HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless: Unable to print labels on my HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless color inkjet printer

Hello Forum,

I don't want to appear redundant, however, I always have the same problem, cannot print on different media (for example. Labels, Matt / glossy papers, etc.) other than plain white paper. As I said in my original post (below), I tried different settings, different programs, etc., without any result. The printer does that pass through without printing media, leaving the error / blinking yellow light.

I believe that this printer is able to manage different media other than paper white just to 'stick '. Again, I ask your help to solve this problem. It is and has been, very frustrating trying to overcome this restriction of printing!

Thank you all!

(Original post)

I can't get my HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless inkjet color printer to print CD / DVD labels. I have tried various printer / paper options but the printer just feeds the media (in this case 'Fellows' brand matte CD 2-top) then spits it right back with result error amber light flashing.

Printing has a sensor that determines if the paper is loaded and feeding properly into the printer.  If you print on media that is colored or printed features we can confuse the sensor.

One thing to try - cut a strip of the sticky part of a post-it note maybe 1 "wide by 1/4".  Attach it to the top left of the sheet of labels on the side to be printed, the long side on the short side of the paper.  This will then put face down into the printer, with the band on the upper right of the tray paper.  After printing, you can remove it and reuse it for the next page.

    Hi @WilliamLi,

    Thank you for joining the Forums of HP Support!

    I noticed that you are unable to print from your email to your HP Officejet 4650 printer accounts. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

    Gmail, Yahoo, and SmarterMail are web-based email clients which means that they are using a Web browser.

    It seems that the printer is not selected in the print dialog box. Please ensure that you select your printer. Otherwise, it could use a PDF or Microsoft OneNote Driver, printer etc.

    Are you able to print from MS Word, Notepad, or WordPad?

    In the meantime, I would reset the settings of your browser to see if that solves the problem.

    Reset the settings of your Internet Explorer browser

    1. Close all Internet Explorer Windows or Explorer Windows that are currently open.

    2. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.

    3. Click Tools and then click Internet Options.

    4. Click on the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.

    5. Select the check box delete personal settings if you want to delete the browsing history, search providers, accelerators, home pages, and InPrivate filtering data.

    6. In the reset Internet Explorer settings dialog, click Reset.

  • OfficeJet 7500 a printers are unable to print on envelopes of standard size European

    To try to resolve the problem of HP sells printers Officejet 7500 has in Europe when they are unable to print on envelopes of European standard sizes, (they only sizes us and we cannot but american size wrapped in Europe. - in Europe, we use the European sizes) and seams that no one at HP gives a dam. They just continue to sell them knowing that they do not work. They will be a reminder of the same put an end to sell them in Europe until they fix this software.

    Hi Kyle, I am on OSX 10.8.4 and tried to pring DL and C5 envelopes, he has not had these listed in the options, I went for the custom size option and the DL, I put in 220 X 110 mm and the printer has always rejected the size of the paper (envelope). HP argues that only American sizes are available to print on this model and I should have air in the specification before buying. However, I belieave that if they sell 1, thousands of these printers in Europe then I probally won't be the only one wanting to print the address on a standard envelope. HP argues that they have not to add the software to print envelopes Europeans to the driver as they do with all their other printers because with what is a printer large format people would use it for plans etc. and not for the envelopes. It is stupid, even if you don't have it used to print a plan, then you need to always print letters and mail these letters into envelopes, reason for which only have American sizes of envelopes on printers that are sold on the European market. They say that nothing can be done and we need to get the printer to the provider. I say that someone at HP should add the European dimension of the software for the driver that the printer is capable, it is a great printer, just the driver software, he drops.

  • HP OfficeJet 4635: Unable to print from JO 4635

    Today, out of the blue, the unit has stopped printing. The message "the i o operation was abandoned because either a thread exit" returns constantly to each application, I tried.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver at least 3 times in the last hours. The same problem. I run HP printing and the doctor to analyze several times and each time I'm unable to print the TestPage. I didn't choose the "no print" and the internal test page was printed, but a warning indicates that there is some sort of problem with the driver.

    Any help with this? New ideas on how to fixit?

  • Unable to print Windows Live mail

    I just installed a new printer HP Deskjet 8600 Pro and am now unable to print the e-mail.  My sysrtem of operating is Windows 7 and I followed all the instructions in the installation of the printer.  I have the indication that the printer receives the wireless signal.  When I try to print an e-mail all I get is the

    e-mail message header.  The printer will print a website

    Two other suggestions.
    Search your computer for any virus/malware completely. This site has some good information and instructions.
    http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/malware-removal-Guide/

    You can also consider walking to IE 8.
    Start > Control Panel > programs and features > installed updates > select IE 9, then uninstall.

