I installed the blue ink cartridge and is not blue print... I went to troubleshooting, aligned and cleaned the print heads. Printer unplugged for 15 sec, reconnected... No help...

This document will show you want to print a diagnostic page.  It is important to check if you get a cyan on this page.  If there is nothing on the page - no cyan ink goes out.

You may have a kink in a tube of ink - or your printhead may simply need cleaning.
Follow the steps described in this document for more information.

    Unfortunately, there is no substitute ink for your printer.  Printers on the market no longer use inks No. 78 and no. 45.

    In addition, the printer is no longer supported in the new OS (Win 7, 8, 8.1/10) etc, so your concern is valid.

    I chose the eco mode (less ink) for a print job.  Since then that a default printer and some programs (for example, picasa) allow me to choose normal print mode I often forget to choose normal.  How can I definitively cancel eco or printer back to the original setting?  Printer works wirelessly.  Thank you.

    In Windows 7, click Start, devices and printers, right click on the Laserjet P1102w, select Printing Preferences.  Select the desired default values, apply, OK.

    Any printer would work with vinyl, but I would prefer a DESKJET with an ADF (ADF).

    Through ADF will send smoothly and does not deform as much. The printer without the charger can bend the vinyl a little and it can create bubbles in the computer. Hope this helps, thanks.

    Photo black cartridges are designed to be used, it cannot be bypassed or ignored. When printing from your computer, you can set it to print in grayscale (black ink only), meaning that it will use less of the photo in the black, but they will still get used for maintenance. For more information, see use of inkjet printers ink.

    NOTE: It will use the black photo cartridge for printing black if photographic Support is selected for the type of paper or printing is set to auto or to a picture frame.

    I just replaced ALL my ink cartridges in my 6510 and all color cartridges works but is not black.  I have been through all of the troubleshooting steps and won't lose more colorful inks, re-joining again.  The black ink cartridge is an XL.  How will I know if I have a faulty cartridge?  I only use HP cartridges.

    Thanks for getting back to me.  Put a new black cartridge in earlier yesterday and I did not always receive an appropriate test page.  The two top lines would be nice and the rest were completely disappear.  I also downloaded a driver updated, thinking that this could be the proglem.  Same results.  I dropped.

    Last night, I decided to try the suggestion again to remove the cartridges, disconnect the printer, then reconnect again.  When I ran a test page then, it came out perfect!  So, either the Black XL cartridge I had initially installed with color inks was faulty or the driver was bad.  Depending on what it was, thanks for the suggestions.  So far, we have set ourselves.

    My only suggestion to HP would be coming with the test pages and alignment/diagnosis who do not use all my ink before using it for the purpose for which I use my printer... printing!

    My Officejet 6500 did this once before and everything started to work properly.  Now print all colors except black. I replaced the cartridge HP 920XL but does not always print. Printer indicates that the cartridge is not empty. Checked the troubleshooting but no problem with the cartridge or seats.  Through printer head cleaning. Tried to align the print heads, but failed. Does this mean I need to replace the print head?

    Now, it does not print at all, although both cartridges indicate almost full (it looks like the dried ink or almost).
    I get no error when printing.

    Hi salah.

    Do not use the cartridges several months likely to cause print quality problems and think about cloggs due the ink dries.

    You can try to perform a cleaning Cycle and check if this may help:

    1. Open the software HP Deskjet 1050 from your PC.
    2. Click the estimated ink levels.
    3. Open the Services tab.
    4. Click clean print head and follow the instructions on the screen, do not forget to complete the level 2 as well and see if that can help you.
      Note: If there is no partial improvement after a cycle it worth the extra cycle and check if that can help you.

    HP 22XL mentiioning, is the number of correct cartridge that you reference? the Deskjet 1050 printer uses the HP 122 / 122XL cartridges, not 22 like you mentioned.

    If you have the correct cartridges and you see no improvement, try to replace with new ink cartridges we as no use for such a long period can get dried ink.

    Make sure your store to reset the chip on the cartridge at full level.  If they can't do that, they have done wrong.  Take it for a refund.  To test, install a HP cartridge to see if the message disappears.
