HP laptop OMEN 15 J9K19UA: HP Omen Fan questions

A week ago I got a Windows 10 update and a few utilities HP, so I've updated everything and now the fans Act really strange. They go to their maximum speed and then slow way and then go all the way back to the top again, this repeats several times as long, I use the laptop. I checked for the current process and nothing seems out of the ordinary. I tried to play with the speed of the fan through the control of Omen, but appears not to be able to lower the fan speed.

So it turns out that it was the HP System Event Utility, I uninstalled and installed a legacy version and fixed it. I'm not sure what the update was, but he made sure I control is any more fans through the control of omen. Well, my computer still works very well, and I'm happy.

My new laptop 15-ab157nr of HP Pavilion fan has a moan that I don't remember having on my old laptop HP G62-340US.  It may be that I am just sensitive to noise on a new computer, but I was wondering if anyone else has this problem.

  • G7-2017us Pavilion: laptop computer is hot and the fan is noisy

I have windows 7. 64 bit. I noticed that the laptop gets very hot and the fan makes noise. Try to solve this problem I went the HPSA. It shows that I have no update necessary; However when I go to the HP site and I ask him to identify my system it shows a lot of updates pending. This is why I need help with 2 questions, one the heat generated and the second on the updates. I also checked, and it shows that I have the latest version of the Support Assistant. The updates are all from 2016 and 2 refer to the BIOS.

I'm not well informed on the issues, any help will be appreciated

The update of the BIOS F.26 is important because of security concerns. The change log States:

'Provides security improved for UEFI EDK2

HP strongly recommends transition immediately to this BIOS update. »

It will not hurt to delete the sp66805 folder. I suggested it because it confuses you with the process of downloading/installation asking you to replace it.

You could try to change of name, it will probably work.

  • Omen of HP 15: How to clean Hp Omen fans without disassembling the laptop?

The fans in my hp 15 omen have many dist burial. Im not sure if I should clean the fans with compressed air or by sucking the dust outside. I don't want to take it apart, because I can't do it without messing up the laptop. The fans are directly under the laptop. I have not cleaned since I was first, who a year ago. Any suggestions?

    oelsayed

What I use to clean my laptop is boxes of compressed air that you get in office supply stores.

With the fans running, spray the air on the blades - but a few inches apart.  In addition, if there are vents in the case, spray the air into those, as well.

    Good luck

If it is under warranty, you must have the HP support repair otherwise you will have to go to place like eBay and find a fan for your fan to replace. Fans for OMEN system can sometimes be noisy because they are made for requirements more demanding is the price to pay for such a system. Or you can watch online on how to replace the fan, then something like eBay to order the right fan and do you replace.

  • HP 17-w005na OMEN: keys stick on laptop Omen

Hi, I noticed that my new laptop key HP Omen stick on games, which means for example in doom when move my character will continue in this direction when I release the keys.  I thought it was the game itself, but it has now happened in several games such as Doom, Doom 3 and Ark.  This happens not all the time.  Looking around this seems to be a recurring problem with HP laptops.  Is there a fix because it restores a portable game useless if your in middle of a game and your WSAD keys suddenly go haywire.  I really hope that it is a software problem that can be fixed.  Help.

    Hello

The only option I see and that may be worth trying is to make sure that you are running the latest version of the bios ( F.09 Rev.A ) that she mentions "Improved offer keyboard behavior matches are played on the system."

    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp76501-77000/sp76810.CVA

You can check the version of the current bios of notebooks by holding down the fn key and pressing esc.

If you are running a previous revision, F.09 Rev.A can be found on the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp76501-77000/sp76810.exe

If you are already using this bios, or it is not correct the problem, my best advice would be to contact HP in this regard when the machine is still under warranty.

If you live in the United Kingdom, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook g7: how to fix a laptop overheating - step by step-clean Fan - HP Pavilion

Y at - it a video that can show me how to clean the fan

Here is the Manualof the G7.

Remove the top cover will give you full access to the CPU fan.

Remove just the keyboard could give you enough access to blow the fan.

Instructions to remove the top cover begin on page 61.

