HP Officejet 4630: Printer not copy

After putting new cartridges in the printer (HP Officejet 4630). The screen shows that it prints an alignment page but it doesn't and I'm unable to make copies of the photo.

Hi again,

Well, a little more sounds like a printer problem, rather than ink.  I would try to unplug the power to the printer without turning off first. This should do a power reset on it and restart the process of alignment with success. If this does not help, you will need to talk to replacement/repair of tp HP phone support options...

I try to print a document from my computer and all I'm getting are dashes or white sheets. I've only used the pronter 4 times because I got it and 2 out of 4 times are to print or copy. There is ink in both cartridges so I don't know why, it's just Govind me white pages. I tried to clean the cartridges and to align it to see if it works, but the alignment page was not printed correctly. His lack of the printer image and most of the lines on who should be present. I know because I still had the first copy, when I did the alignment. I had this for less than a year and hardly used lrinter so I don't know why this isn't the impression that it should.

  • HP officejet 4630: HP officejet 4630 does not print

My printer is not printing. When I try to print now come but it dose not print. I tried to print from 2 computers and same problem. Also tried turing the printer works but the problem persists.

    Hi @MichalP,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you use a HP Officejet 4630 e-all-in-one printer with a computer Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan and the printer will not print even though it now says "Printing". I would like to help with that.

You mentioned that you tried a second computer and it did the same thing. The second computer is a Mac as well?

I would start by doing a Reset of the power on the printer. Maybe the printer is in an error state.

It looks like the image that you tried to load didn't download successfully so I'm not able to see what it was.

Please let me know if the power reset helped, or if you need further assistance. If you need to return, please indicate which operating system and uses the second computer.

  • OfficeJet 4630 does not print on the network

My printer print is no longer on a network connection, a USB connection. For example, when I try printer in MS Word, the menu of the printer displays "Unable connect", even though I'm perfectly connected to my printer. I've had this printer for about two months, and it has been the case for at least a month. I ran "HP print and scan doctor, and he tells me that there is a driver conflict, but whenever I reinstalled the driver and all software, he repeats the same error message. I also run the program of "troubleshooting HP Installation failure - network", but to no avail. My PC is connected to my router via an ethernet cable, and my printer is connected to my router via a wireless connection, note that I've never had this problem until recently. All reports that I printed state that there is no problem with the connection or the printer, the signal is excellent. I rebooted my router, I reinstalled, I restored default on my printer.

    Hello Adam_C,

Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand your concerns with your Officejet 4630. I noticed that you have made some necessary troubleshooting steps, and you tried to plug a USB cord to test the connection.

What is your operating system on your computer? Click here to read: Windows.

    Please follow these steps:

First of all, to follow this entire document from HP on "Can't find printer" Error Message appears on the computer for a wireless network Installation. This does not include the software to uninstall/reinstall.

If you get the same error after following all the steps in this document, please let me know.

Also, I would like to add a port on your computer to a wireless network:

    (1) go to devices and printers on your computer
    (2) right click on your printer
    (3) select printer properties
    (4) select the ports tab at the top
    5) click on add port, select Standard TCP/IP port, and then select new port
    (6) type your IP address of your printer, click Next, and then finish
    (7) click on apply, then OK
    (8) try to print a document

    Impatience on your part.

  • OfficeJet 4630 does not scan/copy

My 4630 prints well but when I scan (or copy) things I get a small image with vertical lines all the way down the entire page (not just the image).  I tried connecting direct wire and wireless - I'm getting the same problem.  Ran 'fix' software with no luck.

    Thank you for your advice.

    Hi NaplesVince,

    Thanks for providing the screenshots.

    Sorry, that did not help.

It looks like a hardware problem with the printer or the scanner bulb.

  • OfficeJet 4630 do not print on the internet

I have an Officejet 4630 running out of Windows XP on a USB cable.  (I have a home network set in place as well)  Not for the life of me, I can get this thing to print from the internet.  I get a message "remove" - sent to the printer in the print queue.  But nothing happens.  I can't even remove this task from the queue.  I am able to print from MS Word and test pages.  I ran the doctor of HP print several times and he tells me that everything is fine.  I'm losing my mind here.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Please keep what's left of my sanity.

Nevermind, I got someone to help me.  And of course it was an easy fix after 4 hours fiddling with it.  I got the wrong destination on Google Chrome.  UGH!  All better now.

  • OfficeJet 4622 prints not Windows 8, but will print from Linux

    Hello world

I have an OfficeJet-4622 printer set up on my network (wireless) and two computers. The first is a portable computer running Windows 8, and the second is a desktop running Ubuntu Linux. Both have HP (and HP Setup) drivers installed. When I try to print something from the Windows 8, it will start printing and then say that year error has occurred. The print will be print part of a page, nothing or half of employment and a white sheet.

However, if 'copy' of the printer, or print from the Linux computer, everything works fine. One thing to note is that I'm using remanufactured cartridges, but they should not cause a problem on a single computer only.

I am at a loss here, so any suggestions on what to do to solve this problem are greatly appreciated.

Thank you and have a nice day.
    Patrick.

I think I solved the problem eventually. On one of the posts of post-its, it linked to a page where you can use the automatic installation wizard. I did, and it reinstalled my driver (s). He had said the previous installation was not completed successfully. So I'll try again to print. The print came out fine. If the previous installation must have been the problem.

  • HP officejet j6480-do not copy or scan.

The Officejet prints well, but will not copy or scan anything on the glass - what is proper. The whole page comes out black and striped - cannot do printing, only a pale reflection of the form of the paper I copy, i.e. a receipt.   I do not see the light 'bar' pass back and forth. Suggestions?

Pull the power cord to the back of the unit (with it's ON!)

Keep #6 on the front of the unit.

While now the buttons to the bottom of the plug again.

Continue to hold the buttons for at least 15 seconds.

May need to try this twice before scans are clean if the unit is ok.  Otherwise, you may need to replace the unit.

Recently, when printing, the printer appear uses both sides of the paper, even when we don't want him. There is no option to turn it off when you print a Word document.

When printing Pages it shows a checked box that says BOTH SIDES, if I uncheck, then it works.

But from Word, there is no other choice. I tried the file/Preferences, I tried through the printer settings and nothing we can find will solve this problem? This has recently (last week or two) become a problem...

    Thank you

    VFN

I talked to a technician and solve the problem.  For some reason any scanning HP app was not showing in the Mac Applications folder, which it is now. What I don't understand is what OCR really means because I just saved a scanned in the rich TEXT format document and it is editable. It wasn't always the case I think that scanning an image required OCR technology so that it can be modified according to me. So what is the point of the OCR now if it appears as saving an image as a RTF (or other format that I suspect) allows for editing?

    Thank you.

Sorry for the double post and I check this thread as resolved, although I'd love to hear my understanding of confusion OCR addressed.

  • HP Officejet 4630 portable printer: HP Officejet 4630 printer does not print until the computer is restarted

When I send a document to the printer; It shows in the print queue, but does not print.  When I restart my computer, the document will print.

The same thing happens whenever I have send a document to the printer.  I have a WiFi connection from my laptop to the printer.  The blue icon on the printer lights indicating that plugged.

Why does only work when the computer is restarted?  I ran the HP Support Assistant, and it does not find the printer; even if the printer seems to find the computer once I restarted the computer.

It's embarrassing to say and I'm not very technical interest.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @Maggie78

    Thank you for your patience.

    You can try the following:

    Creating a TCP IP port

    1. print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
    2. on your PC, go to the Panel control, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
    3. click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
    4. Enter the IP address of the printer.

Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

    Hope that helps!
