HP: Laptop randomly stops when it hits 15%

He started only today. My laptop would randomly just turned off when the battery was low. When I checked the percentage it shows 15% when I turn on my laptop. I already checked power options, and everything is normal. I was wondering if anyone has solutions to this. In addition, I notice just that my phone would not charge from 90 percent. It would charge up to 90%. Thanks in advance.

This could be a hardware problem with the battery and we need to insulate it properly. In the meantime, please try a hard reset first. Steps to follow:

  • Turn off the computer and unplug the charger. Then remove the battery only if it is removable.
  • Press and hold the power button on the unit for 15 seconds to carry out the static electrical charges inside the machine.

  • MacBook Pro has started to randomly stop when it is on battery since the upgrade to El Capitan

I have a MacBook Pro (15 inch, early 2011) which works very well on the Mountain Lion for a long time. I finally got round to upgrading to El Capitan last week: directly to 10.11.6. A few days later he just powered down without warning while I was working. He was so very well for a few days, but then made several times in the last 48 hours.

I am moderately sure it happens only when it is on battery (it did not in the past hours 8 while that plugged). Whenever it happens, that there is no warning and the Mac then fine restarts (manually) - Although the clock resets always in 1970 until he can contact an NTP server. One of the curious side effects is that my PostScript fonts were blank on the screen in Excel for a few reboots yesterday but then OK once again!

No hardware has changed. Major software change is only El Capitan and possibly an iStat Menus update.

I have reset PRAM and SMC. I ran the short AHT. I disassembled the machine and clean the fans. they were OK, but the problem seems to occur when the Mac is hot.

Spotlight and Time Machine sometimes seemed to be struggling for the upgrade, and I also saw rpcsvchost with 100% of a core for a while. The machine feels sometimes slow - but for the last 8 hours, it was very good. The only model that I put in place, is that it seems to occur only on battery; It's even happened then that the Dock (etc.) were loading after logging in after an unexpected shutdown.

The other thing common is in the newspapers every time:

    Cause of previous stop:-128

I scanned a number of related posts to aspects of it, but do not look at who blames El Capitan rather than material. Yet, many people reported this kind of problem after the upgrade... Coincidence?

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Cause of previous stop:-128

A negative stop code generally indicates a hardware failure. Have the Apple to assess your Mac. The fix may be as simple as a spare battery.

When I run certain Adobe programs like photoshop (illustrator and indesign works fine however) and competitor Autodesks Revit, software Archicad and Artlantis 3D works great. My Pavilion m6-1040eo turns suddenly, the screen becomes dark powerbutton glowing stops and the death warrant of fans.

He didn't is not a problem of heat in this case the program would begin normally, the fans run hot and no warning of the BIOS when I start the computer again.

It seems "/ 3 gb switch" was the culprit. Follow the instructions on the site Revit on how to turn it off.

    Hi all

I contacted the community because my new Sanyo battery would be suddunly and turn off at random, causing of course my Thinkpad X 201 to close.

Here's what I found: aft uf the battery, there is a slide button to lock it once you insert it into the battery tray.

On battery 6cells, simply insert, yo hear a click, and the battery is locked.

On the battery 9 cells (at least on the shot I bought) the sliding button must be moved manually to the "Locked" position If you don't move it, the PC starts normally, but stops abruptly after 10, 30 or 50 min, come anytime.

Problem solved. I hope this can help!

  • Music player randomly stops

When you use the music player, since the 1.3.1 update the app suddenly stops working. I have to leave the app, then open again to get the music going again.

    All solutions?

    Finally figured this out.

If you are in iTunes and sort your music by genre (it's in the display options)

You will see that your music player randomly stops when it reaches the protected music files.

You need to convert them into MP3 or AAC normal files that are not protected (usually burn to CD and re - rip with iTunes).

Once all your files without DRM and the music player will not work correctly.

MY VAIO LAPTOP(VGN-CR353) RANDOMLY STOPS AND TAKES MORE TIME TO START. SOMETIMES IT STOP WHEN STARTING

It seems that the laptop may be overheating.  Are you sure there is enough air past for laptop?  Make sure that it is on a flat surface, with nothing to obstruct the ventilation openings.  Make sure that the vents and fans and heat sinks are free from dust - examine their blowing with compressed air (power of the system first, of course).  Depending on the laptop model, it may be relatively easy to blow off the dust with compressed air, or otherwise clean up things a bit.   Fans should be kept up well - only no right turn when being ripped off.  My Dell laptop has a removable fan (two small screws need to be removed) that can easily be blown.  This also allows access to the fins of the heatsink.

