HP Media Center m8530F crashes

My HP media center m8530f is equipped with a nVIDIA GeForce 9300 GS plus graphics card

Integrated using nVidia GeForce 8200 graphics.

Windows Update has changed the 8200 a 9200. What is the reason for the gel?

Panel command displays 9300 and 9200 works correctly.

Thanks for all the proposals/solutions.

Hello again HerbluW226,

Unfortuantely, your hard drive showed an error. To be sure, I could run the test again and see if it fails again. If so, I would recommend that you buy another hard drive and start to back up your personal files, while the hard drive may still work. So I would guarantee you your HP recovery disks so that you can reinstall your operating system on your new hard drive.

Let me know if you need help with the foregoing. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Media center immediately crashes when I try to add the extender for the Xbox 360

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium.  I try to add the extender for the Xbox 360 to Windows Media Center. When I go to Media Center tasks and add an Extender, Media Center crashes immediately after I enter my Xbox console 8-digit code and click Next.  I have disabled the firewall of the router and firewall windows without success.  Restart the computer and the Xbox has not helped either.  Any suggestions that I can not yet put in place the Extender?

    Thank you.

    Hi Eric,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum!

According to the description of the problem, it seems that you have trouble connecting Xbox 360 extender for Windows Media Center.

I will certainly help you with this issue.

Here are some methods that you can try in order to solve the problem.

Method 1: Disable the antivirus software and make sure.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Clear the Xbox 360 console system cache and check.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971755

Method 3: Reconnect to Windows Media Center

In the event that something happened to your connection, try to disconnect and reconnect to your Windows Media Center computer.

To disconnect and reconnect to Windows Media Center:

    a. in the Xbox Dashboard, go to My Xbox and open Control Panel.
    b. Select computers, Windows Media Center.
    c. Select Disconnect.
    d. Select the installation program and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the Media Center Windows Installer.

  • Media Center 2005 crashed I loaded Windows XP sp2. Installing XP cannot load explorer.exe and another dll file... Need help or information on how to request recovery of microsoft disk MC2005... Gateway has not.

Help please... I have a gateway gt4024 designed with Media Center 2005. Recently, the system was not "acting accordingly so I tried to reload the OS." I realized that I didn't have the recovery disc, then I decided to load XP Professional I had on it. The law on the computer is as it has been installed correctly and then I get a message saying explorer.exe could not be loaded properly or the drive perhaps is corupted and the same message to another .dll file. Once completed, I can reboot and use the computer, but then the windows installer will not work and the drivers are still present on the hard drive. Now, I loaded the new operating system before and I know that pilots are not supposed to be always present on the system. I then put a new hardrive has had the same problem. So, I then took the hardrive and placed in another computer that was be a dell and load xp fine without error. Can someone point me in the right direction. I contacted gateway to another Media Center recoverydisk, but they said because the computer was no longer under warranty, that they did not have the specified disc and to contact Microsoft. A link would be useful.

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.  Here is a link to the replacement of media information: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246
However, since the entrance to the bridge of your system, the product key may not work with a replacement non - OEM drive.  I'm surprised that the bridge was not able to provide a replacement drive.

I have netflicks on my pc.  I'm trying to connect my pc to my apartment so I can watch on my big screen tv screen netflics.  When I activate windows media center my flat screen turns black and the pc hangs.

Make sure you use the latest version of Silverlight.

Also update your graphics card driver and check the resolution.

  • Media Center (XP) crashes whenever I try to set up the guide.

I recently had to re - install WXP MCE and when I go to the installation guide, it crashes as soon as I take my provider each time.  Also, now that I have the signal from the tuner set up, if I try to go to settings, tv guide I'm invited is ongoing I want to continue, or cancel a download

First you posted a question of Windows XP to a group in Vista

Why did you have to reinstall, there was an existing problem until you thought that a reinstall would cure? If it was a new installation you also installed the system drivers in the site of PC makers, or the cd drivers. Or you made the mistake of allowing the MSUpdate to install / update the drivers

  • Qosmio G20 Media Center crashes when using video or TV

Since April 2006 whenever I try to use the Media Center it crashes when I try to play a DVD or to use the TV. It seems to be a video display problem.
Can someone advise me on this?

    Hello

This problem occurs since the first day of the purchase of the laptop?
Did you install any codec's or 3rd applications?
It's not easy to say why it happens, but if you think that it s a display driver problem then you can try to update the graphics driver.
If it doesn t help it would be very interesting to know if this happens on the laptop picked up fresh.

  • Media Center crashes when I go to the TV recording.

I went back to a restore point when I'm sure I could use this program... the same problem.  It seems stuck at loading and when I decide to remove alt, I receive a notice of accident and the screen goes black.  If the TV was at the time, the sound continues.  Can anyone help?  I see the other answer that not did not help me.  I can't find an update for media center, hoping that was the problem.  I have Windows XP computer which means something different.  Thank you.

