HP OfficeJet 4500 G510-m: set a wireless adapter in the port of my HP OfficeJet 4500 G510-M Ethernet

Hello, a recent update of fiber in my house left me without an Ethernet cable to my HP OfficeJet 4500 G510-M.

Can I connect a wireless adapter to the ethernet port on the printer?  I could use the USB connection, attach it to a computer and share the printer to the network.  I thought to fix a wireless to the printer adapter would give me the most flexibility.

Thoughts?

Thank you

Dan

Hello @tarfy58,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you are looking for alternative methods to put your Officejet 4500 G510-M on your network.

I would like to help.

Unfortunately the printers firmware would not know what to do with the wireless adapter.

You would need something like HP 1200w NFC/Wireless Mobile Print accessory.

The only downside is that I saw the Officejet 4500 on the list of supported printers.

Please check the specs of the device, in case I missed it.

Your method the most effective would be to use the USB connection, attach it to a computer,

and share the printer to the network.

  • No connectivity after installing Dell 1702 Driver for Wireless Adapter - of the suggestions?

    Hello world

I'm completely confused on this one and at my wit's end.
I have an Inspiron laptop M5110 and some difficulties to stay connected to my internet so this morning I decided that I would try to update the drivers. I uninstalled the Wireless and Blue Tooth drivers and reinstalled them, but now it will not even TRY to connect at all. In the lower right corner, there is a red x on the wireless bars and says No connections are available. Previously, it would have a circle of rotation while trying to connect, but that is more than all. My Ethernet connection works fine, I even uninstalled and reinstalled this driver (REALTEK) and his work with no problems. So to publish its specific wireless card...

If I run IPCONFIG, the wireless card isn't even more appear. I tried to reset, deactivation, all I could think about. I tried several versions too many drivers, but nothing works.

Right now, I removed it, so I have a yellow exclamation next to the network controller in my device settings. My hardware for the adapter ID is PCI\VEN_168C & DEV_002B & SUBSYS_02051028

I think the info above, I believe that the Atheros wireless card belongs.

Have any suggestions at all as to how I can get this thing to even try to connect to a network? I'm dead in the water... ANY idea would be so appreciated. I can stick captures screen or something else, if you think it would help.

    Thank you all,

  • Broadcom 802.11 Wireless Adapter missing the tx1327cl Pavilion with Win 7/64

I was given a flag of non-working tx1327cl.  Vista 32 factory-installed but I have the recovery disks used by HP to restore to the factory and then update the files, etc..  Now I haved "custom" installed Win 7 64 (since I couldn't switch from Vista 32 to Win 7 64).

When Win 7 was first, loading wireless drivers and it was fine.  As I downloaded all updates, I continued to make sure after each of them noticing if the wireless was still there.  It was... until the download to Windows Live Essentials has been installed.  He disappeared.  It is not listed in the control panel.  It IS listed in the information system under network adapters.

When Vista 32 was on, it would be entering and leaving some institutions.  That's why I saw him like a hawk!

So... question... Is there some 'service' that I need to turn on?  Is there a 'software' that I didn't and I don't have the 'driver' at this stage?  I uninstalled and reinstalled.  I updated with Vista 64 HP drivers and updated with the Microsoft's Windows Update driver.  No help.  Being in the information system means it is there, but something in him running, use it, is not there or not properly defined.

I looked on this forum and a few others had a similar problem, but their positions do not seem to help.

I have also some other questions related to "not be able to upgrade from Vista 32 to Win 7 64" and having to do an installation "made-to-measure":

Things like the fingerprint reader, TV Tuner, etc drivers installed, but I do seem to have software, as for the fingerprint record, etc.  How can I do so that everything works as it should with software & drivers with the hardware in the machine?

    Thank you, Sherry

Thanks for the link.  I will try.

Interestingly, between my post and your post, an update for the Chipset offered by Windows Update send me to a driver from HP site link seems to have fixed the Broadcom.  After you install the update of the Chipset and restarting, the Viola, my Broadcom has been "found" and installed and started.

  • CanI set programmatically PXI-8431 half duplex ports (two sons)?

    Hello

I use an NI PXI-8431/8 RS485 card for half duplex comms. I use configuration of the serial port baud rate usual VISA, etc., but I also want to set the port to two sons, no handshake.

Currently I can do this from Windows, using the Device Manager, but it depends on someone who knows and not to forget to do. I want to automate so that it still occupies my entry into force, without worrying about who used it do.

Can anyone suggest how I can achieve this?

