HP Laserjet 200ColorMFP M276nw: PCL XL Error, HP LaserJet 200 ColorMFP M276nw, Windows 8.1

Printer: HP Laserjet ColorMFP M276nw 200

Installation: cable network using the complete package PCL6 (last available online)

OS: 8.1 64-bit Windows

Problem:

When you print to some programs (for example the Page of Test, Microsoft Word), the printer prints a page with the following text:

PCL XL Error

Subsystem: kernel

Error: IllegalTag

File name: kernel.c

Line number: 1921

Printing from Notepad works very well. Printing on other computers on the wired network is working properly.

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Updated firmware update
  2. Uninstall, and then reinstall using the latest version of the software available online
  3. Changing to optimize for the text on the Advanced tab.

Thank you for your help.

As explained above, it could be a fault of the driver, or intermittent corruption by the hardware, or (as http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Software-Drivers/M175Nw-PCL-XL-errors/m-p/4940252 says) the result of a recent update of AVG anti-virus.

  • Configuration of scan file on HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw

    Hello

I'm trying to set up my printer to scan to a network folder.

    HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw

    OSX 10.9.4

WLAN (printer and office on the same network)

Here's the problem; No matter what I try, I can't have the printer to scan directly to a network folder.

When you test the connection I get either the ' invalid password or username "or the error"unable to connect to the network folder.

It seems that the biggest problem is the printer in the right network folder referring.

I shared the folder, but I can't get a valid path name, that apparently.

    Show folder properties: / Users/vdlely/Dropbox/max verhuur/Scans

Obviously, this is not complete; I need to add the location of the machine, such as: //iMac-van-AJ/Users/vdlely/Dropbox/max verhuur/Scans right?

No matter what combination I try, nothing works. I used the name of the computer, IP, with and without login etc etc.

What is the correct path in my case?

It would be MUCH easier if you have added a simple browser to navigate to the correct location.

Please help me to set up right.

    Hi @Aernoud,

I see by your post that you are having problems for parsing of the configuration of the network folder. I can help you with this.

I have provided a document to configure network scanning.

How to perform a scan: from the control panel (including the Scan to Email, in PDF format, and to a network folder).

    Please try the following steps:

    1. create a new folder on your computer.

    2. right-click (CTRL left click if you use the keyboard of the Mac) and select read.

    3. unlock the screen, set all term read/write &, located under the share permissions &.

    4. enter in System Preferences > sharing, then select, sharing files in the left bar.

    5. click on the Options button, mark the share files and folders using SMB (Windows) and click done.

    6. under shared folders, click the sign more and select the configured folder.

    7. ensure that "everyone" permissions are set to read & write under the list of users as well.

    8. you will see the IP at the top of this screen, make a note to configure the EWS page.

I think that in consequence of this model of path, you should be able to implement.

Name of the computer or IP address/Shared-folder-name of the computer

    or

-The computer name or IP name of the computer-folder-address\Shared

Find out what the name of the computer as follows:
Go to the Apple/Mac/More report information software/system about / click on the left side on the right side, it should show the name of the computer.

NOTE: The folder must already exist. You cannot create the folder in the built-in Web server.

To find the path of the folder where the scanned images are saved, hold CTRL and click on new folder
created / click on get info/verify shared folder/then copy it to the folder path.

User name - the name that you use to connect to the computer.

Password: the password allows you to connect to the computer.

Please let me know if it worked.

  • LaserJet 200 ColorMFP M276nw: Cannot scan computer, but can print

In recent weeks, I am not able to scan more my computer using HP scanning. I can always print from my computer. It doesn't matter if my computer is connected to my WiFi or cable network. My printer is connected to the network cable.

Scanning was not a problem until a few weeks ago. I do not know what caused change this situation.

The message that appears on the screen of my computer says "HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw-AirPrint is is not available...". ». The reference to Airprint intrigues me.