Some laptops also have a removable filter that traps the dust and must be regularly inspected and cleaned.

Are all the BIOS settings for the adjustment of the temperature, the value lower than the manufacturer's recommendations and the default values (you need to check the manual of your laptop for this).  Also make sure you run the latest version of BIOS (again, the manual of your laptop would have the details; the manufacturer's website should also have this information).

3 event errors are the same.  By chance I hear that the first accident was while I was surfing the net with IE8, it was the only common thing and 1 single tab - on yahoo.com.  The next crash I played Stalker through Steam.  And finally, when I had only Firefox running with 1 Tablet and I was not even touching the keyboard or the touchpad, I just read the screen, lol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I thought I found the problem, but it always stops at random.  I called HP and they said that it's probably the motherboard.  I think that's their standard answer if they have no idea what is the problem.  In any case, I have to send it back, I got it for Christmas.  Now I have to use my old laptop for several days.  I am not happy that nobody cares, have a good day.

  • Why has my laptop started to randomly stop before turning off

    Original title: computer power questions

Why has my laptop started to randomly stop before turning off? I had no problem with this computer at all for more than a year. I tried to run all the updates available, but of course, it turned off before she finished. Sometimes it will run fine then others that it is a nightmare. can anyone help please? I would be very happy to help!

    Hello

Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way?

Remove ALL power and reinstall all the memory cards and cables (both ends where possible).
in fact, remove and replace - don't do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and clean the
air vents. Check that fans are working (before and after opening the case). When your laptop on all the
You can do is to reinstall the memory and clean the vents (still may try to add a small fan as a
    test).

This sounds like material so if the above does not help you then probably need the help of a
real computer store (not of leeks and glances at a Best Buy or other department stores) or the system
    Support from the manufacturer.

  • laptop Windows 7 keeps stopping when she needs to sleep (no virus found nowhere) ideas?

laptop of 2010, when closed, will stop. When I close my laptop it should go to sleep after a few seconds, but 4-5 weeks ago it began to restart instead, randomly... So when I open it I get a notice of "unexpected stop. There is a bubble (MS) asking you to find remedies that shows progress for about 5 seconds and then disappears. I actually don't lose any info but my concern is that it's something with my computer which should not and could possibly interfere with it or my info. I scanned for viruses and spyware without results of malware. I have Webroot that has done a good job with a previous issue, but many scans and 2 trials GMER found nothing that I am aware. A scan MS run 3 times in safe mode did not find something or the other. I thought that this could be related to TWC.com Desktop so I deleted that and a script error that presented themselves. So I uninstalled everything that I could find that has been linked and script errors went away. This computer did not have a threat themselves in a scan with more than a score of level 1 (cookies) in the month. So why would this problem appear?

  • How can I stop the page to reload automatically when I hit the back button?

A few months back, I upgraded to a new laptop, and since then, when I hit the back button, it refreshes the previous page from what I can understand. On my last laptop, if I was doing some research on a site and click the previous button, the search bar would be automatically ready to hit the BACKSPACE and delete what is there for a new search. Now, when I hit the back button, I have to manually click inside the search box to do, and I hate it. When you are doing research on multiple sites, like this time savers really help. This applies to regular sites (forums, online stores, etc.), not search like Google sites.

I don't have this problem on my old laptop and does not know how to solve this problem on this one. They are the two Win7 x 64, and version of the browser is not the issue. I started Firefox on this computer that same exact on the last of them, and after the updates, it's always the same. I am currently on 8.0 but will soon be upgrading to the new.

Do you mean that the search bar on this page focus?

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

I think that's what you were talking about.  If you have any advice or pointers for this VI please let me know.

    1. your consumer loop should use the Dequeue elements.

    2. your consumer loop should actually be freeing up the queue in the case.

    3. it is also useless for the polling stations see how many items is stored in the queue.

    4. your wait in the loop of producer should be that when there is no data in the buffer (you have it in the case of bad).

    5. do not use the value of the bytes to the Port reading VISA tell how many bytes to read.  Say you reading VISA to read more bytes that you always expect the message to be.  Let the stop character stop playback.

    6. use a VISA reading just after the initialization of your port to synchronize your messages.
