HP G62 freezing at the windows startup screen

Hi, recently my laptop kept freezing randomly, but now it will not even past "starting windows" when I load up. I ran the two hard drive and who both have memory tests. Also tried everything on the menu after pressing f10 and f8, including safe mode, but all the options keep freezng at windows startup or stops at a black screen and only being able to move the mouse. Any help would be greatly appreciated that the laptop is relatively new. Thank you.

It's time to find your set of recovery disks or usb recovery media that you created when you set up your laptop.

If you have not created a set, you have the choice of where to get a set of recovery disks. The cost is usually about $30,00 USD

Order a HP recovery disk
from an HP partner

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP for a warranty replacement drive. Refer to the troubleshooting forum and give the representative of I.D. failure HP support: Q4QG9R-54T6LD-9XL03G-60QM03d if requested.

If it is in warranty, just buy a replacement and remove the original disc and put the new in its place.  Insert the first diskette in recovery agree for the warning to commit to a recovery and image selection recovery plant.

You can also use the Microsoft Windows COA 25 character license key and install Windows 7 from a usb\dvd Installer. The usb Installer is highly recommended.  You can download an iso file for your operating system here.

Please don t get me wrong, but I think you're on the wrong track.
(Graphics card, LAN, etc.) device drivers must be installed in the currently running system (i.e: Windows OS, etc.)

I m sure; pilot isn t the problem if nothing is visible on the screen.

First of all, I would recommend you to connect the laptop to an external monitor/screen just to see if something would be visible on the screen 2.

But just a question: have you tried to start Notepad using a boot disk (windows installation disc, the disc recovery Toshiba or similar?).
Maybe the Windows system is confusing upward and therefore, you are not able to start the system? In my opinion, you should test this option.

  • PC keeps restarting after the Windows startup screen

I recently bought a refurbished HP compaq 6005 microtour office format. The computer came with a blank hard drive with no OS loaded on this subject. Before this purchase, I owned a laptop with a Samsung EVO 850 250 GB SSD inside which has Windows 7 installed and worked fine until the motherboard went bad on it. I removed the SSD that laptop and installed in the new office refurbished. The computer starts up and reaches the HP invent display shows options key function and says "press any key to Option ROM Messages." and then after a few seconds goes to "starting Windows" screen and after a few seconds it goes back to the same HP invent screen.

    I tried the things:

The hard drive is detected by a name in BIOS

Made sure boot order has been on hard drive, first

Tried to start Windows in Mode safe mode, last known good configuration and disable automatic restart in the event of system failure

When I disabled automatic restart in the event of system failure I got a blue screen that says, "a problem has been detected and windows was forced to need down to avoid any damage to your computer...". ""Search for viruses on your computer. " Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to ensure that it is properly configured and completed. ... "CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

    Hello David,.

According to your description, I realize you are trying to install a Portable SSD hard drive in a desktop computer that has Windows 7 installed on it.

First of all I would say you do not to do since both hard drives have different specifications, and this can adversely affect your computer. I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of your computer before this change of material.

On Windows, it is not recommended to mix computers with different operating system installed on a hard drive specifications. I would say to reinstall the full operating system such that two computers use different Hardware.

Hope this information helps. If you need more assistance or information on this question, reply to this post. I'll be happy to help you.

  • Reinstall Windows 7 Pro on new 2 TB HDD freezes on Windows startup screen

My 160 GB hard drive crashed and I am trying to install Windows 7 Pro from the installation disc that came with my computer on my new hard drive 2 TB.  I read the posts that took even freeze on Windows startup screen and I disconnected all devices and devices except the mouse and keyboard.  I don't have 2 GB of memory simms, 8 GB installed, but has released simm all but one.  I tried to reinstall Windows 7 Professional several times and whenever it crosses the screen of facilities, then when the computer restarts it freezes at the Windows startup screen.  Help!

    Evelyn,

    (1) I have an idea which may simply not work. Install the software of Western Digital's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics.

