HP Officejet 6600: Change ink cartridges Hp OfficeJet 6600

I have just completed my first ink cartridge and need to change all four (black and three-color)

How do you get the print head to slide in the Middle so that when you open the door for access to the

dimensional ink you can do.  My printhead is still stopped on the right hand side and I don't know how to do so that he can stop in the Middle so I can put new cartridges in place.   The three color cartridges are

go out right now and the black cartridge is in place.

Here, the document shows how to replace the cartridges, the printer must be turned on.

Ink cartridges carriage does not come to the center when I lift the cover if I put in new cartridges.

However, the fact printer print and copy, for transport of cartridge works for printing.  Help!

Hello Shorty944and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you have issues with your transport movement, but only when changing cartridges. I would like to help with that today.

I suggest you perform a power reset. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

"I suggest also running through the steps described in this document on 'traffic Jam' or ' 0X610000F6" Message appears on the control panel, just in case there is a problem with the transport catch or delaying its movement.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Change ink cartridges (question on installation)

It's a pretty basic question, but since I have never changed a cartridge before, is there something I need to do before introducing a new black cartridge, I received a message saying that he was weak. Can I just install it, or do I have to unplug the printer and the USB cord or what. Thanks in advance. ~ ~ Sandie

What printer model?  Generally, you must have the printer plugged in and turned, and then open the cover.  After a few seconds, the cartridges should be released to change, either moving to the Centre for access, or free access to the right or the left.  It is not necessary or desirable to unplug the USB cable.

Note that for most models the low ink indicator is a warning that the ink is exhausted, you don't need to actually change the cartridge until the print quality begins to suffer.

My printer ran low on ink... I replaced both cartridges, after which I was instructed to print an alignment sheet. It does not write legibly. On my old printer, I used to be able to "clean head", but it does seem to be this option on this printer, or is it?

  • do I have to buy color ink cartridges? HP Officejet Pro 8600 more Windows XP

The printer will not print anything (including black and white which is my default setting), at least that I have installed a new yellow ink cartridge.  He says that the cartridge is exhausted and must be replaced before printing.    I have black and white printing color cartridges? Is there a solution? Thank you very much.

    DavidDavid salvation,

Yes, you will need to replace the yellow cartridge to continue printing. Here's a good explanation of the design of the print mechanism, and what is needed to keep them in good working condition. Your printer is user replaceable print head. With this printer's ink lines that need to be filled in ink in this way that the print head should not be clogged jets in turn cause poor print quality problems.

HP, as other printer manufacturers, offers you with permanent print heads printers requiring ink for all colors, avoid the print heads.  HP, like some other manufacturers, also offers printers with user replaceable print heads.  These may of may not require ink in all colors in print, even though damage may occur if the print from the cartridge empty.  Finally, HP as some other manufacturers also offers printers with the printhead into the ink supply.  He is replaced at each change of cartridge.  These printers will happily print with a diet low, empty or many deleted completely same models.

When you buy your next printer (from HP or from another manufacturer) be sure that you understand what is the type of printer and choose one that fits your needs.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 depleted a color ink cartridges - printer will print not except if replaced

When one of my color ink cartridges is empty ink, my printer does not print until the ink cartridge is replaced.  Of course, I go out and buy new and install it then get the message that another cartridge needs to be replaced!

I only print in black ink in all cases.  Is it possible to print only black ink without replacing color cartridges are empty ink?

In addition, if a color is exhausted, I should automaticall replace all color cartridges?

    Operating system: Windows XP

Officejet 8500 printers individual ink cartridges (IIC); This machine requires that all cartridges to be installed to ensure that the printhead not damaged. In the printer, the ink is used not only for printing, but retain the printer and the print head. We can reduce the amount of color ink, the printer uses by changing the print in grayscale settings or use black ink only. Page 34 of the Manual shows how to change these settings when you print the documents. For more information on how the ink is used in the printer; It can be considered as this page here where he goes into detail about the different ways that ink is used in the printer.
I would just replace the color cartridge the printer says needs replacement when the machine alerts you of low ink. I would replace all the colors at a time when only needs replacement.
    I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Help: I changed the cartridges and they are locked (JO 6800)

I had a few problems print quality with my OfficeJet Pro 8600 and I changed the ink cartridges (950/951XL). Unfortunately, the problems are remained so, instead of buying a new printer head, I bought a new printer: a 6015 OfficeJet at Staples. First of all, I had to install the set up of the cartridges but pass them the old printer, which I had already brought to the depot of garbage to new XL versions. And guess what? The cartridges were locked! Now, I have to remove the locks in the old broken printer (what is left) or I can throw them-which is a shame because I bought the new 8615 especaially because it uses the same (expensive) XL cartridges. Please HP: help me. A loyal customer.

Any cartridge that is installed in your Officejet Pro 8600 would not be usable in another printer, including a different of Officejet Pro 8600 8600 Pro Officejet "cartridge protection" was defined.  This cannot be reset, even in the original printer.  Turning off the cartridge of the printer's built-in web server protection will not affect future cartridges installed in the machine.

Given the circumstances, I suggest call HP and ask if they can help to.  If they decline please post here and I'll see if I can help with a different approach.

You can disable the protection of the cartridge in your Pro Officejet 8615 for the future.
