HP officejet 7500 E910: unable to connect my HP printer to laptop

I can't get my laptop (Toshiba Satellite) to connect with my printer HP, (Officejet 7500 E910). This printer was working with this computer until I experienced connection problems. Thought it was my router and replaced by the new router, (BelkinAC1750 DB). Router works fine with the laptop and another, (which has Windows 8.1). I can't connect either wired or wireless for printer or PC. I rebooted to update software that is recommended with this printer that is listed as compatible with windows 10 twice. When I run the HP software to solve problems, it shows the installation is successful, but I get a file error when I try to print.  I tried to reconnect several times to the network, but I think that the IP address on the printer set up display is wrong, but I don't know how to check this. The HP software troubleshooting help gives this as a problem, (the IP address is incorrect or a wireless network).  I disable firewall and antivirus with no result. I read all the suggestions I can find without success. I would like to reset the printer to the original configuration, but I can't find the method to do it. I think the problem is with the printer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I discovered how to reset my default settings for the touch screen of the printer. It's under the 'Tools' menu, I didn't just not scrolled to the bottom. I have reset to the factory settings and then you had to use the HP printer Assistant, but I connected the printer to the network successfully with the correct IP, 192.168.2.171. The two PC is now no trouble-free printing. I don't know how I got into this mess, but I know that it is with your help that I managed to find a solution. Thank you for your time and your efforts. You saved me time and money.

I have a wireless HP C4580 printer that connects to my Acer Aspire laptop using windows 7. The two have worked together very well for months.  My wireless router stopped working a few days ago, so I had to unplug the device to make it work again is it.  But since then, I can't get my lap top to communicate with the printer now.
I went all the problem of shooting and insured the printer is on line and set it as default printer. I even did a system restore, as suggested in the troubleshooting
With the help of the program are the two messages that I get now troubleshooting
1 that the C4500 series can be contacted via the network (this is the message that I had before the restoration also)
2 the C4500 series is not shared with the homegroup

All the tips are greatly appreciated in progressive simple language as possible as I am a bit useless with computers

I assume that the printer is all first directly connected on the router, then the laptop?  Access the router and make sure that the printer is listed as a "wireless client" connection  If this isn't the case, you should probably restore the wireless "link" between the printer and the router then the printer should work.

  • OfficeJet 7500 has E910: error scanner E910 Win7 Officejet 7500 has "not detected any computer" & Doc printer/Scanner has no help

I just moved my printer/copier/scanner/fax, E910 Officejet 7500 has on one side of my office to another.  In the process the power and USB cables have been disconnected.  Same USB cable as before, connected to the same port on the computer.<3 meters="">

Re-installed software CD.   Downloaded updates.  Several files in the HP folder are displayed with today's date, so clearly that something happened with the update.

Printer is now recognized and will display the files on the computer.

    Photocopier creates copies.

    ... Scanner not scan.

When a document is placed in the tray sheet or on the glass, "no computer detected" error message is displayed on the HP device.  [Note: this computer can send commands successfully, if clear communication goes]

On the computer, when the devices are searched and displayed, the HP device appears with any other printers/Fax.  Scanner is not mentioned here - but when the details are drilled for, said that it's in the category 'printers, scanners '.

Googling suggested tool print and scan doctor, so I went to that and downloaded.  When you click on it to run it, it says that (paraphrase) some files are missing, wants to download them (value 121 mB). So, I click Yes or then, or whatever, and it brings them.  Notice I just do a full install and updates downloaded, that more can he want?

Then, nothing happens.  Help HP screens suggest that he must now ask me what function I want help or ink on.  Nothing, no suggestions with little green checkmarks or advice of the error.

So I went down there is text on what to try.  Some apply - after that the doctor Download 4 or 5 times and do the suggested software download it 4 or 5 times, somehow unnecessary.  Disconnect and reconnect the USB cord - done that, at least the print function does not disappear, but the scan did not return.  Restarted the computer and printer HP - has done that, no difference.

