  • L50 - A satellite - state of the power supply is lit, but laptop will not start.

    Hello
A few months ago, I bought a new Toshiba laptop L50 - A Satellite. He worked incredibly in all directions until about a week ago when it lights. He has been connected to the charger with the charging light but does not illuminate. When I press the power button, the small ring of orange around the button light turns on and will be so all the LED lights on the front of the laptop, as well as I can hear the fan and other work items, but the screen remains black. This has been the case for a little over a week now and at random, two of the times I tried to power on my laptop, he turned on and working but then after that be cut, it wouldn't work again. He has not worked since 5 days and since then I tried to turn it on.

One of my friends who knows a thing or two suggested perhaps it was the display that was defective and should I try to connect it to my TV via a HDMI cable. This seemed logical, so I gave him a test in the hope that he'd at least let me know what was the problem, but no fixed image displayed anywhere.

My laptop is almost always connected to the charger and an expensive cooling fan, so I guess that battery and components must still work most of the time, and I've read that this laptop is designed so that you cannot remove the battery, but I do not know how to in any case.

I tried a few different methods to try to start it as now the Start button / stop and the ESC key for 10 seconds, now back while pressing the power button and pressing the power button while pressing F8 repeatedly. But none of them worked so far.

If anyone has any ideas or a way to help, that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, Julian.

    Hello

The L50 - A Satellite supports a stop (hole) switch located at the bottom of the unit.

Cell phone is freezing, do not start or has a power failure, which cannot be resolved by pressing the button for 10 seconds (force shutdown), please use stop force switch instead of the main battery.

During a stop by pressing this button force, the behavior of the system is identical to unplug the AC adapter and remove the main battery.

  • Power supply for HP g71 laptop adapter

Hello. My sister has HP G71 laptop and he had so many questions. She dropped me last night because I'm good with computers. After checking it with so many problems and as a mess of a PC. I thought that it is better to perform a system recovery, all over again. When I went to do recovery it say that the battery is low and the battery was at 99% tells me to plug and the adapter sector is plugged into the wall outlet. seems the cord of the adapter is charging the battery, but the laptop does not recognize that it connected to the wall outlet. even the lights on the front lights is on. so far I have closure to the low a battery out I tried to turn it on with just the cord does not on without the battery in it the adapter cord is in charge the batter but the laptop it itself acknowledges that its plugged on the line, I read that it is not only his cell phone, it's a lot of people have had the same problem with these laptops in any help would be great. because at this point, I can't do a reset on this PC yet.

I suggest you reset the computer of hard edge. Sometimes these types of problems can be solved in drain completely the power of the PC and then reintroduce.

    To perform a hard reset

Shut down the computer by going to the menu start and select shut down. (If you have no display, hold the button for 5 seconds)
Unplug the adapter from the laptop.
Remove the battery from the bottom of the laptop. There will be a switch/battery eject button.
Wait at least 1 minute with all sources of power disconnected.
Reinsert the battery and reconnect the power adapter, and then try to turn on the laptop.

Let me know how it works for you, and if it solves the problem.

    Thank you

This is a technical director of the machine therefore no available records. Please get the part number on the battery and the HP Store or stores order online like Amazon, eBay...

  • The mouse driver and Touchpad Driver for Dell Studio laptop will not work with Vista

I just bought a Dell Studio laptop at new years 2009 with the Vista platform.   I had nagging problems with the mouse driver and the touchpad pointer that were completely related software.  These questions were returning back over the months and months.   I've owned about 10 PCs since 1989 and I've never had a bad result like this.   My wife and I have lost 20 to 30 hours of our time looking after him.   This could have the Vista operating platform?   I suffered so much that I made my decision to seriously consider the range of Apple computers.   At this point, I lay the responsibility for the drivers who did not also work on Microsoft and Dell.  20 - 30 hours can go a long way in learning the OS from Apple.    I am a professional project management and professional engineer and can't believe that something as basic as the mouse driver and the driver of the Touchpad was a goner at the launch of the computer screwup.   I guess that the validation of test have been ignored.  I have never been madder with any computer I've owned.  I learned a lesson from this.   Do not trust Dell or Microsoft in the manufacture of new products.  As far as I know Apple users don't get treated this way.

Sorry, but I really cannot speculate more what happens - or go - with your computer without being able to see the machine. It's the first time, you mentioned a bluetooth mouse and that you have installed the drivers three times. Certainly a bad image would not apply in this case. There are probably other things that pass only someone actually looking at the machine would be able to discern.

However, since this is a new laptop and you are unhappy with it, return it under warranty and buy something else. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to help you. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • 90W power supply for computer notebook 120w

    Hello

I bought a car from Targus (APD046EU) charger to power my laptop HP Pavilion (dv6-6166se).  Unpack the charger, I conclude that it is rated for 90w supply and I think that the laptop requires 120w.  Targus just say incompatible, but I wonder what would happen if I try... a slow charge?  free of charge?  Fried electrics?  Any ideas please?

    Cjongrey.

With the help of an adapter that is rated at least can be a problem.

    Just for charging is OK.

But when you use this AC in working conditions, it can be a problem.

Adapter to work and could become hot and possible off short.

    I hope this helps.

  • The upgrade of the power supply for a HP Pavilion 500-054

    Hey people,

I'm changing the 500-054 flag so that it can play a few games, not a hardcore gamer, just want to be able to play the occasional game. I want to get a lower end external video card, but this requires a power supply greater than 300. I am looking for a new power supply for my computer, but I couldn't find one for the 500-074. Are the ones that will work for my computer or I am a hopeless case?

