Hello

Resaerch very well. A few things you need to check

physical location in your computer, is the new spread of map (width, length)

(b) power supply (your machine a 600W PSU, should be ok for 2 cards listed).

(c) to ensure that BIOS supported new card.

    Hi all

My Satellite M40-231 has an ATI Mobility Radeon X 600 SE and I would like to upgrade to deal with the demands of today's games, but also a new HARD drive, but the latter, I think that I can go as far as the 120 GB HARD drive.

    SUGESTIONS are welcome.

    TKS

Sorry, buddy, but this is not possible!
There are several discussions about upgrading the GPU on mobile phones and all the threads said the same thing that's not possible.

The point is that most graphic cards chips are outside the motherboard and cannot be deleted.
You must understand that technology for portable computers is not the same thing as the technology of desktop PCs and more upgrades are not possible.

Which could be upgraded are the memory modules and HARD drive.

  • Pavilion n201ax: upgrading the GPU, the CPU and the RAM of my laptop n201ax

Maybe it's a very long post, but please answer because I really need answers to each of these questions and I really want to upgrade my laptop to the best configuration, if I CAN.

Let me make this clear first.

    * In the next contained the words 'this portable' always refers to Hp Pavilion 15-n201ax *.
Good then everything first I read somewhere that the maximum Ram of this laptop can be expanded up to 16 GB, but i came up with this link here-

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/hardware-upgrades-replacements/I-would-like-to-upgrade-memory-of-my-lap...

And then I came to know that it can only be upgraded to 12 GB page chapter 1 Description this Guide - #2

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04438537.PDF

First of all I would like to ask, is that,

    1. can I buy a RAM of any brand but the same 1600 mhz clock speed ofc IE?, then can I go to the GSkill 1600 Mhz DDR3 4 GB of ram?

    2. the size matter for respective locations? or I can install the 8 GB and 4 GB of ram in any other slots?

So this was all about the RAM

But I need to know if I can change the discrete GPU and the APU of this laptop

3 and if yes - which are compatible mobile GPU that I can install by removing the previous one ie AMD 8600 M (for example graphics R9, R7 and R5 for laptop)

4 and who are the compatible APU I can install by removing the APU previous IE AMD APU A10 - 4655 M (for example the AMD FX APU for laptops)

    5. If I can upgrade the GPU and APU both please tell makes compatibility issues? as only a specific GPU can work with a specific APU IE as in this laptop AMD APU A10 - 4655M + AMD 8600 M GPU.

    Please help me, please.

    Thanks in advance.

    Pavilion 15-n201ax?

We may need to refer to the owner's manual here:

    Your repair manuals

Officially, it supports only 12 concerts. Your model has a single module of 8 GB if you have an open slot. Unofficially, users here can have reported that add another 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts will work fine. It's something you take the risk of making but it is not official.

The part numbers for the appropriate memory are listed on page 42. You must DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM.

If you want to go formal, the 4 GB module is: 691740-001

    Is this on amazon.com:

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-691740-001-1600MHz-PC3L-12800-memory/DP/B00CI08FX4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1437948185&SR=8-1&keywords=691740-001

You just leave the concert 8 where it is and add the new memory into the open slot.

On your laptop model, the GPU/APU is soldered to the motherboard. In order to make any upgrade, you will need to buy a new motherboard. You have an idea together wrong GPU/APU can be removed and replaced and this is incorrect. The term APU refers to a processor that has integrated video, so the whole issue on the compatibility between the GPU and APU just missing the mark. On some systems, the GPU/APU is socketed and can be replaced which is used to replace/upgrade the processor and the video function but as stated above, on your this involves pulling and replacing the entire motherboard.

