  I'm trying to implement my Officejet Pro 8600 more scan to a network under OSX Lion folder.  I have correctly set up the printer otherwise (and can scan and flown from my Mac).  I created SMB sharing as described in the documentation.  My only question is what to enter in the Web server of the printer when it asks for the network path of the shared folder.

  This just started happening in the last two weeks. Whenever I have to SCAN using the ADF, a black line runs from top to bottom. I cleaned the glass to the left of the flat glass and cleaned the white strip above the glass on top of the printer that opens. The community has it any other suggestions or experience with this issue? The printer is about 2 years old.  Thank you!

  Recently noticed that the characteristics and the scanning process have changed in my Officject 6700 Premium. The only way I can access scan now is by going to devices and printers in the Control Panel, right click on the printer icon and select Start Analysis. Not a problem for scan unless I want to scan a document in PDF format, which one is not an option for that anywhere. In the new scan dialog, if I select Documents in the profile, my only File Type options are image - jpg, png, bmp and tif files. There seems to be whatever for a PDF, or he is hiding it well.

  I updated my drivers and software on my 8600 premium. It is configured with the letter on the Board higher and legal tray 2. I have two computers, printing to this printer, one running Windows 7 (64-bit) and one running Windows 8.1 (64-bit). Same problem with computers. The problem is when I print a document of several bin page 2 it will be white pages of the plateau one interleave. The impression I get is - printed letter legal, Virgin, printed letter, legal, etc. It started just after the update. I have had this printer for about 2 years and I love it, but it becomes a problem.

  YUO must ensure that you have the FULL features software installed first and then turn on computer scanning.

  If you have not installed the software FULL of features, the following resources will help you:

  How to scan to computer
  
  Once you have installed the software:
  
  1. click the printer (on your desktop) and it will bring up the HP printer Assistant.
  2. in the menu analyze, there is a 'manage Scan to Computer', click on that.
  3 make sure you have "Enable" Scan of the computer. Also, make sure that the tab "automatically start Scan of the computer when I connect Windows" is checked if you want to perpetuate this feature. (the following video will show you how)

  If it does not, we suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the software features FULL.

  I read on the fax number you are having and I personally would say the troubleshooting guide below for you. The guide check all connections fax, settings, etc..

  Can't send or receive faxes

  Also, check and update the firmware if necessary: having the latest Firmware and product updates

  Had to replace a 8600 printer. Added the new device, but analysis wouldn't work on the second computer, nor the HP application would launch. Tried to reinstall the driver but it fails stating that he cannot remove the old device. In the case of the Viewer, it displays an error 25024. I tried to install from the CD & download.
