HP LaserJet P1102W: Print several copies of a doc when I want to print several different documents

I just noticed a new glitch today. Always I been selection of multiple files in a given folder, then right click and select the option print from the context menu.

Today, what did, I find my printer print continually one of the file multiple times, until I stopped just to the printer. What happened more than once.

I don't know what has changed. I have not tinkered with the print settings, nor did I update the printer driver, or install a Microsoft Update having to do with my printer.

All solutions?

Never mind.

I rebooted and the problem did not appear again.

  • LaserJet P1102w: HP LaserJet P1102w prints EXTREMELY slow by Wi - Fi

I was struggling with this problem for a long time, but today it completely freaked me. I was ready to throw this piece of... printer!

Problem is simple. When I try to print something wireless with graphics (jpeg or pictures images) to my iPhone, the iPad iOS 8.4 or the MacBook OS X 10.10 Yosemite, it takes forever! Document Word, PDF, preview or other programs - same result! I couldn't pring 9 pages today, after that 20 minutes, I gave up.

What is going on. Let's say I'm on mac. Special print goes to the queue of the printer, as usual. After that, this task shows in the queue as 'connection to the printer', green light flashing on the printer, as usual. It takes a minute or two, it's this that unusual. After that, "printing page 1 of departure." This can take 1, 2, 3 minutes... forever! Then a page prints in fact (for 5-7 minutes at this stage brand) and it takes time even to print page two and so on, or (probably) it will spit the unfinished page (only two or three inches printed and the rest of the page is empty) and displays an error flashing light orange. UGH!

I gave up on iPhone/iPad it long, since they can't see the print queue and it is the unpredictable result. You can wait 10 minutes for your document, and then leave and then just find the document printed when you no longer need (or half of the document).

I don't have this problem when you print any text, emails, simple confirmation of safari pages and so on. Only when printing document with pdf graphics or heavy. I don't have this problem when you connect the printer via the USB port (discovered this today). Now what really bothers me, is the fact that I actually could print heavy machine PDF Windows without wireless problem (I had exact problem even print document from my mac). What is going on?!

I googled this problem and found that I am not alone. I've updated all the software and firmware, I tried to reset everything - No. DICE! It's really very frustrating. I thought that this is because of the memory of the printer, but why it works perfectly via USB then?

In any case, it is a cry from the heart. Help, please. The printer is good, but unusabe in certain situations.

    Hello @Ivan4!

Welcome to the community of HP.

I hope you have a pleasant experience here!

I want to help you with slow printing that you encounter when you print images of your HP LaserJet P1102w wireless of your Apple devices.

I thank very you much for the detailed description. Because the printer is able to print fine wireless windows machine, we know that the issue is not with the printer or the communication. The fact that none of the Apple devices are able to print wireless images without being really slow, leads me to believe maybe it's a problem with the AirPrint driver or the Hello protocol that your Apple devices use to communicate information.

Image files are much larger, and much more data needs to be transmitted, so it is normal for them to take longer to print than a regular text document. However, if there is a marked difference in speed between the Windows computer and Apple devices, then the question is probably not just the files are larger.

I want you to make sure that the printer is installed with the driver on your Mac. (Because there is no feature complete HP software available for Mac 10.10 operating system will often default to the AirPrint driver)

    1. Click on the Apple icon on your Menu bar.
    2. Select System Preferences.
    3. Choose Printers and Scanners.
    4. Select your printer and press the (-) button at the bottom of the list to remove.
    5. Select (+), and then click Add printers and Scanners. (NOTE: do not select the printer in the list of printers nearby as this will often use the AirPrint driver automatically)
    6. Select your printer (one that shows multifunction Hello under 'Type').
    7. At the bottom of the window under use: does say AirPrint? If so, click on the drop-down list , and you should see a specific driver for the printer. Click on Add.
    8. Try to print a picture once again and let me know the result.

If it works to solve the problem, then I suggest downloading the HP ePrint app on your iPhone / iPad to print. It may be a problem of incompatibility between the AirPrint on your Apple devices and your router.

I look forward to hear from you and work at a resolution of this problem.

The specifications indicate that your HP LaserJet P1102w can be performed wirelessly or via USB.

    There is no Ethernet connection.

  • LaserJet P1102W: print

My HP Laserjet P1102W is about two years old.  He has recently stopped working and a member of the staff of HP used a remote access connection to download new drivers to make it work again usuing a USB cable.  I received a phone call the next day to check the printer was now repaired and I accepted everything was fine.

I did not check that wireless however until yesterday and it does not work.  My wife connects to the wireless printer and everything was fine until the repair.  The message she gets when she tries to print, is that the printer is offline although it was lit.

There is another problem.  When I turn on the printer the green light is solid, then flashes intermittently and then turns off.  I remember when it was new I could put to sleep after five minutes and he wakes up and print when a request has been sent.  I can't find a way to do it now.

Repairs any help would be most appreciated.  I'm not very good with technology would contribute to simple language.

    I use 10 64-bit Windows.

    Thank you

    Mick8

    Hi @Mick8,

Most likely, it is a problem of network connectivity and not the printer. I would try the steps listed below.

When you run the Wireless Network Configuration, it should automatically find the SSID. (it is the name of your network)

Since it is not automatically find, power cycle the router and try to run it again.

Make sure that the computer is connected to the appropriate network.

Let me know how it goes. Thank you.