    There is available a little better/graphics processor using AMD A10 - 5745M 8670 M (2.9 GHz/2.1 GHz, 2 GB L2, 1333 MHz DDR3L Quad 25W) for use with Standard Windows. The part of the motherboard is 734824-501

HP does not store the Council, but I found this line:

    http://www.discounteddealz.com/product.asp?Itemid=327740&gclid=CO78y6rn-cYCFQmCaQodOP0GLQ

Never heard of this seller and can not be a guarantor, but the price is very reasonable for this Council. I was expecting to be a little more makes me wonder about this seller a little. I would advise to keep what you have. He is very strong for AMD and the upgrade to the Commission on the A10-5745 will result in only a very small increase in performance to a very high cost in money and efforts.

  • HP Envy 750-150: I can upgrade the GPU?

Hey. I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade my GPU a Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 980 on the HP Envy, as im currently saving up for a GTX 980 and im wondering if I should. Any answer would be useful.

The differences areillustrated here.  Secure boot must be disabled, as will detect a different material. The GTX960 probably comes with the PSU 500W PSU, so you OK because it shows a configuration with the GTX980Ti file.

  • Is satellite C650-1CP - possible to upgrade the GPU?

    Hello

I just wanted to ask a question about my graphics card with respect to the games.

I discovered recently that the integrated graphics chips are not only good for gaming so I did a bit of reading on the subject and found something to say that there is a possibility that you can send the laptop to the manufacturer and buying a chip upgrade or pay for a better installed.

Is this possible? and if this is the case, what kind of price would you watch. My laptop is a C650-1CP as I said in the title.

    Thank you

No, it is certainly not possible.

Ive been upgraded my laptop and updated my ram and hard drives, and bought a Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 m update kit. I know not how to change video and easily installed maps (grounding prevent me electrostatic and protect the card). passed to the map intel before the upgrade and after the first device manager start that he read as standard VGA adapter and its status is that it wouldn't start. I updated my bios and updated the driver for the pilot to 980 m from nvidia and changed the graphics card to the new by using the fn + f7 command and rebooted my computer.

at the start he gave me a blank screen and the 8 beep error code. He looked up and I think it's a faulty card or bad memory on the card. contacted eurocom support and they think that there's a way to get it to work but I'm not so sure. It's the weekend, so they don't come back to me until Monday. someone at - it experience with this or know what I can do now? I am currently back on my card to 660 m.

Everything you did before but not FN + F7 at the end. However, I'd install drivers Nvidia from Dell this time. The last Dell has is either 347.52 (WHQL-quality; you can get this driver from the Alienware support page 13/15/17 R2 on the Dell support site) or 350,12 (beta for Dell). There are also 347.90, but it is quite difficult to find a complete driver for this driver.

When you uninstall the drivers of the GPU, use DDU. It's just a more sure way to uninstall the drivers.

  • HP ENVY h8-1409: upgrade the GPU card mother IPMMB-FM (Formosa)

I currently have a ti 750 EVGA installed without any problem with this motherboard. The BIOS on this forum is listed as UEFI with a version of 8.21 FRIEND whose date of 21/10/2014.

I'll be able to spend to the 10xx GTX as a 1060 series, or maybe a RX 480 without any obsolete BIOS problem? I know that some old motherboards from HP could not start even a card GTX series 7xx due to an outdated BIOS that HP did not update.

    Hello

You said that the jury is listed with FRIEND 8.21. Check that your PC is running FRIEND 8.21?

You shouldn't have a problem to start the recent graphics cards, if your computer is running a version 8 BIOS. Ensure that the selected card suits and corresponds to the power supply of your PC.

  • Can satellite A200 (PSAFCA) - I upgrade the GPU?

    Hello

I have a Satellite A200. PSAFCA-01K00J. It is the system bought in Australia around mid-2007. There are currently a processor Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 intslalled on the system graphics.

Preliminary investigation which leads me to believe, there are limited options of upgrade for the laptop, but there seems to be a number of anomalies to lead me to think the upgrade may be at hand. For example.

In my user manual, he described my gpu in the following way:

    model lnVidia GeForce Go 7300:
128 MB external VGA DDR2 RAM (depending on the model you have purchased).

