HP g60

I have a hp g60 (do not know what model since I was small and ripped off the stickers). And every time I try to turn it on it loads then blue screen or a Microsoft loading screen. He never to start a couple of rehearsals, I tried to put a Linux did not work and various other things. My computers tend to be really weird and it could not just be reset. I accidentally reset and it broke. I was small and installed lots of stuff tried to install a lot of games but I don't know anything. Its pretty bad place after 3 years screen dark squiggles as broken screen. And keys are missing, but if I could make it work I could update it and make it a portable secondary. So to sum it up it gets a blue screen will load any or repeats. And when I put the discs (32-bit dell, Linux, windows vista), they do not work (pc is 64-bit or vista windows exp not course) answer if you need images.

Hi AMDElaptop,

As indicated by the term "check disk", it checks the integrity of the hard disk or hard drive.  If the test failed, your hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced.

Here is a link to Compaq Presario CQ60 Notebook PC HP G60 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service of Guide. Please note page 27 20 to get the list of recommended replacement hard drives.

Good luck!

  • upgrade processor G60

Hello I have a laptop G60-530US older and who plan to make the updates with the CPU. I have a few sitting around and want to use something other than the T4300.

I called HP several times and got the "Please hold while I direct your call", then take a cut.

All I want is the compatibility list CPU so I can see what I have and see if I can install it. I know it's an Intel Socket P, so it can be replaced. I've updated the BIOS F.65.

The system runs Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit with 8 GB of RAM plans

I have about 12-20 Socket P processors laying around, ranging from T6 *, * T7, T8 *, to T9 *. So all I need to know is what is the maximum supported CPU?

If I am changing it might as well bring the best in is what I say!

Or just the support list so I can install the right one in my collection.

  • G60-230US == > does not connect to the wireless network

    Greetings...

I got my new laptop a G60-230US with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 yesterday... I was so excited. I quickly put in place and the network manager. He finds my home network (a router we Robotics MaxG 5641), had the exceptional signal strength, I have provided the password. It didn't connect to the network. I have 3 other devices without any problem. Then I disabled the firewall, antivirus etc. on the computer, I've disabled the security on the router and tried... Still no luck. I called the help desk yesterday evening, and a clueless CSR tried to 'Help me' After I turn the router, computer, WIFI (everything that I had already tried), she suggested that I should contact my ISP and get a new password. I explained to him that the password has been created by me for my own US Robotics router and ISP had nothing to with her... She just kept saying the same thing... and I politely thanked her and hung up at midnight...

This morning, I tried something else. I tried ipconfig / all and I don't have any useful info, except that it says "Device off" I tried ipconfig/release and he told me that the action must be raised. I am the administrator on this computer.

U.S. Robotics indicates that this default router should work for Vista, because a router is independent of the operating system

    Any idea is extremely appreciated...

    Thank you!

    Shankar

  • HP G60 laptop boots HP logo, and then recycles - Windows 7

I just installed a new keyboard on my laptop G60 running Windows 7 Enterprise Edition. before putting the screws in the battery compartment area, I replaced the battery and turned on my laptop unpluggced to see if the new keyboard work. Everything worked perfectly.

So I closed the lid of my laptop, removed the battery, put the screws, replace the battery and press the power button, now my laptop boots as much as the HP logo, with the option to press ESC to the Start Menu, then the screen goes black and travels to the HP logo. This cycles goes and indefinitely. I am able to access the Start Menu. I removed the new keyboard and tried to start it again - same thing. I then tried using my old keyboard to see if that makes a difference - no change.

    Any advice? Thank you.

Hi - I tried that after I posted this question, and it turned out to be a previously installed update that was causing the problem. I had to restore my system to a previous date before the update was installed, and this has solved the problem. Thank you!

  • Can I make my HP G60 running Windows 7 64 bit?

Currently, my system has 3 GB of RAM that I know can not support 64 bit and I need at least 4 GB but is there something I can replace (as perhaps the card mother?) to make it work? I have some knowledge about the things of this question, but I hear people say that such things are not possible, but then there are people who say it's possible. I really appreciate any help, thank you!

