HP Laserjet P1006: print streaks on a b/w laserjet printer
I got this free Laserjet P1006 and it has vertical lines on the page. See attachment. How can I clean printing?

I want to run or install my HP Laserjet P1006 printer to work on my system without the software freely, I have misplaced the software please I need your help.

My p1006 printer works fine in windows 7. But when it comes to windows 8, I correctly install the printer I print the first page, but it no longer works and does not print anything else.
After installation, it only prints one page and no more.
I tried to install it by adding the printer to the "Add a printer" option, but guess what? All printers are there but not mine...
What could be the problem?
The printer is not currently supported on Windows 8 OS.

I have an impossible to correctly print #6 3 / 4 envelope using WordPerfect X 7 (Version 220.127.116.116).
I use a HP LaserJet P1006, with 10 Windows HOME 64-64-bit. I manually added the #6 3 / 4 paper size envelope in the box size Options paper preferably print and the Print Server preference box. A test page will print correctly, just like a #10 envelope. At #6 3 / 4 print attempt, impressions as if an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper, with addresses in the lower let of the leaf, properly oriented.

I have a new computer that is runnins win8.1 and the word 2013.
I installed my Laserjet P1006 and seemed to work fine until I tried to print labels and envelopes.
With one of these it won't mrecognise the manual feed tray. With labels I put on paper, the sheet of labels into the tray paper and envelopes it tells me to insert the envelope and press 'go' to print. At this point, nothing happens until a few seconds later it still tells me to insert an envelope and press 'go '. I don't know how many times it repeats that I turn the printer off at this point.
The envelope is in Quebec and cannot be deleted!
I tried everything I can find in this blog and so far nothing works.

I started to get a vertical low band and fuzzy print about 1/4 inch wide on a 8-1/2 X 11 sheet about two inches from the left edge of the printed sheet. The document that was not good. I replaced the toner (HP 85A) with a genuine HP toner cartridge cartridge. The same band is still present on a later printing.
Others have been warned of the cleaner program. My WIN10 settings page devices, which is my HP printer; but there is nothing when I right click on the device. Is there a double-secret access to the vacuum cleaner for WIN10?

This is a problem with the imaging in the toner cartridge drum not be cleaned properly. You will need to install a new toner cartridge into the printer to solve this problem.
Is the cartridges that you use a new OEM or revised one?
I just got a new computer at work and it will not print my mailing labels. If I create a word document and print it, it will be printed on paper for labels, but if the document is a model of language, I get a pop-up that telling me to insert the correct paper and click on 'go '. On my old computer I'd get this warning, but when I hit 'go' it would print. Now the printer flashes red (as the work is underway), and then again, the pop-up appears telling me to reinsert the correct paper. I tried to change settings in the properties automatically expect paper for labels, but I get the same warnings. Help, please! I need to solve this problem, because my colleagues will eventually have this same problem, because they all got new computers too.

I looked in the print mailing label little more and I would post the question on the Avery Help Center to see if they can provide a better answer. We determined that the printer will always print, so I don't think that the problem lies in the printing of mailing labels.

Cannot print. Download the paper for the error message jam & no ink cartridge. There is no paper jam. There is an ink cartridge that is full. I unplugged my printer and taking my computer, waited a min or so plugged again. Still getting red flashing on the printer and the same error message.
As OEM HP is responsible for the good operation of the printer and their
drivers provided. Check with HP support, their documentation online and
drivers and ask in their forums.
Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.

When released drivers for the laserjet p1006 for windows 8 pro 64-bit? I have a printer which i cannont use...
Passed Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit Windows 8, had all the problems mentioned above, trying to install Laser Jet P1006. Downloaded and installed Windows 7 64 bit P1006 drivers from HP web site, hp_LJ_P1005_Full_Solution_Row.exe, and ljP1000_P1500-HB-pnp-win64 - in .exe. Had to install both in the order listed above, printer would not work with a driver in itself. Printer works like a champ, can't install the new 64 bit drvr Win8 when (if) HP comes out with it.
Update: A worked well for a week, out of nowhere the same document is sent to print twice, one showing file size, a display 0 kb to the size of the file cannot be deleted 0 kb file without unplugging the printer and restart the computer. May have to do with the installation of Office 2010. Back to the drawing board.
Update 2: after failing to uninstall driver, used HP print and Scan Doctor in order to get the docs on the queue, and how 'delete device '. After that, couldn't find no port selected in "Print properties", I use the usb port 2, but was not yet registered, usb 1 was for my other printer (Lexmark). Computer restarted, a second icon p1006 printer/device manager, was listed usb port 2 and was selected. Printer worked. Uninstalled first icon legacy p1006, unfortunately the two p1006 icons disappeared. Computer restarted, windows detected printer and installed, p1006 icon reappeared in Device Manager, usb still selected as port 2. At the moment the two printers work. All I have to ' do now is of fig on the flag "yellow" on my pc modem... 8 windows aah.
1. recently installed Office 2010. In previous versions of windows and Office, had a similar impression of the problems with the hp laserjet p1006 queued default printer. The fix was to choose Microsoft XPS Document Writer as default, and then select the printer that I want to use in the program when I tried to print a document. Even once just in case.
2. having two HP printers (for example a deskjet and a laserjet) downloaded on your computer causes all sorts of problems of print queue. Has to do with both printers using common files. HP has ever imagined a fix for what I know (haven't checked lately), so if you have an HP printer that is installed, and you want a second printer, you have to buy a different brand as Lexmark for your second printer printer. Suppport from HP will talk about common files, but not on the installation of a different brand printer, then you will have to take my word for it that it works.
After you install a HP LaserJet P1006 printer I can't complete the installation beyond the point of connection of the USB cable from the computer to the printer. At this point, everything freezes up.
Go to the HP website and download the latest software and drivers for your printer and the OS version. I think that this should be your printer:

When you print from Word is always selected P1006? (The Word can have different values by default as system by default.) You can print from another program such as Notepad?
I have HP desktop with Microsoft Vista operating system. The printer I have is HP Laser Jet P1006. 1 months ago about the computer wouldn't print or download an attachment to an email. I uninstalled the printer and re-installed, but the problem persists.
What happened, it was this. With an email (from gmail.com or hotmail.com) once I clicked 'print', the normal menu for printing that should go up. Then I clicked 'print', the monitor would show a display of the menu "save under" and showed the formulations of XPS as 1 line and XPS Documents like the following line. When I chose the option search for a printer and typed in the name of the HP Laser Jet P1006 printer and click "select", the system responded to that file name is not valid.
Please explain what was wrong and how to fix these problems with printing and download of attached file.

Hello. I have a problem with my P1006 printer. It works fine before with windows vista, but when I update windows 7 Professional last month. The printer does not work. I tried to download the driver for windows 7 using IE and Firefox. The driver does not work and the ftp server does not have this file
I chat with HP several times customer service and they give me the same link and its does not work and I did not help at all. They told me to try the next day and so on... I tried to download since the pilot was released until today, but his work much. I don't think that there is a problem with my computer (HP dv5-1000us) because I use the same laptop under vista and it works before. I also tried to download the file to my desktop still doesn't work. I hope someone could help me solve this problem. Thank you.

Try this link, it replaces the ftp: / / with http://. Some systems have settings that impede using ftp links.
While calling fresh HP $$ when it is out of warranty, there are other methods of support that are free. For some products of support is available by e-mail or chat. And of course, there is always this forum, where other users can have an answer.
