My HP 4500 G510N-Z makes very loud clicking and grinding noises when it prints. Printing turns out very well but the noise is very loud. Does this mean that the printing function will stop working soon. Can it be fixed?
Often, sienna42, grinding loud noises are indications of a hardware problem that develops. Please see the document located here for the procedure help solve noise problems.

My HP officejet 6500 printer do not print one color... .we just put new ones in... He took command of printing and the paper comes out of the Virgin.
I went to the HP support team and they had a video to help with "Troubleshooting", they showed me how to reset my printer. There were several options which I had already tried... so I did the reset partial... .or you unplug and wait 20 min... then hold it at the same time # and number 3 and reconnect the power chord at the same time... It took 7 minutes for the printer run the test of the colours that mine passed... and my printer works now! Thank you very much. HP team
I replaced my Officejet 6500 printer and removed the software using the 10 software removal tool windows. The software has been removed, but a message appears everytime I start the computer saying that the software cannot find the 2 support files. I can turn off the message and continue the start up, but it's still a nusiance that I would rather not deal with every time I start my computer.
Open Windows Explorer and type the following in the address bar:
Remove the shortcut to "Monitor alerts ink" and restart your PC in order to ensure that the error no longer appears.
Hp Officejet 6500 printer - E710n - z does not print documents from my PC but will copy the documents placed in the tray of the printer. I set it up as a network printer with a wifi modem in another room. I used the Control Panel, click right in the image of the printer and done research failure, checked the driver (this is the last) and the control panel tells me that the document prints, but nothing happens. I am trying to print with margins of 0.5cms word documents. I tried with 0cm margins and some print and others don't which is the reason why I changed the margins to 0.5cms. I get a warning that the print area is greater than the margin and that some of the document will be lost, but that's okay for me because I am a printing table and you want to cut the paper along the lines of the grid.
Looks like it might be a problem with this document, the settings or with Word. Are you able to print from other applications/programs?
I would like to continue you here: How to troubleshoot printing in Word failures
I'll watch for your reply.

Get copies in black, but the printer does not print black Printing configuration report shows the color cartridges, but the black cartridge is empty. I installed a new cartridge and, as I said, I can copy in black.
Document here has troubleshooting which can help solve the black does not print on your Officejet 6500 be sure to check the vents. If the above does not resolve the problem, the message here can help.
Note that black copies are in fact in the color ink to make composite black.
I'm having a problem with a single color (magenta) print does not correctly. I've had problems before with black. Why the prinhead cleaning cycle does not allow the selection of a single color for cleaning? Why should I lose the other colors of ink when there is only one that needs to be cleaned? I know that HP wants to sell ink, but be reasonable! That I had problems that appear only after you HAVE installed a new ink tank. And it has not shown using a cartridge to power after best-use-by-date. My guess is that if the ink cartridges are not stored properly the use-by-date means nothing.
There are a few components of the automatic cleaning cycles. There are a set of wiper rubber that moved across the printhead to wipe or scrape debris from the print head. All wiping little ink is spit of each nozzle to lubricate the wiper and help clear the clogged nozzles. The wiper is built on a unique sled with a motor that moves the wipers back and forth. Allowing single color cleaning would require a much more complicated mechanical system, with four distinct and motors wipers to control. (The wipers should be dedicated for each color. She would cause the nozzle clogging if the black ink is allowed to mix with the color and would cause if different colors used the same color mixing wiper.)
Similarly, for your Officejet 6500, there is a pump system for a more energetic cleaning or for initial priming of printhead. If it was designed for a single use of color, then a more complicated system, with four independent pumps and controls.
A Mater of reliability and economics, it is not practical to have separated in level printers cleaning cycles.
Hi, I have an Officejet 6500 (E709n). I also have Windows 7 64 bit.
I did nothing yet suddenly the printer started printing in landscape, even though my settings call for the portrait. It has a new pop of the print window. (First default window appears select print, then it coils, then jumps to the top of the final window which is the new.) The following image is what I'm talking about. All my settings are correctly defined and yet it still prints as shown in the picture.
Thanks in advance for any help!
After looking into your problem, a bit I found a thread on another forum with what appears to be exactly the same problem. Below I will include a link the the wire and instructions on what has been done to solve the problem. I would like to know if it works or not.
Firefox default print landscape
1. in the web in Firefox address bar type about: config and press ENTER. (it can warn you about changing settings here just click OK to continue)
2. Locate the print.printer_NAME OF PRINTER.print_orientation (where the PRINTER NAME is the name of your printer) and right click on it and click Reset.
3. conclusion of the tab, and try again (it may be a good idea to restart Firefox first).
I want to print on canvas paper. I don't know if my printer model (it's a Scanner printer Officejet 6500 Fax) is compatible.
In Print Options, I don't have the option of canvas. I looked for HP paper canvas online and is that big rolls that are too wide. I was wondering if I could buy paper canvas of another brand and would it work?
Probably best to check with HP, their documentation online support and ask in the forums of HP.

Using a printer OfficeJet 6500 wireless on Windows 10 system. I try to print a chart (dress model) of a PDF with Adobe Reader. There's a graphic box that needs to be 4 "square but mine test prints in 3" squares. I reloaded the software, rebooted the printer and tried from another computer. All with the same results. I see nothing in the print area of drive to change the size of the print (suggestion was 'real size'). Any suggestion?
I suggest you install Acrobat DC (free) from Adobe. It has options for 'Real size' or setting the scale a specific % of size.

The printer is set to work wireless.
I have the printer set in place. I could print my wireless test report and have determined "That I have successfully setup my printer wireless." But when I try to configure the printer on my computer and it asks IP... I give the IP address and it did not recognize the "Can't find printer" looks like I have witnessed this process again and again today.
I disabled my firewall by following the instructions.
I used the tool for "troubleshooting your connection to a network printer" stage 5 "
Then he told me to go to the HP support forum.
I had charged down the bad print driver. My printer is a more... years had loaded the wrong printer driver.
I just bought the Officejet 6500 a week ago. No problem installing. But, I noticed that I can print on 2-3 pages, then the printer starts to jam. Real jams... I need to remove the paper and unity two-sided... only to have jams more once I print on more than 2-3 pages. It is a constant, annoying and time consuming problem. What is a problem for all printers Officejet or just the 6500 Series? I saw the link on the cleaning rollers... I intend to give this option a try tonight, but I was wondering if there are other tricks or methods to solve this problem. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
As long as you are standard weights and quality office paper, I think you may have a bad printer (I'm sorry about that).
I have a J6500 prototype printer in my lab at home and it was a great performance for me. My suggestion is to share the printer.
My OfficeJet 4500 G510g-m SN-CN29IK42KX05CQ OS-Windows Vista makes no noise.
When you fax there is no tone and if a fax comes in the fax machine does not ring.
I followed the instructions on the screen and nothing is not connected until the instructions told me to.
It is of my second OfficeJet 4500 G510g-m and my third hp all-in-one is connected to the hp Pavilion and it is a first for me. I hope someone in the forum can help with this problem.