    Thank you

    Malcolm

    Hi Malcolm,

You can set the thread mode and the type of control (handshaking) flow in LabVIEW using nodes of property.

The article in the link below shows how to do this at the end to set the thread mode. If you duplicate the property node, you can choose Flow Control as property instead of the thread Mode.

OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM, WHEN THEY SWITCH TO WIN 7. BUT THERE WAS NO MIRACLE DOCUMENTED THAT I CAN FIND ON THE WEB. IN THE OTHER FORUMS DISCUSS ISSUES RELATED TO THIS PROBLEM CONGREGATE, THEY PROVIDE NO BUGS. I NEED HELP TO SET UP MY WIRELESS NETWORK ADAPTER TO THE RECONFIGURATION OF THE WIRELESS NETWORK.

Thank you all who responded and have tried to help me. Before posting, I tried most of the mentioned patches, including upgrading my firmware of the router. In addition, I went to Device Manager and scanned for changes and checked the properties under the Advanced tab of the Wifi link adapter. I tried the update driver and deactivation and activation of the device. None of this has worked.

Finally, I uninstalled and then reinstalled the Wifi card. It worked. I guess the driver software became corrupt and data of the register of the device had probably need re - install, this is what worked. This seems to happen when upgrading Windows operating systems prior to WIN 7 and later people lose their wifi connection. Then this problem develops.

It worked for me. I hope this works for others with the same problem.

Once again I thank you all.

  • Cannot install Wireless Adapter (card NETWORK or USB key) to the Pavilion p6340a Win 7 Home Prem

I removed a work card TP-Link to a Pavilion a1300a XP Home PC network to put in my Pavilion p6340a Win 7 (64-bit) Home Prem PC.

Download and install the current drivers of TP-Link.
Installed everything well and the adapter can be seen in sub "Change adapter settings" in network and sharing Center and shows as working properly in Device Manager, but it is not recognized as a network within the network and sharing Center.

Under "Manage wireless networks'" nothing appears, if I then click on Add"then manually create network profile" "I then get an informative message '" an unexpected error occurred'. "

Suspect a problem with the NETWORK card, I uninstalled it and its drivers and tried to install a USB wireless adapter with the same exact result and the error message. It seems that there must be an OS problem or something stopping the wireless to work. USB adapter both NIC work properly when installed on the former Pavilion a1300a XP Home PC. NETWORK card and USB adapter are the current drivers for Win7.

All the ideas it driving me crazy. A simple 5 minutes on any other PC task turned into many.many hours without solution.

After many hours of uninstall re install & try everything under the Sun in many forums, I finally found a solution. Despite trying with firewall disabled at different times was the final fix

    1. Uninstall NETWORK card and USB drivers and devices.
    2. Then uninstall the AntiVirus (in this case AVG Internet Security)
    3. Reinstall the NETWORK card and drivers
    4. Reinstall AntiVirus

Tried the USB adapter as well so that the antivirus has been uninstalled and installed no. with problems.

    Everything works very well.

  • Problem with access point or wireless adapter

    Hello world

tried to connect to my WiFi, but the convenience store detects that the problem with access point or wireless adapter.
The drivers are up-to-date and functioning normally. There were discussions on BIOS but I don't know if I would be able to complete the task without bricking your laptop.

    Is there any online support?

    Hi smert

Your message is not really useful.
Why? Because no one knows all the details of the laptop, wireless network card system...
So please would you be kind enough to provide more details.

But despite the missing information, I recommend:
    (1) reset your router WLan
    (2) check the connection to the WiFi unsecured. (of course for testing purposes)
    (3) check the different (WPA/WPA2 AES, TKIP) encryption

  • Satellite 5200 903 does not detect the wireless adapter

    Hello everyone,
I wonder if anyone can switch me to it...
Since I reinstalled the operating system (my XP pro SP2) PC seems not detecting don't nor the wireless adapter in the device under network adapter Manager.
Also the light of the flexibility wireless no longer not.
I also have problems to access the BIOS to check if the card is detected there, have not a Toshiba HW setup in Control Panel as described in the manual.
    Any suggestions?

    Hello Juliana

The question is how did you install the operating system? If you use the restore CD to install all tools including Toshiba HW setup. If the unit is pre-installed with the Microsoft Windows XP Home edition CD, you must install all the stuff of Toshiba late.

Just a little explanation about the wireless network card. Basically, if the wireless switch indicator turns not on s clearly indicate on hardware problem. I guess that the wireless card is faulty. Also check if the card is listed in the Device Manager.

If you want to enter the BIOS settings pres ESC key at the boot routine and keep it down for a few seconds.

    Good bye
