Problem of two ways...

1. bad battery

2. bad charger...

"To test out battery and just use the charger and see if it is consumed on and work without any problem.

then next put the battery leave sit for a day or so... then before you turn on unplug the charger and the market to see if the battery brings the laptop on or not, if not, the bad battery.

    Hello

In the last two months, capability of my laptop to charge its battery has degraded.
She went to a battery completely (100%), not being able to load beyond 98% and then 66% and 30%, and now finally, it says "0% availability (plugged in, charge)", but it never increases support.

Thus, the laptop works when plugged into the charger, but does not illuminate when it is attached only on the battery.

I rebooted the computer several times - first to stop the machine, then unplug it, remove the battery, press and hold the Start button for a minute, then put the battery back, plug the charger in and rebooting the machine.

I installed updates for "Stacks" (IE. Microsoft AC adapter, compatible ACPI Microsoft control method battery and battery Composite Microsoft) in Device Manager.
I also uninstalled the Microsoft ACPI complaint method stack and shutdown and restarted the laptop several times.

Earlier I called Toshiba support and update the BIOS of 1.50 to 1.70, then restarted the computer, but yet again, the battery won't charge.

I bought a new battery, which showed that it was fully charged when when I have attached to my laptop, but when exhausted 0% load, I got the same message as for the other battery: "0% availability (plugged in, load).

I am really puzzled. If not, how can I try to increase the capacity of my laptop battery?

In my opinion, old battery was certainly defective.

    Thanks for your time...

    Hello

Eventually it s a battery but problem is just a suggestion.
I do not recommend buying a second hand battery because second hand battery will discharge a lot faster.
In my opinion, you should buy a new one.

I googled a little bit for PA3250U-1BRS and found a few deals online, it seems that you can get it for 50-60 euros

    Regarding the battery A35.
I think that it should be compatible with your laptop. The A35 is a Toshiba US series (A30 is the European model) and it of very similar to A30.

  • Satellite Pro L500: amber flashing indicator - battery won't charge

Battery does not charge and if the battery has been removed the laptop stops.

When this problem does not occur.

In addition, when the power cord is removed, battery charge for a few moments then yellow flashing lights and load stops. When the stop, the battery charges normal and 100% charged battery gives almost 4 hours of time.

Can you please guide on the problem. Is the power supply problem? or the battery? or the card mother/material?

    How to check the problem?

It seems that you already posted a similar topic topic with your laptop a few years ago.
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=63225

In the first case, it seems that your battery was the troublemaker.

You are talking about charging light. I m not very well what LED it should be.
There are 5 LEDs - from left: DC IN / power / battery / HDD, ODD / Bridge Media Slot

The first DC IN indicator lights green when power is form adapter correctly provided HQ. However, if the output voltage of the AC adapter is abnormal or if power outages computers, this LED will turn off.

The second left power led lights green when the laptop is turned on. If turn you the phone mode standby, this indicator flashes orange.

The third battery indicator show the conditions of the accusation of pulp. Green indicates that the battery is fully charged, orange indicates the battery is charging and orange blinking indicates a low battery level.

    Question:
Are you able to turn on the unit without the battery, but using only an adapter connected?
Usually, this should be possible even if the battery isn't inserted.

  • Satellite L500 - battery won't charge

    Hello

I had a problem last week - my laptop (Satellite L500) works well on alternating current, but the icon shows "plugged in, not load ' and the battery charge is at 0%. So if I remove the outgoing cable it runs immediately. Lighting load LED on the front of the battery is not more.

Laptop is a little more than two years, but works well, everything original Toshiba (battery and charger). I had noticed recently that the battery life was not what it was when lappy was new, but it lasted at least 45 minutes or more, so I knew the battery was endangered, but it is hard to believe it's just failed when two weeks ago could load and run OK?

    Any ideas?

    See you soon,.
    Rebecca

    > so I knew the battery was on the exit door but find it's hard to think he's just failed when two weeks ago could load and run OK?

I think that nothing is impossible, that it means that the battery could be defective.
Of course, it is my personal opinion, but I see only two possibilities: either its battery problem or motherboard problem.

So if I was you, I would check if the problem persists with a new battery tested.

By the way: you can also view this short work around:
-disconenct the battery and ac adptor
-Press the button power (30-40 seconds long)
-connect the battery and AC adapter and turn on the device
-to check if the battery can be charged.

    Hello

I recently received a Satellite M60 and this morning when I plugged back the charger the battery indicator in the taskbar has shown a full battery when there was in fact only 4% left. And sudenly my computer stopped after a few minutes bipping because the battery is low.

It's my second Satellite (the other was aM70 and I changed the battery and the charger of the M70, but the problem remains the same) and now with my M60, it seems to be exactly the same problem (I only got the M60 for two weeks), I don't understand how the battery may already be damaged after 2 weeks.

If anyone can help me, thanks

    Hello

I guess that your new laptop Satellite M60 was not new and it s a laptop second hand. Then the battery and the adapter AC Lentivirales, second hand, coins, or you use the Satellite M70?

However, I think that your battery is simply defective and must be replaced. If your laptop works with the AC adapter plugged there should not be a problem with the motherboard I think but a laptop technician can check this

    Hello

No, I think Don t that it is meaningless to make a diagnosis because it sounds like a hardware related issue and I think that it would be preferable to bring your machine to a service partner chartered for a checkup of material, or probably an exchange of defective components.

I buyed a new. Now I have installed the battery, a few days ago, and my battery is only at 60% load.
Is it possible, that my charger in laptop computer is damaged?

The battery must be charged in an hour I think. That would be good.
Someone know a problem like this?

    Oxford

    Hello

    > The battery must be charged in an hour I think. That would be good.
This is not correct in general charge time depends on the laptop model and the battery. But usually it takes more than an hour at full load.
Check your manual. It should be mentioned on the battery charge time.

In your case, I'll try to load and discharge the battery several times and then check the status of the battery.