You have it backwards. You don't need 4 GB of RAM to run 64-bit Windows; you need 64-bit Windows support more than 3 GB of RAM. We would need to know the exact model, but as far I know most if not all G60s will run 64-bit Windows. All that is needed is a 64-bit processor. If the computer has a 64-bit processor, it obviously has a card mother and chipset supporting a 64-bit processor. All AMD Turion x 2 processors are 64-bit, for example. Even some Semprons and Celeron 64-bit processors. You can install Windows 64 bit on 2 GB of RAM, as long as the processor supports. There is no reason to do so, but it can be done.

  • Laptop HP G60 on Win 7?

    Hello.

I just scrolled support to see if a HP G60 located on Win Vitsa can get Win 7 installed.

But I found a sublist for this model. I have not yet bought this laptop and I really don't like Vista

so need to know if this model can have the chipset drivers ect for Win 7?

I was able to install Win 7 right now or need to tweek it with drivers downloaded on the lap top after instalation or a disc?

    Any help would be appreciated...

    Mike.

    Hi Mike,.

I would like to be certain that a g60 would be able to run Windows 7 - about all that ran Vista would go to Windows 7.

The only reason why it can be useful an e-mail to find the model or product number would be to get some of the specific hardware drivers.

If you install Windows 7 (especially if the media including SP1), you'll probably find that almost all the required drivers are installed automatically.

The drivers are usually missed (as appropriate to the model) are for the card reader, ENE CIR driver and HP 3D DriveGuard fingerprint reader.

  • Need to recover the laptop HP G60

Trying to recover a laptop.  I know that the disc is good that I pulled and plugged into a USB device and scanned to get rid of malware that took out the boot sector.

I can start on a Win 7 (from MSDN) installation disc and I can boot to the BIOS menu.  F11 will not launch the Recovery Manager.

None of these options to repair Windows 7 does not detect the installation of the OS that is on the disk.  I can go to the operating system prompt in Win 7 repair and navigate to a directory of recovery under a directory of HP, but it cannot run in this way.

    It is out of warranty.

    Model: G60-535DX

    Series: {removed privacy}

    Product: VM085UA #ABA

OS should be Win 7 Home Premium x 64, but based on the HP support site.  Most likely it is correct information.

Other options to run the Recovery Manager?  It can be downloaded?

    Hello

There is a chance that you may be able to operate using the Windows 7 disc, you have, opening the command prompt and scoring D as Active Partition recovery - if it worked, the laptop boot from the partition when you restart.  Another explanation of this can is indicated under the heading "method 2" on the link below. • HP G60-630US: update CPU?

I tried to upgrade my CPU on my HP G60 630US laptop but it wouldn't start after I installed it. I went back to the original and it started back as usual.
My question is, the speed of the motherboard bus will support the CPU tried to use?

Original specifications: HP G60 630US laptop
    Motherboard 578232 # 001with Intel Pentium (1 MB of L2 cache) T4400, 2.2 - GHz processor / 800 Mhz
4 GB of DDR 2-800 Mhz Gskill ram
    HD 500GB Samsung SSD

    I tried to install a T9400 processor Intel Core2 Duo (6 MB L2 cache), 2.53 GHz / 1066 Mhz processor
because it is based on a technical manual, I've read, this is one of the options for this laptop model processor.
So unless I read the wrong manual, what am I doing wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I think it has something to do with the motherboard only supports 800 Mhz bus speed... ?

Thank you to who ever can help sheds light on this mystery!

You are on the right track. When you read the manual, you have to dig a little deeper. In this case, there are two different mothers, one for the GL40 chipset for the GM45 chipset. The GL40 is cheapie, defeatured motherboard without support of the advanced features of the Core 2 Duo as Speedstep processors. Your motherboard is a GL40, given that your processor is the Pentium of lower tier. Some users have reported success with a Core 2 Duo on motherboards GL40 but they run never quite right.