    Thank you

A standard ATX power supply will work. Please look at the Corsair CX430, CX500, CX600, or their variations of modular cables for your needs.

  • HP 8200 elite CMT: can I use an external power supply for AMD Radeon HD graphics card 7770?

I have HP 8200 elite CMT CPU in which 320 watts PSU is installed. I want to use AMD Radeon HD 7770 requiring more power (minimum 400 watts power supply) for maximum performance. But the fact is, the higher Watt PSU is not available for my cpu because its cables do not match that. So I ask if I can use the external power supply to power my GPU instead of the CPU power. Will be this harm to my PC?

Kindly help me to solve this problem.

    Thank you

Thank you for the information, @haseebkhan7310.

I'm not a fan of using a separate power supply to power a video card.  It can cause problems.  However, here is a video that will show you how it can be done:

  • Replacement power supply for Satellite Pro 6100

I just got the power supply of my old SP6000 (PA2450U) die on me and I wanted to know if I should replace it with the same model or another one as I used it on my SP6100. I discovered that the PA2450U give only 45W of power (now I notice!)

Info for the SP6100 page says that the power supply be 75W and I can't find the model number.

Someone can tell me if it is OK or not?

    TIA

    Hello

You always have to use the supported adapters. The use of different adapters can damage the laptop.
But I agree with Stefan. The adapter compatible and recommended is PA3083U-1ACA
This part you can also order from the service partner.

  • I need power supply for HP Z220 CMT workstation up to 500 watt

HI everyone I want to improve my diet is 400 watt, this does not work with my new graphics card, it's Asus GTX 770 Nvidia GeForce DirectCU II OC 2 GB GDDR5 he needs a minimum of 500 watts...
Thank you very much for everything give me it please link or model power supply for hp workstation z220 up to 400 watt.

    Hello:

Power supply in the z220 belong to someone, which means that you can not install any other food but the 400W provided by HP.

You can also ask your question on the HP Business Support Forum - z section of jobs to see if anyone knows if one different PSU from another series of z that Workstation will work for your model.

    http://h30499.www3.HP.com/T5/workstations-z-series-XW-series/BD-p/BSC-272#.U5nJ2f1OXGg

For example the z600 has a 650W power supply, but I have no idea if this P/S will work in the z220.

Perhaps someone on this forum will have some alternatives for you, but don't get your hopes up.

  • Power supply for use in the UNITED Arab Emirates

    Hello

I just bought a Time Capsule of the airport and an Apple TV (4th gen).  I'm moving to Dubai for work and I intend to take with me.  I can't find out how to replace the power supply for use in Dubai (plug type G).

    • Can I just buy a travel voltage converter?
    • What is the frequency difference (US is 60 Hz and UNITED Arab Emirates is of 50 Hz)?
    • Could I just buy a 'EnergyPal travel Charging Station ETCS04' and connect directly?

    Thanks for any help!

The airport Time Capsule and the Apple TV work on 100-240 Volts and 50/60 Hz automatically, so they'll work pretty much anywhere in the world if you have the map of the right ankle.  A voltage converter is NOT necessary.

You can buy the cards you need to any store from the airport, luggage, in Dubai store, etc., most of the hotels the.  If I remember correctly, Dubai uses the same type of plug that she used in the United Kingdom, as well as should work as well.

    http://www.Amazon.com/Ceptics-grounded-Universal-Plug-adapter/DP/B0080R95XI/ref= sr_1_1? ie = UTF8 & qid = 1455557366 & sr = 8-1 & key...

I do not think that the higher 5 GHz channels are permitted in Dubai, so be sure to put the time Capsule to use a lower numbered GHz 5 channel... 36, 40, 44 or 48.

The reason I'm on this forum is when I called hp support and gave me a stupid answer of not being able to change the PSU because of software...

Well well, the reason why I'm spending power supply is because I bought a new video card and he needs about 500watts and my current power supply is 300watts and I was wondering if I can change it. The video card I bought requires also [2] PCI-E 6-pin

It's a high-end desktop PC.  No doubt he will come with an ATX PSU with 5VDC, 12VDC and 3.3Vdc output rails.  I'm not familiar with the Interior of your PC, so I'll give you two General configurations of PSU layout.

    1. design intermediary such as PC Power & Cooling with one or two 80 mm fans to expel air through the PSU.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817341011

2 down-draft design as Cosair 450VX with a 120 mm or more huge blowing fan case in the heat sink and the motherboard of the PSU.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139003

If the power supply is at the top, back or side of the PC, then a power supply down-project will do a better job to remove heat from the PC.  If the power supply is in the middle of the PC, then go with an intermediate design.  This design will generate more noise at higher load, since the smallest fan should turn more quickly to transport the same amount of air in a 150 mm or 120 mm fan.

Looking for a nominal 80% efficiency POWER supply.  Detachable power cable is a bonus to maximize the air flow inside the PC.  Make sure the power supply is delivered with the right type of power connector to drive you GPU.  All modern units of quality with 20 + 4 and 4 + 4 key cards.  If you do not plan to run graphic dual with a high range GPU, so it doesn't matter what quality 80 watter 380 power SUPPLY Antec, Corsair, Enermax and Seasonic PSU will be enough.  You will need to back up POWER supply to 450-550W, if you run two graphics cards high-end.

A good 450W PSU is a good compromise because it is more effective when the PC is idle and has enough power to run two GPUS.  If you want to save $ on electricity, then get a smaller power supply (range 300-350W) because these units reach the level of efficiency of 80% around release of 65 to 70 watts.
