HP impossible to scan - Scan question of privilege? -other working tools

Question:

Having confirmed that the printer/scanner is available and successfully launched a digitization using webscan (interface web, present during the INVESTIGATION period announced for the printer/scanner). I then try the same using HP Scan and the message

Scan reported an error: HP ENVY 110 series is currently unavailable. Please check if it is connected and turned on, or try again later.

Summary:

Scan worked and stopped working at some point in the past. I'm not clear what has changed, so it is a scratch survey 'from '.

  • I have re-installed HP Scan and configure access to the associated with the printer/scanner bonjour service. See the description of the above question.

Issues related to the:

  1. Are there log files, I can access to find additional details about the error?
  2. Are there controls of privilege or configurations of parameters / I'm absent for HP Scan have the required access?
  3. Can what additional steps I take to confirm the cause of the problem?

I can't say I have all the answers to your questions, but I have an idea as to what we can try to fix it!

I suggest to uninstall and reinstall the software. Please follow the instructions below to complete a more comprehensive uninstall than basic uninstall.

Scrub / uninstall

  • Open the Applications folder > folder HP or Hewlett Packard > Uninstall HP
  • Click continue, click on one of the printers in the list.
  • * Only perform this step if you have not all other HP printers.  Press and hold the Option, control and command, while now the three buttons.
  • Click Uninstall.

Reset the printing system

  1. Click on the Apple icon ( ), then click on System Preferences.

  • Reinstalled Dell printer, now impossible to scan, the message "printer cannot download applications available.

    I uninstalled my printer Dell because of printing problems (problem of subspooler and was unable to delete the document that was sent to print).  When I reinstalled the printer, I was able to print but when I try to scan to the computer, the printer is unable to download apps.  (I need to scan photos and documents from Adobe).  Obviously, outgoing communication to the printer is correct.  Any suggestions?

    Yes. PDF is fairly compact, as it is.

    PDF is a more universally acceptable PNG format. If you are willing to sacrifice the details, you can export it to JPEG.

  • HP Envy 5530 impossible to scan

    I have a HP Envy 5530.  It is connected to my laptop wireless. At first, I tried to use the programs installed on my laptop Lenovo scan... scanner not connected. Then, I downloaded the application for the 5530 scanner part.

    At this point, the scanner is recognized. When you try a scan... It starts and then has a status of "General failure."

    Then, I connected the printer to the computer with a cable... same result.

    If you can copy, run the printing and scanning doctor. Printing HP and doctor Scan is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly solve common printing, scanning and connectivity problems, including but not limited to:

    • Connectivity:

      USB: Check that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product works properly.

      Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working properly.

    • Device Status Test: checks the errors of the device, such as paper, paper jams, stands transport and paper issues and provides instructions to resolve the error.

    • Driver: checks the driver missing or corrupt files.

    • Device Manager: check the problems in Device Manager that could prevent printing.

    • Device online: check if the product has been suspended or put in offline and then sets the State back in line if necessary.

    • Print queue: checks and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a newspaper for printing waiting to print).

    • Port Match: check the port settings for the HP product.

    • Device conflicts: check the conflicts with other drivers, such as the other brands of printers.

    • Ink issues: check the cartridges and the ink levels for issues that affect the print quality.

    • Print settings: check and adjust the print quality settings.

    • Test print: print a test page for the assessment of the print quality and provides options for cleaning and if necessary print head alignment.

    • Scan tests: check the scanning mechanism, drivers, and registry entries.

    If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.

    • If you see only the Green checkmarks (), the tool did not find any problem.

    • If you see green sides (), the utility identified a problem and fix it automatically.

    • If you see yellow exclamation points (), the test failed and requires monitoring of the user, but the step was ignored.

    • If you see a red X (), follow the onscreen instructions to fix the problem.

  • HP Envy5530 series - HP64C25A: HP scanning and Capture does not work

    Recently my HP Scan application capture & has stopped working. So far the application worked perfectly. I tend to use it rarely, so the first cause can occur some time in the past weeks. The printer is connected to my laptop via a wifi connection & it prints perfectly.

    As part of my diagnosis, I deleted the application & loaded the last version from the store Windows. Unfortunately the application continues to refuse to do. When I try to run the application using the functionality of Capture of Documents - I get this error message "General failure."

    I tried to run HP Print & Scan Doctor (V4.9) to solve the problem of scanning. I note that this request when I try to run it seems not to complete his routine & may appear to 'work' for more than 20 minutes (I dropped & closed by using the Task Manager).

    I can use the scanner using the HP e - All in One Printer, but of course this will provide only a scan of a single page.

    Any help would be most warmly accepted.

    For the last few days I am facing problems of scan to e-mail function. It gives me an error - "failed to connect to Web Services. "Confirm access to the internet and try again. I checked access to internet, is turned off and turned back on, but everything is fine, except that scanning to e-mail still does not work.

    Welcome to the HP community!

    I understand that you have a problem with scanning to E-mail app on e-all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart 7520. I'd love to help you with this.

