  I had to reinstall the drivers manually. I installed the chipset ethenet, graphics and sound. Everything is sensitive as it should, except my sound. When I try to play a song on my WMP, you receive an error message:

  Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with the audio device. There may be a sound device installed on your computer, it can be used by a program or it is not working properly.

  I made no changes to this laptop, except a few audio driver installation to test a resolution and an installation of Realtek of the ".com" and yet no solution. No, there is an icon on the lower right, which shows that I have an option for sound operation. I tried Youtube.com to test for sound and the laptop is a mute.

  I found this one. I uninstalled all forms of audio from the Device Manager. With success, divided by the number zero. Subsequently, I installed xp SP3 patch Driver HP section:

  Who sets a windows sp2 error was... Reinstalled audio IDT from here. Its an .exe file, ready to download for installation of equipment IDT grateful.

• HP Mini 110 - no sound after replacing hard drive and install XP

  Mini 110 my wife died recently and I had to replace the hard drive.  I got everything up and working well except for the audio.  The driver on the HP website for the 110 will not install as it is said that there is no device installed for this driver.  In the list of hardware, there is a PCI Device with a question mark, and I can't seem to find a driver.  Even after the installation of the driver chipset and bios flashing, there is not audio device work.

  Go to Device Manager and look at the list of devices it.

  Is there a device listed in the Device Manager, labeled as a network controller?

  If so, this is the wireless card that need to install the driver.

  If you don't know which driver you need for the wireless card, please report it to the listed hardware ID of the device that you see as a network controller.

  To find the hardware ID, click the network controller device.

  Then click on the Details tab in the upper part of the window network controller.

  Now you will see a drop-down list of property, and it will be set to the Description of the unit.

  On this list and select the 2nd item (Hardware ID).

  I just got the error 'surprise-we-gave-you-bios-password' after that I tried to fix a hard drive & keyboard for a HP Mini 110 1116 ca.  The on-board battery got disconnected and now it asks password of bios... grrrr!

  Why HP do this! ??  Re-allocation of places a mobo battery & rider is supposed to reset the bios password not give you one.

  You answered. That's what I thought. You have DDR3L-1600 low voltage 1.35 volts. Low voltage will operate at a higher voltage (1.5 volts), but it is not the ideal memory for older hardware. Need memory DDR3-1333 name specified for the HP laptop. You can confirm or refute my diagnosis by putting in the memory of the old and see if it boots.

  Is your memory has 8 black on the side blocks or just 4? You want 8. Also if you have Windows 7 Starter, you can not use 2 GB of RAM.

  I just got an iPad mini 4th generation and I noticed that the sound does not work in a lot of games and maybe other apps. Is there some sort of widespread compatibility issue?  It doesn't seem to be a hardware problem.  For example, Grand Theft Auto III has its on-screen title, but it has no sound after that. Other totally different games from other developers have the same problem, or no sound at all, for example the tiles of the Piano has no sound.   You are the very welcome.

  There are two ways you can solve the problem.

  1. remove the rider of green password on the motherboard, following the instructions in the manual that I posted.

  And as I wrote yesterday, if remove the jumper and turn on the PC does not erase the password, then the only other thing you can do is to replace the motherboard by one with no BIOS password set.

  2. install a video card that has no hdmi on the port.  I put a Radeon HD 2400 in my dc7900 SFF.

  This card has only one S-video and DVI port, so the onboard sound is not disabled when you install a card like this.

  Then you can press the yellow button to reset CMOS to restore the integrated audio system.

  Also: I read all the forums that have been posted so far... and everyone tried... nothing worked.

  Also: Tried to reinstall the old hard drive and the ram... but ALWAYS the same fatal error.
