation of chipset is finished, stop the laptop.

Start Notepad and when Windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right-click on the setup of Realtek Audio and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once done, restart the laptop.

  • HP ENVY notebook - m7-k211dx: Synaptics ClickPad will not be disabled. Reactive after reboot.

Whenever I have disable Synaptics ClickPad using the option 'disable the internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached', it works fine until I restart. When I return in the options, it is still once unchecked. I tried to turn off the drivers, but they are grey, but wan't to avoid this meathod ultimately because it is not ideal for me.

    Action taken:

    • Update to the latest drivers.
    • Disable the cache and history cleaning software.
    • Try different USB ports.

(That's fine, but when I restart it unchecks itself)

    Thanks, Mike

    Mike,

Sorry it took me awhile. I have all the "Nitty Gritty" details if you want, but the "net-net" is the update of this option writes in "HKCU" and there is a "HKLM" in the register which is default location and never changes.

I managed to do that work by changing the corresponding section of HKLM in the registry. It not be "rejected" at each logon as the HKCU section seems to be. The ICON remained "hidden" which is what I wanted to happen with the change below.

Try this and see if it works for you!

    1. open Regedit.exe

    2. go to the location next to the register:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTPEnh

    3. Note the REG_DWORD value named - TrayIcon

    4. the numbers of data match this way:

    0 x 0000001 (1) DEFAULT = which is the active ICON

    0 x 0000011 (17) = animated ICON

    0 x 00000021 (33) = disabled ICON

    5. change it to what you have been wishing, in my case it was 21 Hex or Dec 33 for DISABLED ICON.

    6. exit Registry Editor

    7. restart to test or log-off/log-on to test.

NOTE: If REG_DWORD is not here, it is probably safe to add it, but in my case it was already there it was just the value 1 and never changed when I changed the settings. Only the section HKCU did who has always retired at the end of my session when I disconnected or restarted.

Let me know the results! I hope it suits it for you!

    Hello

I bought a P200-157 to my son in summer 2007.
My son decide without asking me, upgrade the bios of motherboard with the VICTORY of 1.70 he downmloaded on the Toshiba download server.

He started the update in windows mode.
Unfortunalety, the upgrade stopped during the backup previous version. The laptop was frozzen.

It never boot from the problem of the tha.
I'm tying to create a crisis, but recovery disk it of seem to exist different versions of PHLASH16. EXE.

Do any of you know if crisis mode-recorery is available for laptop P200?
What version of PHLAS16. EXE is required and in what mode the disk has to be create (native DOS mode)?

I bought a USB external floppy drive and try the last days, but unsuccefully.

    Kind regards. Yves (France).

    Hi dude

    That s a pity :(
The update of the BIOS is always a tricky process and there is always a small piece of risk.
Usually, if the BIOS update has failed then you need a help of a technician of the ASP.

The point is that you would need an update of the traditional BIOS to reflash the chip for the BIOS again.
But the Toshiba driver page provides only the victory of the BIOS which can be updated only from Windows OS-based.

Therefore, you will need to contact a local ASP which might help you.

    Dude good luck

If you haven't tried items on this thread then get started with them.  XP troubleshooting

So I recommend you to run Chkdsk/r

And test your memory with the Memory Diagnostic.

Given that this error occurred with two versions of Windows, I would check the material to ensure that it is not a problem with anything. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  • High power user, need help!

    Hello

I'm a long-time mac user, so even though I know how to use pc and windows OS am nowhere near as competent as you guys.

I am looking to buy a new laptop, but have high power requirements. I'm going to do a lot of 3d modeling & made as well as the use of photoshop files.

Can help guys point me in the direction of a computer good dell laptop. I'm not the biggest fan of the envelope of xps and would rather something of the dell precision range Sylvie that this is certainly not a decisive factor.

As mentioned that it will be used a lot so I need something that can really take what I throw at it.

An important factor will be what windows operating system to run with. I was not too impressed by what I've seen of Vista but do not know much. Should I try and run Windows xp or vista uped has it's game?

Screen size wise I don't mind past for 15.4 "instead of 17" as could always get an external monitor to sit with him.

    Help, please