This is not the first time that the scanner was not updated on the computer at the other end of the cable.  In the past and it has been a while, memory, is this activation of the analysis of the computer set the scan to life function, but I do not see this option.  The computer "HP Scan" displays an error message that the HP Officejet 7500 E910 was not found, as does the Windows Fax & Scan.

Why, if the printer can be found, and it is in the same unit as the Scanner, the scanner will not appear?

Telephone support HP identified the problem: no drivers.  Took about 15 minutes for a useful person straightening things.

Note that I had uninstalled the printer and its software before re - load the software.

As part of this process, I had identified with HP via different input strings the OS of the computer and the details of the all-in-one device model number.  So why couldn't HP identify the drivers concerned and ask them to download also?

Anyway, for now, what I need is working.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Unable to connect printer OfficeJet after update Win10

I had my Officejet pro 8600 perfectly connected wireless to Win 7 for several years.

After the update to Win10, I am unable to connect to the printer. The printer status shows that driver is not available.

I checked Win10 and Adobe by other suggestions from the forum. both are up to date with the latest version.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer Win10 driver and the download driver HP. None succeeded.

Run the convenience store Win10 shows that the print spooler cannot be started. He is set to start automatically, but is currently stopped. I can not start it manually, and it does not start after a reboot.

The fixed! I found the following information on a page of the Microsoft Help forum:

Thanks to http://www.registryrecycler.com/blog/2013/12/how-to-fix-printing-error-in-windows-8-1/ for the fix.

Apparently, the Windows 8.1 updates had the same problem.

Editing the registry is necessary. Make sure that you have a backup of the registry before making changes.

    • Press the keys Windows + R on your keyboard to open the run box.
    • Type regedit in the box run and press Enter to open the registry editor.
    • Confirm the UAC message by clicking on the Yes button.
    • In the left pane of the registry editor, expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to find the key below.
    • SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Spooler.
    • While the spooler key is highlighted, you can navigate the right pane to assign the value DependOnService.
    • Double-click the string value to change the data.
    • The data in the value field should contain the text saying RPCSS, followed by http in the next line.
    • Select and delete the letters http and click OK to save your changes.
    • Leave the part of RPCSS to the value data as it is written.
    • Close Registry of Windows and restart your computer.

We have a HP Officejet 7500 E910. We scan 11 X 17 (tabloid) directly to print (by analyzing the halves separately), but I can't find a way to scan to a file. Is this possible?

    Hello

It is possible using the ArcSoft (Scan - n - Stitch Deluxe for HP) software that was provided on a different CD with the printer.

Thus, this can be done using the façade of scanning to a memory device:

  • Printing an envelope A2 in Officejet 7500 E910

I tried several times, in vain, to print an A2 envelope on this printer.  It will show perhaps, but I have dark lines or it will jam, which is most likely to occur.  By checking the archives, I see other printers do not support this size envelope, but there is no mention on my particular model.

The same applies to this model or am I missing something?  If this printer is able to print an envelope of this size, is there a work-around perhaps?

Thank you very much for any assistance, you may be able to offer.

    KJ

    Hello @KatyJean,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you get problems printing A2 envelopes using the Officejet 7500 E910. I will do my best to help you! First of all, I need to know your operating system on your computer? Windows or Mac?

Just to let you know, I'll provide the Product Specifications. Click on the supported paper handling, and then click Envelopes supported. You may have noticed the A2 if not supported.

If you have a Mac computer, you can create a custom within this guideline size: (3.0 to 13.0 inches) wide and (5.0 to 44.0 inches) long. I'll give you a document from HP on create paper formats in Windows 7, Windows 8, and Mac OS X.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. Have a great day!

    @Lancer3

Welcome to the HP Forums, it's a great place to get help, find answers and advice,
Thanks for posting your request, I'll be more than happy to help you

If I understand correctly the printer to scan does not work after the recent update of the Sierra,

Don't worry, even if the following document does not mention Sierra, the Apple article will guide you through the steps to scan through

I also suggest to use the Apple Scan while you wait for the HP software update. You can use the link below to confirm that your printer is still compatible with your operating system: software of the printer and scanner for macOS Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, and the Mavericks.