I've had my printer for over a year and never had a problem.  A few days ago the printer stopped working.  I tried to print and it would not allow me.  He wanted to come to save the document, instead of giving me the privilege to print the page.  I tried reloading the software and kept getting errors that the installation has failed.  I removed the software and tried to charge it and now I can't even load the drivers or downloads.  My mistakes are "a new printer was not installed.  I tried to click on the troubleshooting button and it says my "printer spooler does not work.  I tried to go into services and right click on "Printer Spooler" to start.  Still nothing.  I don't know what to do.  Can I get help from someone.  I've been at this for 3 days now, trying to use my CD to load the software to go on the HP website to download the software and drivers and still, I get the same errors.  It is a great printer and I don't want to have to replace it.  Please help >

    Hi cmspina,

Thank you for joining the forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you use a printer HP LaserJet Pro P1102w with a Windows 7 PC, which ceased print and also, you can not reinstall the software and drivers for the printer. I would like to help with that.

I would like to start by running the HP print and Scan Doctor. This tool allows to diagnose and fix the problem printer software and printing challenges.

  • HP Laserjet P1102w: printer suddenly responds slowly

I've been running this printer on this iMac for several years.  Suddenly he delayed several minutes before responding to a print command.  He still expects between printing each page.

What could be the cause of this problem suddenly?

    Hi @mloufrost,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that your printer has developed a speed. I would like to help.

When the printer is on, unplug the power cord. Wait at least 30 seconds and reconnect the printer power cord.

Try printing a configuration page. If the page prints in less than a minute, the problem is most likely software or network. If it takes more than a minute, it is probably a hardware problem.

The configuration page lists the properties and the current product settings. It also contains a report of the State newspaper. To print a configuration page, do the following:

On the Control Panel, press in and hold the Cancel button until the light starts flashing and then release the button.

Please let me know the speed of the configuration report to print.

It also wouldn't hurt to align the printer

  • LaserJet P1102w: Printer does not print more than 2 pages

After I've upgraded to Windows 10, I noticed that my printer would print no more than one page, even if several page were supposed to print. (I can't tell if this coincides directly with my move to Windows 10, because it seems that the problem did not begin immediately.) I reinstalled the drivers and software and now it is printing only two pages (as opposed to one), but the problem remains. Can anyone offer suggestions on how to get my printer to print normally again? Thank you!

I uninstalled everything related to my HP printer (in the Device Manager: printers and print queues) and searched my computer for everything related to my HP printer and deleted stuff also. Then I reinstalled the drivers and software from the HP website. I have updated Java also (I have no idea how much this has to do with my impression). I have my printer is off and unplugged for one minute before Relighting. I restarted my computer and now it seems to be printing normally. Praise the LORD!

  • HP LaserJet P1102W: HP LaserJet P1102w prints 1/2 inch too far down on the page

When I print with that printer using Word, it starts about a half inch of print down on the page.

I tried to reset to factory settings, but it does not always work on me.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @2poodles2 ,.

I see by your post that when you print from Word, printing is printing too far to the bottom of the page. I'd love to help you.

Try and print a self-test on the printer hardware to see if it is a hardware or software problem. Select the method two.

HP LaserJet Pro P1102 and P1106/P1108 Printer Series - printing a Configuration Page.

You have this impression of question from other applications?

If this isn't the case, it may be a margin setting in Word applications. Please check the margin settings.

Make sure that the appropriate settings are defined in the properties of the printer and the application you are printing from.
On the file menu in the software, click on print.
Select the product, and then click Properties or preferences.
    Click the paper/quality tab.
Check the Type of paper size, paper Source, paper, to ensure that they are correct.

    Try to print again.

If you still have problems, copy the Word document and paste it into another program, such as Notepad, to see if you have the same results.

What version of Word are you using?

How is the printer connected? (USB, Ethernet, WiFi)

If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the button below the thumbs up.

Thank you. I look forward to hear from you.

When I send a page to the printer it keeps just print and print.  I have to finally turn the printer off and manually remove the job from the print queue.

  • "Printer Validation failed" on HP LaserJet p1102w

When you use the software of HP ePrint on Windows 7 Pro x 64, I get the error 'Failure of Validation printer' when printing a pre-configured HP Laserjet p1102w printer wireless. It occurs after the selection of the printer 'HP ePrint' & clicking on print, then clicking the printer wireless found on the ePrint window. I am able to use the ePrint for Android & iOS app to print correctly on the same printer. I intend to use this printer to print wireless from several rooms of conference on different floors, so a USB conection is not an option. Does anyone know how to solve this problem, so I no longer receive this error of the ePrint Windows software?

In addition, the printer has the latest version of the firmware 20130213. And I tried to remove the password from the printer, but it still produces the error.

I understand now. The works of ePrint better if driver you need multiple computers to access a printer on a different network by turning on ePrint in the printer embedded web server, printing a page of information with a printer (request code) code and complete the implementation at www.hpconnected.com.  Otherwise, you need to install full feature software and drivers (the link is to the American version of Windows 7 64-bit) on each computer and make sure that each device is on the same network as the printer.

I have included a link here with more information on how to set up ePrint.  Respectively, it seems that you do not want to use the ePrint feature and for this purpose, you will continue to have problems with the ePrint driver designed for this specific purpose.  If you have any other questions, I'm happy to help you.

No, none of this has worked.

I receive the error message in the upper right of the screen whenever I try to print.  All that says is that the printer cannot print the file.  Yes, this happens since the print spooler.

    So, what's next?