Thanks you two.  It happened whenever I went on television, record.  One of the fields has been pinned, it does not matter which and would freeze the screen.  The small cirlce would continue to scroll as if it was looking with the mouse or the keyboard would not work. Finally, I get a message that the media center had crashed and an error report is sent.  Out of frustration yesterday morning, I have reset media center, no help.  I then remembered that I had deleted silverlight the other day, as I did not so he can be installed.  Maybe my husband said 'yes' to this program.  I reinstalled silver light and low and behold... Media Center works great!  Why?  Don't know and don't really care, it's recording and I can schedule other programs or watch recorded those.  I am happy!  Thanks for your interest.  Darby

  • Windows Vista Media Center crashes when I change the channel

Original title: Windows Vista Media Center

Since the beginning of June whenever I try to change the channel on the TV tuner in Media Center it crashes. I tried to do a system restore but restore never worked on my count. • Qosmio G20-111: after disk HARD changing the Media center does not work

Hi, I have a WME Quosmio G20-111, after a hard drive, toshiba support center evolution (disc hard bone) in Italy has reinstalled the WME but whenever I try to use the Media Center pc crash and show me a white screen. After several phone call they told me that the problem is that they don't update quosmio drive drivers?
    I'm desperate, any suggestions?

    [email protected]

    Hello

Well, as far as I know that the Qosmio Player has been installed on the partition hidden on the new laptop, but perhaps the ASP is not install this application after replacing HARD drive.

But I do not understand why the missing Qosmio Player should have a bad influence on the media library? MC is a Microsoft program that is part of the Windows XP MCE. Player of Qosmio is an invention of Toshiba and should have nothing to do with the MCE.

However, you can try to install the Qosmio Player and then try to recover the entire operating system with the recovery CD Toshiba original delivered.

    Maybe it helps.

  • Windows Media Center 7 (64-bit) falls down for TV Set Up

We have recently installed a Ceton Infinitv Quad Tuner (and the latest updates and SW) for our Windows 7 Ultimate PC.  I followed previous forum advice and started the PC to the selective startup to isolate third-party issues, run the .net framework Cleanup tool, reinstalled the components needed .net framework (1.0, 1.1, 3.5, 3.5 SP1 and 4.0) and disabled MC Update.  None of them have worked.

I get to the settings--> TV and Media Center menu crashes or TV---> Set Up TV Signal and Media Center crashes with a message 'Media Center' stopped working.  Other than this issue Media Center works very well.

Any suggestions for how to deal with this?

    Check out the link:

Turn on or off Windows features

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-features-on-or-off

    Method 2:

Also try to update driver BIOS and graphics card to the latest version. You can check the manufacturer's Web site to do the same.

Make sure you have the latest updates of Windows installed.

You can also check if you get an error in Event Viewer about what is causing the problem.

  • Beep short + Long - HP Pavilion Media Center PC

Can someone tell me what is the error, because the PC won't even be the bios screen? Spontaneously, he stopped working and only gives these beep codes as your comments, which are totally different from the documented standard beep codes... No contoumement not spotted on the card either... I am considering buying a new motherboard, but would like to know what happened. :/

I think it's a HP Pavilion Media Center m8530f desktop PC, but could have confused the model number... it is certainly the same as this one. It has a BIOS of HP, so I looked at the HP Bios Beep Codes, but these beeps are certainly not one of those documented...

I filmed and uploaded the beeps on youtube, please take a look:

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=yFl0McDRtmQ

I first thought the old popped capacitors on the mobo was the problem... I've replaced but still no go...

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    EthemD, welcome to the forum.

You did a great job recording audio signals.  I read them as a short and a long.  That tells me that you probably have a memory problem.  Here is a guide that you can see what I mean.

  • Windows Media Center crashes on Vista when you try to play Netflix

I can connect to Netflix and discover my queue and all the rest. I can view the details of the episodes and so forth, but when I click on 'Play', Windows Media Center crashes and restarts itself - every time.

There are other problems in Windows Media Center. Sometimes it freezes during the display of other media, such as Internet TV. I had my computer more than a year, and this is the first time I tried to use Windows Media Center, so I don't know if it worked before.

I tried to find an update for it, but all that I've tried say that it applies to my system. (I always install the automatic updates). I also ran the Fix It program, which says it completed, but which did not help.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi farrelldoc,

    1. What is the error message you receive library breaks down?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    3. what Microsoft fixit did you run on the computer?

There is a known issue on some computers that have a chain very long user agent in Windows Internet Explorer. This problem occurs when the user-agent string exceeds 260 characters. There is currently no work around supported for that matter.

For more information, see the Microsoft article and try the steps mentioned below.

Known issues and limitations of Netflix on Windows Media Center for Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/972496

For the Windows media center crashes when viewing other media issue try the following procedure.

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you perform a clean boot and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    I hope this helps!

  • I used to have the windows xp Media Center until my hard drive crashed. I had to put a regular version of xp on my pc. can I get the media back version?

I used to have xp media center edition 2005 on my pc until my hard drive crashed. I had to put a regular version of xp on my pc. I would like to put back the original version on it. is there one out there somewhere I can get my hands?

Unfortunately, you can not install Windows Media Center in home or Pro.

You will need to purchase a new DVD of WMC 2005.

They are cheap now and I saw them on the Web for about $60

Do a search and you will find them.