    Here are the steps I suggest to try everything first:

    Network Power Reset:

    We'll leave the router and unplug the power cable (NOTE: do not reset the router.), and then do the same with the printer and shut down the computer. After a minute, plug in the router, wait to fully turn on, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light become solid. Once the router and the printer are on, go ahead and re - turn on the computer. This will refresh the network connection.

    Restore the default settings of the network and reconnect:

    1. on the front panel of the printer, press your up wireless icon

    2. Select settings.

    3. Select restore default network settings.

    4 turn on your printer.

    5. once it is initialized to save, press the wireless icon again.

    6. Select settings.

    7. Select Wireless Assistant , and then follow the prompts to enter the details of your wireless network.

    8. try to activate the web services again.

    Configure a manual DNS for your printer:

    You mentioned that you have already tried defining a manual DNS for your printer, DNS that you used. If you have not already tried so, I suggest to use primary like DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as the secondary DNS.

    If your web services connected, even if scanning to email does not work, you may need to reset the web services on the device.

    NOTE: Reset web services clears the custom email ePrint you have configured on your printer. Please be aware that if you have a personalized email ePrint, after doing this, you will need to configure again and will not be able to use the same address.

    1. press the Web Services button on the front panel.
    2. tap on settings.
    3. pressremove web services"and confirm deletion.
    This will bring you to the homepage.
    4. press on the icon Web Services , once again on the printer and go through the installation process.

    5. once the web service has been activated again, try to configure your scan to E-mail

    When you have completed each step in the troubleshooting guide, I proposed:

    • Were there problems uninstall and reinstall the printer driver and software? If there are errors or problems, please describe them.
    • Disable your firewall there a difference at all?
    • You can scan using paint with out without the firewall running?
    • Did the job analysis around the work? What were the results when you tried them?
    • You can make copies of copies and color black and white?
    • You have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet, avoiding the power and surge bars?
    • How the printer is connected to your computer (WiFi, Ethernet, USB)?
    • Have you tried another connection?

    Whenever you have any questions, please post whatever one needs to re - create the rpoblem and test their ideas. In this case, which includes a package (spec and body) and all tables that package references. Simplify as much as possible... You can probably do it with 20 lines of code.

    Yes, but don't take my word for it. Try it and see.
    This assumes that package1 is created with the default AUTHID DEFINE.

    Please read this post then provide some details.  What operating system? Windows, you can change the default value by going into the directory devices and printers, click with the right button on the Officejet 6830, select Printing Preferences, and choose the desired default values, apply.

  • LasetJet Pro M475dn: Impossible to scan over the network after upgrade to El Capitan

    After that I upgraded to El Capitan I no longer use HP Scan or HP Easy Scan to scan the network more. I can print to the printer, but analysis always results in the page being pulled by the document feeder, but applications just to lock-up without the document showing. Everything worked fine on Yosemite.

    I found a workaround solution that once worked before after a update of Mac OS X (but had to change the name of file, much like the original file has disappeared). Just download the next file on HP (no matter that it is not for your printer; it's not mine either (OfficeJet Pro L7680) but it works).

    Disable SIP for this installation and when you run the installation program (do not know if you need to do, but I did anyway). To do this, the instructions are here:

    When you run the Setup program, make sure you hold the CTRL key when you right-click on it, then click Open in the menu.

    Run the Setup program. Be sure to select the HP scanning software and install it. When you get to the configuration of the printer, just skip this step (unless you are using the printer in question). The parser components are what you really want from the printer drivers are already in El Capitan, if you have a HP supported printer. The scanning software will have already installed to the moment you arrive at this screen.

    Install the HP Easy Scan on the App Store app (if you get the latest version of the software your front-end). You should be able to run the scanner and scans without restart. I don't know if it will work for everyone, but certainly, it worked for me and keep me until they find what went wrong in El Capitan to disable scanning and scanning capabilities.

    SIP turn on again so that your Mac is better protected. We should all work after that. After doing the above, I found that I was able to not only use the HP software, I was able to use Image Capture, preview, etc, to get images from the scanner. Your mileage may vary, but if all goes well it will work again for you all.

    I often send documents several pages by e-mail, and I can't seem to get all pages of the document 1 in 1 file with the C310a. I don't know if it's the printer or HP Solution Center software. I've used both the scan function on the printer and the HP Solution Center and I'm still not able to scan a document of several pages in a single file. Is it still possible more?

    I use Windows 7 64-bit.  I have to do with HP director on my pcs 2355 printer, by simply choosing the more option to check after each page.

    Currently, there is no comprehensive software features for 10.9.92. However, please take a look at this page for a workaround on the way to analyze. OS X v10.9 Mavericks: installing and using the printer on a Mac. Scroll to the frequently asked Questions (FAQ) and click on how to scan with the Apple software update driver.

    If you need the specific guide for your printer, please answer with product/model number of your printer. To find product/model number of your printer follow the instructions in this link. Find your model number of the HP product.
