HP Officejet Pro 6830 E3E02A: HP Officejet Pro 6830 scan via web control panel

Hello, I just bought the printer, and I tried to configure the analysis via the web control panel.

When I tried to scan, I got the message:

"You can't use this feature because it has been disabled. For more information, contact your network administrator or the person who set up the printer. »

Given that I'm the one who created the printer and I am the network administrator in my house, there is not one that I can talk to

I tried to find permissions in the printer itself, but I couldn't find anything.

Can you help me configure the scanning to any computer that connects to the control panel (only designed connected to the wifi can do anyway is safe)

Thanks, Lidor

Hello

Please specify what you are looking for to WebScan.

Here is the procedure to activate Webscan (you are almost there to implement!),

First, we assume that your printer is installed over the network (whether via a wireless or Ethernet connection)

  1. Go to your printer and to determine the IP address of the printer for example 15.37.213.128
  2. The priner key IP address in your Internet Explorer browser
  3. Go to sweep, there should be an option Webscan. If it says "you cannot use this function...". ", you will need to enable it.
  4. Activation of the Webscan: Click on 'Settings' > 'Security' > 'Administrator settings' (simply 'continue' if there are any warnings about certificates, you may need to click on "Advanced" to continue)
  5. Under 'Settings administrator', it should be a "Webscan' option, be sure to what is"checked"and"Apply"or"Save"your settings.
  6. Go back to perform a scan and you should be able to see the Scan options. Select "Document Source" to be "ADF", PDF "Type of Document' and 'start scanning '! (You can also select "Document Source" to be "JPEG")
  7. Once scanning is complete, right-click and save your file in the destination of your choice.

Here is a relevant video showing how Webscan is done, you are right in saying Webscan can be used in any OS, the video example uses Chrome for example:

  • HP Officejet 4500 G510n Scan via airport utility?

How can I get my HP Officejet 4500 G510n to perform a SCAN using airport utility?

Airport utility is not related to operating an MFP. It there is no scan via airport utility function or any what router airport. That is, the printer must be connected through its network and NO USB connection to the router. What is the Airport base station is the printer is simply a network client. No printer function any is active via the airport.

You must install the drivers HP and the complete software for any OS that you are running on your computer.

It's the HP drivers and software that will allow you to scan over network. Or if NOT, maybe... often scanning on network is problematic.

  • Inkjet Pro 8620: printer not displayed Control Panel

Allows to print from my computer to the printer - print & scan done doctor scan, service scan ok - printer power button (will stop not to when you press on)-made sliding your finger on the screen (from right to left).  Where should I go from here?

    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I hope that you are well @Help44,

I understand that your Officejet 8620 does not turn off when you press and hold the power button, and I wanted to tender hand for help.

My suggestion would be to try a power reset the printer, and then make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet to start. If this does not help, try checking for a firmware update. If all else fails, call telephone support to see about a replacement with HP unit. Here are all the links to help!

    Reset:

With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  • Satellite Pro M70: missing driver ATI Control Panel / no sound

    Hello

I am new to this place and do not really understand all the numbers and stuff it in the post. So I'll try to be as simple as possible. I m seen real trouble finding a solution online and my driver recovery disks have disappeared (I think I know where they are and hopefully get them back), but id really like to fix this as soon as possible, no music at all becomes boring!

  • HP Officejet 4620: The buttons on my control panel do not work

So I bought my printer used from a friend, he has been working well, but I had some problems:

    1. the buttons on the control panel have not worked

    2. I'll make a message pop up on the screen that says "infringement or used (s), the original HP of ink in one or more.." and I can't read the rest of the message because I have to scroll down, but the buttons do not work.

I tried to look in the user manual, but I did find something that can help me.  I am a student and need to use my printer almost every day so it was very stressful. Any help would be wonderful!

    Hello @Ellie33,

    Thank you for writing back.

Glad to know that you fixed the ink of related issues. If you still encounter display problems, it could be more likely a hardware failure with the machine.

I would contact HP tech support to create a service if the printer is under warranty. Alternatively, you can call technical support so that the good options to upgrade, you can benefit if your printer is already out of warranty.

You can visit http://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp and fill in the details of your product to get the tech support number.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 6830 - scan to network?

    Hello

Anyone know if it is possible to set up scan to network folder/path directly using the Officejet Pro 6830? The option does not appear on the printer control panel and requires the computer to be turned on in order and this option for the analysis to cross successfully.

If not, are there plans to add this feature in a new version of s/w?

    Thank you

    Breleur

    HI Sylvain,.

The model HP Offiecjet 6830 Pro does not support scanning to a network shared folder.

For series Officejet Pro 8600 Officejet series manages this type of functionality, not the 6800 series.

I highly doubt such a feature will become supported in the future...

You can check the scanning to E-mail option of the printer, such only require the printer to connect to the network and need not the PC can be powered on:

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 scans appear in white

    Hello

My HP Officejet Pro 8600 scan correctly, either from the document feeder or the dish. The scans appear almost totally blank, although some weak contours are barely visible along the top. Two computers use the scanner (Mac OS X 10.6.8 and 10.7.5) and both have the same problem. Any suggestion would be great!

    Hi ABverr,

A hard reset can solve this problem.  To do this, unplug the power cord at the back of the printer when the printer is still on.  Unplug the other end of the power cord.  After 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet, and then plug it into the back of the printer.  Try a scan.

If this does not help, I linked a document with measures to correct the problems of quality of scanning.  Click here

If the problems persist, you can download and run printing HP and doctor Scan.  Click here  Let me know the results.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 - Scan to computer

    Hello

I recently bought a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600. Installation and configuration was successful. However, every minute or two, I get a notification of ball on the Windows task bar that says "Scan to computer do not enabled." I assume that this occurs because the printer is turned off after entering a sleep mode is not used for a specific period of time. I could be wrong about this, of course. But assuming that I'm not wrong, my question is how can I disable that irritating notifcation to appear every minute?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    1. open the control panel and write "Notification area icons" in the search:

    2. the Notification area options appears and select the option that says ""ScantoPCActivation " "

    3. Select the option that says 'Hide icon and notifications'.

    • Click OK to close the window.

I hope that these steps will help you.

  • HP OfficeJet 8600 Premium: Scanning to the desktop

    Hello

I use the HP OfficeJEt 8600 Premium and I would add three computers to the scan function, so when I scan a document, I can choose the computer I would like to than the scan-to-file.

I would like to know how to configure the folder so that it scans a folder on the desktop, titled 'Scans' against the 'Document' default folder.

Today, I spent a few hours playing with it, following the instructions on the forum and further research on google. I could program to scan to computer 1.

I then changed the name of the computer, somewhere in the HP Scan Utility preferences... then on the touch screen of the printer performs, under scan > not scan to computer, NO computer has appeared.

I would like if anyone can break it down for me. How can I program it to allow all 3 computers connected wirelessly, to receive scans to their individual workstations. ALL 3 are Mac.

    SECOND-

I want to program this tray 1 can be white paper and tray 2, letterhead. Have not spent time on it yet, but would love if anyone knows.

    Thank you

    Hi @cass321,

I can certainly help you to scan to your computer and edit your destination folder. I understand that you do not want you can scan all 3 of your computers when you scan from the front panel of the printer. Please take a look on the following document, you can find frequently asked questions particularly useful: HP Officejet Pro 8600 Series printer - scanner to a computer, email, memory device, or network folder.

What about using it the 2nd test paper for paper replacement types, please take a look on the following document, I suspect it will answer questions you might have: HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer series (N911) - setting up the printer to print and copy of tray 1 and tray 2.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I'd be happy to offer further assistance, thank you.