  • Unable to connect to the printer via IP address

I changed my ISP (internet service provider) and therefore changed routers - now unable to connect to the printer.
I put a static IP address on my HP Photosmart B110a printer before we changed to ISP because there are connection problems. When we were setup to the ISP again, we are unable to connect to the printer, such as the printers IP 192.168.1.12
The new network ISP IP range is 192.168.0.xx and printers address IP is out of the network.
I can print via the USB cable but I can't return to my printers GUI by entering 192.168.1.12 return the printer back from the static IP address.
A hard reset for this printer would be appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    Hello
I solved the problem. The answer was staring face heres so my solution for someone who has had similar problems.
I didn't dig up the old router that affects the 192.168.1.xx IP network and then connected my PC, connected my printer then connected printers user interface through the static IP address, I assigned earlier. Changed to automatic IP. Connected my new router (which assigns the IP addresses of 192.168.0.xx) to my PC and printer. Everything is now OK.
    Thank you.

I had this printer for some time but have never been able to properly print to this printer using this specific computer.   FYI, I'm trying to print wireless at it. This office has wireless compatibility.  I have the drivers and all (I think, I HP everything at the time but not the disk that came with it I lost only).  Don't know why it fails, he said only: "unable to connect to the printer.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi aunt Shirley.

First of all, we're going to connect the printer to the network:

-Restore default values of network within the menu on the front panel of the printer wireless.
-From your computer, connect wirelessly to the network printer (it should be a name similar to HP - Setup - xx - Deskjet 3510).
-After successfully connecting to the printer, open a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Chrome and type 192.168.223.1 in the address bar and press ENTER.
-Click on the Wireless Setup Wizard
-Select your router and enter the password to connect to the printer to the router.

Run again the printer software to your computer to rediscover the printer on the network.

  • Unable to connect to my printer - operation failed with error 0x00000002

My printer was working with my laptop via a wireless network. Now I can't print or connect to my printer. I'm always connected to the network, but I can't connect to the printer. When I try to add it, I can see the name of the printer and I select it, but I get the error "Windows cannot connect to the printer" [operation failed with error 0x00000002]. I changed from Windows Vista to Windows 7, several months ago, but I don't know if that makes a difference (I think I used printer at least once since I change). Help, please.

Ive had the same problem.  Win7 - 64 bit tries to connect to a printer on another pc win7 64-bit.

"Unable to connect to the printer.
    "error code 0x00000002".

    what worked for me:
Right click on computer, select Manage
Click on "services and applications", then click on 'services '.
Scroll down to "print spooler", right click and select "Properties".
Click 'STOP' service, and then click on 'START' service.

Start the "Add printer" Wizard and it worked, yay!

  • Great printer Officejet 7500 a Format to connect intermittently to the computer via the wireless network

I have a portable printer Officejet 7500 has recently purchased that I would use wireless.  I have an Apple wireless router and am running Windows 7 on my computer.  The printer and computers individually connect to the network, and there is no problem with the router.  The problem is with the connection between the computer and the printer.  I can print things from my computer by sending a file to the printer, but sometimes it works through printing directly from the software.  I tried to scan my computer and the printer, but get the same error at the same time that there is no communication between the printer and the computer.  I suspect that it is a firewall problem, but do not know how to change the settings to allow this communication to occur.  I have the windows firewall and advanced software protective system, but have disabled the windows shield in this software.  Help?

First of all, download and run this utility:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&jumpid=ex_r4155/hho/ipg/ccdoc/printer_diag/&lang=en&softwareitem=oj-106151-2

    What did he say?

Just to be clear, that the 7500 a is connected to the Airport via radio, correct (not USB)?

If so, we will define an external static IP and DNS address for the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). Yours is 10.0.1.2 a.200.  We use 10.0.1.220 for your printer.
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.