The external Word I think fact now refers to the interface type. As some A200 Intel 258 MB marked as integrated Gpu (and I'm the average current integrated without possibility of upgrade). This offers as well the nVidia is not integrated and leads me to believe it's connection MXM and so editable / extensible.

Another thing to back up this idea is software Nvidia located in the control panel includes a section on system information and she calls the PCI express X 16 bus. If I'm not mistaken refers to a normal PCIe - certainly editable location. However being a laptop they might have it Mobile and so Mobile PCI Express Module and I'm back to MXM with ability to upgrade.

This is confirmed if he please, and are there toshiba fans that could lead me to a card apropriate - perhaps off the coast of the Nvidia tray or even a chance for a toshiba laptop later. at least 256 MB or better 512.

I have ike using this laptop, never had a problem. just be to hang out, and given that I would not buy a new car every time that I ran out of gas, I don't want to buy a new computer, when I am more then happy with the one I have for all other functions.

    Thank you

    Hello!

In my opinion it's not possible to change the graphics card. As far as I know the graphics chip is soldered on the motherboard.

In addition, if the graphics card would be exchangeable I think than the motherboard or BIOS will not support the new graphics card. The point is that laptops are not favourable so upgrade as a desktop PC.

Check this Toshiba document and think about it:

My tech challenged, disabled 100%, 20 years bro Army veteran, had 3 mobos in this computer with the nvidia gpu is problematic. Is there a permanent fix to this HUGE PROBLEM. SEMPER FI. AND TO ALL THE VETERANS OF AMERICA, WELCOME, CLOSER TO HOME.

Permanent, no. Difficulty, Yes, maybe. The best is to send not only the video chip to one of the best sellers on eBay who will be actually rebuild the motherboard and redistribution. A new laptop is out of the question? A good state of repair can be as low as $60 if you may remove the motherboard and send it just for repair.

  • Is it possible to upgrade the GPU in this laptop HP DV7 - 2043cl

I searched on the net, and I'm mixed responses.  I just got a laptop additional thanks to an agreement of craigslist and I was wondering what, if any update I could do for her. I did a little research and if I could upgrade it seems I might be able to put a 5850 in this machine without having to replace anything else.

  • 23 envy d027c All In One with the card mother Lavaca3-SB IPISB - NK. How to upgrade the video card?

I have a HP Envy 23 d027c All In One with the card mother Lavaca3-SB (pegatron) IPISB-NK.  It has a PCI slot available for upgrade of the video.  I want to do this.  I intend to use the pc for video processing and maybe a few games.

    How to pass the video?

What cards are best for this system?

What has changed in the BIOS or other settings I should do?  How can I get them?

    Thank you

    Art

The PCIe MXM slot is for HP install graphics cards in some models CTO (configure-to-order). Without the card installed when you purchased the computer, there the fan and radiator bad sets. You will need to buy a graphics card and the heatsink / fan of HP to try to upgrade the GPU in your computer. There is an extensive disassembly involved in this procedure. All-in-One computers have much more in common with laptops than they do with traditional desktop computers.

Honestly, if you want to do video processing and games... you should get a traditional desktop with enough CPU and GPU for these activities.

Also, we went to electronics, Fry's and bought a new power supply, a N500 Lepa, which is a power of 500w. We have successfully installed your new diet.

Now, when I removed the old GPU, and put in the new GPU, PC turns on, the Red led light on the front comes on and stay red, but the PC unbootable. The screen is black, and it is not initialized.

I once forgot to connect the power supply to the GPU. That day the PC started to boot the system & I was able to use logmein remote inside to turn it off, but once the machine was turned off again and I plugged the power of pin PCIexpress 6 pay-per-view, same behavior. PC is out of warranty w / HP, so that they are without help.

I went to the website of HP and the BIOS update. still no luck.

We have added some third-party RAM. I tried to remove the third-party RAM to see if it was the question. Does not solve it. I tried to remove the OEM ram and install just the 3rd part of RAM, but has not made a difference either.

There is not BIOS version 8 available. Your situation is not a happy scenerio.
