  • Problems printing from laptop to wireless network

I've had problems for months now print wirelessly from my laptop to my printer. I use a HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium, and my laptop is a Lenovo. When I click on print a document, I get a warning on my laptop that the driver for the printer is offline. I tried to restart my laptop, disconnect and reconnect to the internet, restarting printer, disconnect and reconnect it to the internet, uninstalling and reinstalling the printer (using the existing driver and replace). Sometimes one of these 'corrections' works, other times not. Tonight I tried to restart the two, reconnect the two and then uninstalled and am trying to reinstall it but my laptop cannot find the printer to install it.

I am at a total loss. I work from home, sometimes and I bought a wireless printer for the convenience that he cannot stand on my desk next to my laptop to connect to the computer. (Also don't know what happened to the cord for the printer on the laptop, presumingI got with the printer.)

Both devices say they are connected to the internet. I can test my laptop and the internet connection works fine, don't know how to test the connection of the printer, but it says connected and has an IP etc.

I also tried disconnecting everything but the computer laptop and wireless network printer, and it won't always connect to print.

Can anyone offer any fixes? This becomes incredibly frustrating when I sit down to work and fight with the printer for hours.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello KitchenTalesand welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have connectivity problems.  I would like to help.

I recommend you to perform a power reset. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

Once the reset is complete, I recommend you to unplug your router for 60 seconds, and reconnect power.

After the restart appropriate time, I would recommend using this document on troubleshooting wireless printing Center.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • I try to connect my Acer Vista laptop for HP Officejet 7310 printer using a wireless connection.

I try to connect my Acer Vista laptop for HP Officejet 7310 printer using a wireless connection.  The printer is connected to a Dell XPS running Windows 7.  Is there a way to do this?

    Hello

Printers use a built-in wireless card and plug it into a power source, not your network or computer. After turning on the printer, you must refer to the documentation that came with the printer to set up a wireless connection for each computer.

I suggest you to download and install drivers from the link below

  • Problems of connectivity/Firewall with my laptop for my Netgear Push2TV HD (2000)

Help, please!  I can no longer connect my laptop Dell (Windows 7, Core i3) to my Netgear Push2TV HD (2000) to my TV without turning off my McAfee Firewall.

The wireless network connection that Windows has assigned to this device is called "wireless connection network 2" and is a "unidentified network" which is also called a "Microsoft Virutal WiFi Miniport Adapter."  The main "Wireless Network Connection" is that Intel uses to connect to my router.

When I click the "Intel WiDi" program to find and connect to the Netgear box, I am able to find the right adapter Netgear (even when the firewall is turned on), but when I try to connect (with the firewall on) it does not allow me to connect.  Again, if I turn off the firewall, I am able to connect (I can even turn off the firewall on once I am connected... and I don't lose my connection.  "But once I close the program WiDi, I can't connect the Netgear box without disabling the firewall).  But I really want to avoid this step, every time I'm trying to use the device.

Using Windows troubleshooting utility, I am informed of two problems that, if fixed, can be part of the solution (but I'm too inexperienced to understand):

    (1) "DHCP is not enabled for"Wireless Network Connection 2' "; and

    (2) "wireless Network Connection 2 is not a valid IP configuration."

I don't know if these problems are in fact THE problem that I need to worry.  My guess is that there is a simple solution within the McAfee Firewall program to allow me to make this connection, but I'm not able to discern what is perhaps this difficulty.  I'm going to this for several hours now.  Any help would be a blessing.  Thank you.

    Hello

    (1) did you check the State of the wireless autoconfiguration WLAN service in the services window?
    2. do you have any security software installed on the computer?
    3. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    Method 1:

We will first try to manually start the wireless service, i.e. the WLAN AutoConfig service. To do this, connect to the computer as an administrator.
    1. Click Start, type services.msc and press to enter.
    2. Locate the autoconfiguration WLAN service, double-click to open its properties window.
    3. on the general tab, change the startup type to automatic and click on the Start button.
    4. click on apply, then ok.

Try to connect to the wireless connection and check the result.

    Method 2:
If the service still does not start, run the System File Checker tool to scan the computer for the corrupt system files and automatically correct. To run System File Checker analysis, try the steps mentioned in this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 3:

  • DHCP is not enabled for wireless network

    Hi all

I have problems with internet connection and a large part of the time, that Network Diagnostics says Windows "DHCP is not enabled for wireless network", then it solves a problem, but I lose the connection several times a day, and each time that do the same fix again.

I checked the Device Manager settings and DHCP is started and set to automatic, I also ran CMD > ipconfig/all and can paste the results if need be.

I use a VPN and never had any prior issued connection with it and it seems to be just as hard to connect if the VPN is enabled or disabled.

Also recently I got the "security defender" virus which has been deleted successfully, the next day of the day it has been deleted, all network cards have messed up, I uninstalled and reinstalled them but that didn't work so I restored my system and that seems to fix the problem, my computer does not seem to run as fast after the virus as before so I wonder if it has an impact on my current problem.

I use a Toshiba Satellite Pro 660D and Windows 7.

  • Satellite Pro L450-13 q (PSLY1E) - XP driver for wireless network card

The system has Windows 7 pre-installed and has Windows 7 recovery DVD.
I searched online and found that some packages also include Windows XP Professional as a downgrade.

This was not included in my package, I received.

I managed to get most of the drivers for XP, including graphics and sound card.
But at the present time, I have not been able to locate the driver for the wireless card.

    Hi mate,

I think that you should look for the Toshiba WLAN drivers WLAN Portal:

Normally you will find all the drivers for wireless network cards in all laptops Toshiba so it s worth a try! ;)
Moreover, what WLAN card you have exactly?

  • Acer Aspire 5315 drivers for wireless network does not

This unit had top win7 and everything worked well. I reloaded Vista back and updated, all the drivers have shown as installed except for the wireless network, so I downloaded all the drivers of 3 of the website of Acer wireless network. Only the Atheros installed but still does not work, for the Atheros device ID is:
    PCI\VEN_168C & DEV_001C & SUBSYS_04281468 & REV_01

The wired network connection works fine, but with the wireless, the pc icon double in the tray system, but not with the 'flowers' shows as when I connect the wired ethernet cable. The difference between when win7 was on this unit is as well the wireless connection and the dvd that worked perfect but now after reloading Vista, the Wireless does not work and the dvd also does not show as well, I had to install codecs to show him all. It's not logical, why win7 would work to perfection and not the vista which was what this unit came with?

It's ok, I found the driver here:

    https://www.Atheros.cz/Atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=22&system=3
