  This morning Thunderbird updated itself and a window pops up saying shortcut to thunderbird does not exist. After that I can't find where it is so that I can run.

  Thank you very much. Yes, the problem was exactly the same. Thunderbird executable disappeared after an update. I reinstalled it simply by downloading the configuration file. All my configurations and emails and folders, etc were in place. A great feeling to not lose everything. Again, thank you for your kind reply.

  The problem seems to have been fixed. When I checked to make sure that all the other modules are accessible, Lightroom 4 quit, rebooted and then checked something - "power point curves", went through a kind of internal procedure, after having whiuch the problem no longer existed. The error message was: "an error occurred when attempting to change modules." I decided to respond this way in case somebody stumbles into that.

  I typed in the search box and the open program winword, but now how do I add it to my startup (and to see it reported once more as an active program)?

  My PC is Windows XP - I think that it's the home edition.  Word 2003.   I started my computer this morning after having been turned off during the weekend and it was very slow.  Safely, I rebooted twice but no difference - then did two tough stops.  Norton 360 (no problem popped up) and restarted the computer.  Everything worked fine until I went to start a new Word document.

  I tried to do a system restore but it says that no changes have been made to my computer.  But I know that's not true!

  Help!

  Word Viewer is (probably) the application from Microsoft which allows you to view documents created with newer versions of Word (Word 2007 and Word 2010).  In general, they are saved as files instead of.doc, *.docx files.

  You can create a shortcut on the desktop to the Word as follows:

  • Right click on a box empty the desktop and select new > shortcut
  • Click the Browse button and locate winword.exe, which for Word 2003, should be in
  • C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11
  • Click next
  • In the 'Name' box, replace Winword.exe with Word (or whatever you like)
  • Click on finish

  If you also want an entry in the start menu > all programs list.

  • Click the Start button, and then select open all users
  • Double-click the "Programs" folder
  • Right-click and drag the shortcut on the desktop that you created in the folder open ' programs' and select 'Copy here' in the context menu

• INTERNET TV missing from the Media Center window after installation of updates this morning

  Good afternoon. 2 64-bit of Windows 7 computers: updating WMC this morning... both now Miss INTERNET TV. In 'Settings', I see the INTERNET TV with 'ticks', but not available in the guide channels. Reset my connection INTERNET has no effect. Option also missing in the 'TV' icon... only "Recorded TV" and "setup Live TV" now available on both computers. Fortunately we still have Netflix right now... for how long? Read some old answers here, but none seem applicable.

  on turning on my pc this morning, firefox did an update and since then I could not connect to the internet with it.
  It sits right on a page saying connection

• Installed the latest important updates this morning; upon restart, the computer didn't work as expected. now behaves as if the motherboard is dead.

  This morning at appx. 1:30 AM PST, I installed the latest important updates from the Windows Update Manager on my HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop. I did manually, by a double click on the little icon in the toolbar and clicking on the button install. Once the update had completed, I clicked on the "restart later" button and close my computer using the Shut Down command - the usual symbol "click here to close and complete the installation" didn't appear. I thought it was a little weird, but chalked it up to the fact that I had taken the lead and made the installation.

  About an hour and a half later, after being able to get to sleep, I decided that I would try to do a job. I pressed the power button and my computer started well upward, giving me the ' now install, update (1/3) [percentage] completed. Do not turn off your computer. "message. Which is quite normal, let him do his thing without turning it off.

  The update is completed and I am greeted by my office. Displays the logon to Gmail Notifier window, and that's when my problems began: I tried to move the arrow to disappear, and the arrow has not moved. The circle of "transformation" had, next to the arrow, so I thought it must be a minor hiccup. I've waited, waited and waited... But even after all of my normal startup programs loaded, my mouse has failed.

I download attachments from people I don't know no/trust (I can't, my antivirus program deletes attachments in emails from spam); I use Firefox with NoScript and anti-ad; My AV/Antispyware/malware program is always up to date and six types of awesome and more.

  My system is Windows Vista Home Premium on an HP Pavilion dv6000. I have an AMD Turion 64 x 2 processor and a Nvidia mobile graphics card (I don't remember exactly who he is; I can't the specs). I don't have a DVD of restoration, for reasons that did not need explores right now. I had my phone on... Two years, I think. I'll have to double check.

  I can't start in safe mode, because I get nothing - no POST, no beeps, without bumps. The CD/DVD drive makes some noises, as he is looking for a drive (there isn't one in the drive), and that's it.

  I think I have to take someone and make them open and see what's the problem, but I appreciate any thoughts/ideas/opinions/assistance that anyone can give. Thank you for your time and attention.

• Firefox keeps crashing after update this morning

  Turned my work computer on and firefox had an update for today. Updated and since then it will not start. It will only crash upon restart it hangs again and send a report. Tried to go to safe mode, but it keeps crashing.

  Really frustrating as this my work computer with all my passwords and links saved to it.

  You may have to reinstall Firefox 31 temporarily until someone figures more information about this particular crash signature.

  To properly replace your program files Firefox 32 (without affecting your settings):

  (1) this section has a link to get the installer: install an older version of Firefox.

  (2) rename the folder (Windows 64-bit folder names)

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
  

  TO

  C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox
  

  (3) run the installation program that you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

  It starts and runs correctly?

  If so, one note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \OldFirefox\Plugins
  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \OldFirefox\browser\plugins

  Otherwise: We were looking for an issue or in the folder of the external/malware software settings.

  Since yesterday, we have a lot of crashes with Roboform. Install the latest version of Roboform 7.6.2 should solve this problem according to the related Bug 691271.

  If you do not report or Roboform, so we must have an ID of crash as Daniel suggested report.

  Just to inform that during the process of update of Skype version 7.24.85.104 on my windows 7 sp1 clients suddenly removed my wallpaper to wallpaper black solid color.

  I couldn't see that everything about the newspaper of windows.

  Just in case you think, not my windows client is fully active.

  My apologies, the update ran just by chance then that another problem with my graphics card has caused this problem.

• I did an update this morning and my drive to update to adobe acrobat DC.

  I need to work as a Navigator in reader as I complete the forms online and save and submit online. There is no option in the preferences to make a browser to. It does not show as a plugin on my google chrome.

  Hi, I found this thread while having the same problems with Adobe Acrobat Reader Plugin for Chrome DC not work and disappeared.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat Reader and even Chrome nothing helps.  After seeing the staff above answer I have remembered seeing a NPAPI list in the page of the parameters indicative of Chrome.  If you go to chrome://flags/ and look half way down on the list or even do a find on the page (Ctrl + F) for NPAPI, there is an indicator of settings to «Enable NPAPI Mac, Windows» This setting has been disabled on my system, but when I click on activate and relaunched Chrome, all my returned plugins and the Plugin Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for Chrome works again.

• I did updates in Bridge and Photoshop but now Camera Raw custom to treat my D610 Nikon RAW files.  I did the update this morning, ACR still does not.  Help!

  Help, please.  Last night, I did the update prompted by my subscription creative cloud and files where viewable and editable in Bridge and Camera Raw yesterday cannot be converted today.  Small thumbnails of some of the images are visible in the bridge, but not all.  And none are adjustable in Camera Raw.

  I restarted my PC.

  Still no change.  I did another update of the bridge and then restarted.

  No change.  I did the update to Camera Raw 9.1 then restarted.

  Still no change.

  It is huge for me time burden as I have jobs and assessments due.  Please tell me what to do.

  Support had me ctrl + alt pressed I open the bridge.  It has a reset option.  Once I reset and purge the cache location problem has been resolved.