Don't forget that the laptop has cooling vents on the bottom which must always stay away. You should only run the laptop on a hard surface and not on a pillow, bed, etc...

There are also available laptop cooler carpet that have built in USB powered fans.

Before disassembling the laptop, you can try using a can of compressed air and blow into the intake/exhaust vents.

Not the laptop is built with a tight specs is not so easy to simply remove the fan. To access the fan requires a complete dissembly of the laptop to get to the fan.

  • Compaq computer laptop - 15-s104na: new purchase - without fan installed?

Recently bought a new Compaq Notebook - 15-s104na HP - UK.  Surprised to find out that it doesn't have a fan installed (there is the space on the one hand, but not installed).  Thus, it relies just on the cooling by convection.  System seems to be working (in cool climate of the UK), but this cannot be good for the reliability of the component?  Maintenance documentation refers to a fan.

    Any comments from HP?

You have a processor Trail Bay draws very low power, which is actually designed to be cooled passively. It should provide phenomenal battery life I think. 15 Compaq also comes with regular i3U and i5U processors that are low voltage but still need active cooling. If some models have the fan and some do not.

  • Satellite Pro L450-180 fan question - question

    Hello

    I recently bought this model

It works well, there is something strange with the cooling fan:
with win 7, using performance battery fan mode turns on every 2-3 minutes, runs for 10 second Athens, he died.
This happens even at low temperatures
heasink seems to work very well since cpu stress test does not exceed 53 degrees after 1 h.

After that, I worked on power profiles (even with toshiba advanced cooler option on the minimum)
with the help of power saving mode it works a bit slower but every 5 minutes... This seems quite often.

Is this normal with this model
I got l300 and wasn't working so frequently.

Pls me know if normal or not.

    THX and BR.
    Exonex

I agree with you on L300. Of my friends has this model laptop and we changed the method to the minimum level of cooling and cooling fan runs quiet and not so often. Unfortunately, more than that can be done.

Akuma is also right. Each laptop model has clean and different cooling system and to compare it with other models is not so relevant.
I recommend you to use the power plan balanced with the minimum level of cooling method. That's all I can say about it.

  • HP Pavilion g6-1200tx air winds (fan) questions

    laptop: HP Pavilion g6-1200TX

    Product number: QG468PA #ACJ

operating system: Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit

    Mr President

winds (fan) to air my laptop don't work properly and became quite noisy.

This has led to very poor game performance. Earlier (6 or 7 months ago) while playing games (NFS THE RUN), the fan worked with great speed and therefore keep the laptop in a cool and also giving pretty good framerate between (18-25).

But when I play now the fan remains completely rotate with very less speed and heat the laptop as radically. As a result the droped framerate (8-12). Even FULL HD videos run quite poorely.

I spend loads of time to update all components (BIOS, chipset graphic everything), but it does not solve this problem.

also, I restored my laptop and updated every thing, but again the rest of the question.

I thing I should have my fan cleaned or replaced.

Pls inform me of the cost for cleaning of the fan and also replacing the fan.

I bought my laptop on October 25, 2011. Noida, Delhi, India.

Top tips is organized labor & on a cloth soft to protect the laptop brands, have a tray to place parts on & spread screws in the order around parts so you will be sure to know where they're going, little pictures or marking things can help that can think twice rather than force things or be in a hurry.

static straps are not needed, don't forget to touch as little as possible on mainboard & be sure to not be rough with any delicate componts & everything will be fine... good luck...

  • HP G62 Notebook PC: HP G62 fan questions

    Hey there!

I am the owner of relatively satisfied a HP G62 laptop, which is between three and four years. I'm very happy with it, but the fan was strange for months and he has now got so bad that I decided to do something.

Whenever I turn it on after that have attributed to him cold for a few hours, it makes a noise very loudly, as if something is stuck or the fan is loose. Sometimes he hit work several times, but this approach of the Caveman to the problem is not a very durable solution. I tried it apart and clean the dust fan, but it's still very strong and it is preventing me to use the laptop to school and work situations.

Replacing the fan would solve this problem? And if yes, what should I buy and where I get it?

Thank you for reading this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