    (2) then select / click on the Seagate 2 TB of disk.

    (3) then click on the little icon above the list of player who scored "click to run tests.

    (4) in the popup windows choose the option "write zeros". Click 'Start' and select the fastest two write options who writes zero for beginners / before the command and at the end / last sectors on the disk. It will take about 2 minutes or less. Once the zero finished writing your drive will be in a State of 'Raw' (just as if you removed from the box for the first time).

    (5) open "Disk management", you should see a windows asking you to 'Initialize' the reader. Choose the MBR (Master Boot Record "option.

  • Laptop freezes on Windows startup screen (start)

Freezes my laptop Envy15-3000 starting up.  It makes only to the Windows startup screen and then icons Microsoft stop moving.  This has happened since Tuesday (8/12).  I ran checks and the memory and hard drive (quick and full) test came back positive - i.e. without problems.  I finally decided to reformat yesterday (8/14).  He gets throughout the process of reformating until he wants to start the system for the "first time" (I guess this will be the last time it restarts in the recovery process) and always freezes on Windows startup screen.  If I try to hard cock off and try any other start up option I can think (Safe Mode, etc.), it says failed to retrieve and asks me to try again, get the details or Save Log.  When I try again, it goes back to freezing.  Therefore, I am now in an endless loop of another attempt of the retrieve to access the windows screen start freezing.

All I want to do is wipe the hard drive and reload everything.  I'm not interested to recover the old data I backed everything up.  I have had no error messages on my sleeve it, memory, tests etc, so I'm at a loss on how to proceed.  Help, please!  Thank you.

PS: I have the original 7 provided with the system recovery/windows DVD player.

    Hello

Assuming that it's just a problem with the recovery media, here's another solution, you can try.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the Disk Image correct ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software offerings when you install ImgBurn) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

All pilots additional and software that you may need are entering either the No. fullModel. or your notebook product number here.

    Kind regards

If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • Satellite A100-049 stops loading at the Windows loading screen

  • Stuck in the Windows Startup logo

Hi I have a problem in my laptop, my OS is Windows 7 Home Basic. I'm stuck in the Windows Startup logo (that has a black background), I'm stuck more then an hour ago and the home screen do not appear. I tried to boot up my laptop in safe mode, but I'm stuck also. I tried to format my C drive and reinstall windows 7 but I'm stuck when the starting configuration are the cursor of the mouse is just turning, I waited over an hour and nothing happens.

Can someone help me, I want to format my whole HARD drive and have a clean install of windows 7. 7.

    Hello

How you try to install the OS? You use Windows 7 DVD, or you are trying to install from the hard drive?

The Partition 1, which is the system partition, the files to start the operating system. For more information on the system partition, you can check the below link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows/what-are-system-boot-partitions#1TC=Windows-7

4 the Partition, which is the recovery Partition, is the one which contans the image of the operating system, provided by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). More likely you would not have received installation media with the system and recovery partition conatins the image of the operating system, you can use if you want to reinstall the operating system.

If you do not have the installation media and you have not created an either, it's only the recovery partition you can reinstall the operating system.

  • How can I change or modify the windows logon screen?

I want to change the image and the sound at startup of windows

    Hi, Germain,.

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description, it seems that you wish to change or modify the Windows logon screen and also, you want to change the sound of the system. I will help you in this problem.

For the opening of window screen:

Change the logon screen background is not supported by default in Windows 7. You will need to consult a 3rd party program.

    Note:

With the help of third-party software or a link, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third party software or link can be resolved. Using third-party software or a link is at your own risk.

    For the Windows startup sound:

I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

    (a) click Start, select Control Panel, sounds and click on tab "sounds".

From there, you can select the individual and change them in the drop-down list of the default sounds provided by Windows. If you want your own sound select it using Browse. Remember that it should be in format WAV for Windows to run. After you click apply and Ok.

I hope it helps. If you have any questions about Windows in the future, please let us know. We will be happy to help you.