Still looks like the driver is installed for the printer. Your lack of print and Scan in the printers and Scanners window tab.

Here is a screenshot of what it should look like.

Repair disk permissions and resetting the printing system to see if it helps.

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

    Close all applications.

In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.

    Double-click disk utility.

Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.

Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

    Restart the computer...

    Reset the printing system:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    Click on Printers & Scanners.

Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

Click OK to confirm the reset.

Click OK to reset the printing system.

Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

He used to go to sleep, that is the LCD screen is off and the power LED flashed, as expected after the period button inactive specified, 15 min...

I'm not 100% sure, but I guess it started showing this symptom as I replaced the black cartridge with a genuine HP one. Nothing has changed, and I doubt that if the issues of the cartridge. I've updated the firmware to 20150212, but no help.

When I tried to update the firmware locallly, the LCD panel said he is not able to connect to the server even though it is perfectly on our LAN and connected to the Internet. For example I can scan documents to send to e-mail addresses.

All attempts resulted negative. So I have a chat session with a HP tech support but it could not solve the problem. In addition, there was a much more serious problem with the printer which toners all came out with less than 100 printed pages. However, HP has launched a warranty replacement process and I'm waiting for the forthcoming replacement.

  • HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276n slow or does not respond after sleep/wake

    Hi all

Bought a printer HP Laserjet M276n colorMFP 200. Set up the printer and it's printing of windows and mac computers (also via the local area network (wireless) and even the iPad and iPhone) and scan directly to the pc and mac. Also configured the network folder scan function. Works like charm.

But... When I try to do something after the machine is in "standby mode" everything goes wrong.

1 - printing takes longer path to front.

2 - operation of the toutchscreen (for scanning to network folders, or to photocopy anything) is not feasible. If the machine says it takes about 10 to 15 seconds per order. Sometimes the machine does not respond.

3 - wireless devices sometimes have trouble with the connection to the device.

4 - access to the machine via the web interface content (yet) is slower, if not impossible.

When I manually reboot the printer (using the power button) the machine works fine again.

But I can't immagine what how HP intends to use the machine.

Anyone know how to solve this problem, or if it could be a configuration error during my dissertation?

Also is it possible to disable the sleep mode at all?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

If you have a valid IP address for the printer, then try and access the Web built-in to the printer server. Type the IP address in the address bar of your web browser. (Internet Explorer)

  • LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw: unable to connect to the domain for the IP address. (Wired)

Initially, I didn't have a drop of lan available to connect this printer to the network so I connected directly to a computer.  I recently purchaced a network switch and connected the printer and the computer to the network through the switch.

Now the printer is not joining the domain and is not assigned an IP address of our domain.   When I run the network on the printer IPv4 TCP/IPv4 summary and the default gateway assigned is 6.173.243.184 should be 172.20.1.xxx for our domain.

Lists network ID as NPI138751 hostname with no domain listed.

The wired configuration netwrok lists as connected.

Well the only thing I can think, if you have not yet done, are to reset the printer to Factory Defaults and try again to establish the connection.

  • Cannot print from Internet Explorer 11 using HP LaserJet 200 color on Windows 7

Who would be able to help me?

When I want to print using Internet Explorer 11 on a Windows 7 PC, I can select Preview before printing, but when I actually want to print, it gives the error:

"There was an internal error and Internet Explorer is unable to print this document."

This error only occurs when the 200 HP LaserJet color is selected.

I am able to print on our other HP printers, like the HP Color LaserJet CM4540 multifunction printers.

I am also able to print on a printer using Chrome.

If the problem seems to be related to Internet Explorer 11 in combination with 200 HP LaserJet color.

I tried the 'standard' measures to resolve the issue, such as:

    1. disable Internet Explorer Protected Mode

    2. the value Internet Explorer default browser

3 re-create the missing bass folder and define the level of integrity

    4. start Internet Explorer as an administrator

This does not resolve the issue.

    Please notify. Thanks in advance.
