After you have cleaned the fan in the space of bksp entered arrow up and down keys not working anymore

replace the keyboard with the new keyboard same problem cleaned the wire to no keyboard connector always no results

Any ideas? Digitized as well on malware and viruses

  • My Acer Aspire V - 123 Windows 8 keeps freezing and some keys on the keyboard are not working

    I'm currently using a netbook ACER ASPIRE V - 123 with Windows 8 as its operating system and it is not yet updated to 8.1.

    At first when my computer laptop while boots 'seems' to agree, and whenever I try to open a file without any content it took me about 30-45 seconds, opening a program would take me almost 45 seconds to a minute, and I think that something is not right with my laptop and when I try to open a website via my web browser and my laptop would just FREEZE and I can't do anything about it , but I hate to do HARD reset. And to add to this unfortunate scenario is that some of the keys on my keyboard are not working the letters like R, T, I, O and backspace and many others (which I don't remember exactly one by one).

    I try to read some forums on different sites and some posts to the community of MS and did several tests like starting in SAFE MODE w / NETWORKING and downloaded the software like MALWAREBYTES to find potential infections, but nothing found. I also did the start-up in MINIMAL MODE, but again, the situation was the same, but when I'm the boot without failure the filling and freezing are only decrease and I don't want always starts in mode safe.

    From now my laptop is booting in a start-up in MINIMAL MODE and I don't know what to do next, what to try next. I hope someone could lead me to the solution to this problem, I would be eternally GRATEFUL.

    Please do help me in a step by step process and if possible please guide me with pictures or screenshots because I prefer to learn things when I Visual effects on what to do.

    Sorry for the late reply, the laptop has been fixed, it seems to be a hardware problem. We disconnected the connection of the keyboard to the laptop right now I use an external keyboard to type. Cannot afford now to buy and replace my laptop keyboard, the graphics card Driver has been updated also and I've reformatted the OS

    The gel did not appear more in the normal boot and if all goes well for work this way for good.

    Well, it can happen that some keys stop working after several months and you can't do anything.

    You must contact the authorized service provider for a new keyboard because some individual keys can be exchanged, only the entire keyboard.
    Your laptop is only 6 months old, and then the repair is covered under warranty. :)

    I have the keyboard that came with the HP Pavilion a6500f Desktop that my brother gave to me.   It is a multimedia keyboard HP S/N CA74914073.  It's a good thing that I had an old Gateway keyboard sitting around, because April 20 suddenly the key SUPPR and the digital line of keys does not work.  All other keys seem to work very well, but I really need these keys and the delete key.  Can someone tell me how to fix this or where to find another one of my original keyboard?

    Since the PC is six years old, the acquisition of original keyboard would be quite difficult.

    You can buy a logitech or a different brand keyboard that works very well.

    all of a sudden the following keys on my Tecra A7 do not work:

    8 9 I have o k l and the down and right arrows.

    The first 8 are in a straight line down. Now using a USB external keyboard, but that does not in my bag when visiting customers.

    Hello Mark,

    your problem may be something simple (the connector on your keyboard should be reinstalled, because she came off), or in the worst cases, the film of connection had broken (cut) and does not allow signals to be transmitted to the motherboard. If you are still under warranty, you should prefer consulting Toshiba for a quote, rather than attempt to fix this yourself.

    If you feel confident to do it yourself, lift the plastic above the keyboard cover and remove the two screws that secure the keyboard (the screws are hidden under the plastic cover). Then you can reinstall connector 'films as' in its place.

    Looks like your keyobard is defective and must be replaced :(

    Contact the nearest ASP that you can find on the Toshiba site. They can order and swap the keyboard for you.

  • Some keys on the keyboard do not work in IDCS4

    I just upgraded from InDesign CS3 to CS4 (yesterday) and the Enter key and the arrow keys do not work in any document. Restarting does not solve the problem and I do not work on a converted file. I can click in a text box and delete words (with the delete key) but I can't move around with the arrow keys and I can't hit enter. Besides, when I click on a text box with the tool Selection and press the delete key to remove it (as I have done millions of times in CS3) nothing happens.

    Recently I'm impossible to insert the exclamation mark (SHIFT + 1) on all programs. I know there is no problem with keys like shift key works and the number 1 button also works. But when I press these two keys in combination that I get nothing (just tried to put an exclamation mark here without result).

    This problem happened with HP Win 10 laptop my father as well. Suddenly the majority (nearly half of his keys) has stopped working and it uses an external keyboard for 2 months (once more tried to put an exclamation mark here without result).

    Really disappointed because it clearly seems to be a problem of HP after what is happening to my and my dad HP laptop computers only.

    Can someone shed light on this you problem. Thank you.

    Good I manaeged to find the problem, I got an AHK script interefered with that somehow. So I removed it and it works.

    Try Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.

    A way of solving problems, which disables most of the modules.

    Hi, I'm new here. Sorry if this post has been used or solved again

    I have a * Toshiba Satelite C50 - A - 156 *. After the 8.1 window auto updated my keyboard are not working properly. For examlple some letter-key works such as * 'A', 'z' * and the rest to * ' or 'K' * work not at all even backspace and caps lock.

    Is there a way to solve the problem as the download of the driver or recoevery although I don't want to reinstall all my other files/software again. It's a little annoying because I need to always click-type to help on the screen - keyboard. :_|

    I don't think that a single Win 8.1 update would affect single keyboard buttons.
    It doesn't make any since to me
    That's why I m not quite sure if it s really a software problem.

    You have an external USB keyboard? You can test it in your laptop?
    The fact is that if this USB keyboard would work properly, software is not the problem but the internal keyboard could be the troublemaker.

    I think you should test this before you try to reinstall the system