    Note: If you have installed SP1 after IE9 has been installed you must first uninstall it. If SP1 has been installed first, you should be good to go (I did several times).

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

    Sorry to hear that you are experiencing printing problems.

    Try to restart your apple device - it's a simple solution that sometimes allows to restore the connection to the printer.

  • Photosmart D5160 with Windows 7; Unable to print on CD/DVD

    I installed my Photosmart D5160 on my new HPE180t.  I used the "HP Photosmart and Deskjet full feature software and drivers" for Windows 7 64-bit.  Before, with Windows XP and HP Photosmart first, I was able to print on a CD/DVD.  Now, HP Photosmart Essential replaced HP Photosmart first, and I'm unable to print on CD/DVD.

    This same question was also documented on this forum, but no resolution found: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Install-and/Photosmart-D5160/m-p/154007/highlight/tr...

    I chatted with HP Technical Support online and they had me install Roxio Express Labeler for Windows Vista and run it in compatibility mode.  The result was that I was able to print on a CD/DVD, but the image has been moved to the top.  HP technical support said that I should buy a third-party CD/DVD printing software and they suggested call me Nero to determine what software to use.

    My questions:

    1. is this a known problem, the fact that the D5160 impossible to print on CD/DVD with Photosmart Essential and Windows 7?

    2. If someone has had this problem, what do you do to solve the problem?

    3. Another option would be to buy a new HP printer that prints on CD/DVD?  If so, what printer?

    Thank you very much

    ``````````````````````````````````````````
    old computer: HP Pavilion PU131AV / a1050y, Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.20 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Windows XP MCE, SP3 32-bit, Nvidia GeForce 6600
    new computer: HPE-180 t, Windows 7 Pro (64 bit), Nvidia GeForce GT 220, Intel Core i7 - 930 quad-core CPU @ 2.80 GHz, 8 GB of RAM
    That's what I did to solve my problem:
    1. buy a HP Photosmart D7560 h
    2 use Windows Photo Viewer to print on CD/DVD
    Note 1: The only way to buy the HP Photosmart D7560 h through HP's through its "upgrade" program, because this printer is no longer available via the HP shopping site.  Do NOT buy the D7560 h through the 'upgrade' of HP program because you will receive a refurbished printer.  After talking with the resolution of HP service, they advised me to buy this printer to a retailer who sells this printer yet.  I bought my new HP Photosmart D7560 h from newegg.com.
    Note 2: This printer (D7560 h) also uses the HP Photosmart Essential 3.5 when you use Windows 7, like the HP D5160.  When I installed the EP 3.5 and only had a printer is installed (as opposed to a printer and scanner HP), the 3.5 HP allow for printing on CD/DVD via the HP Solution Center.  The problem (not being able to print on CD/DVD via PE 3.5) occurred when I plugged in and installed my HP Scanjet G4050 scanner, which also uses the HP Solution Center.
    Note 3: I believe tha the D5160 could work with Windows 7.  It may be able to print on a CD/DVD, if you do not have an another printer/scanner HP device installed on your computer.  It may be able to print on a CD/DVD using the Windows Photo Viewer.
    Note 4: To replace the cartridges of 5 ink (XL) on the HP Photosmart D7560 h, it costs a total of $115.
    Let me know if you have any other questions.  Bottom line... I am able to print on CD/DVD with the D7560 h on Windows 7 operating system but I don't have to use the Photo of Windows display program.
    Take care
  • Unable to print on printer hp Touchpad
    OK, I spent a few days to review the forums, support hp and everything I could think of short of new material.
    I have a HP Photomsmart 7515 who refuses to print wireless. I can add manually the ip address of my windows 7 computer get wireless printing is going. However, my problem lies in the fact that I do most of my impression from my phone via the wireless HP, Touchpad, and Iphone application. They all say the same thing, unable to communicate with the printer. What I did to try to fix the problem is to reset router and printer the two settings by default, I also changed my network name and password. Once back on the network, I printed the test page, a number of times, each time after resetting the router and network on the printer's default restore.
    I know that I have a network connectivity because I can manually via the touch screen attached to the printer, download an application online and print a coloring book page if I want to or card mailing. The test page tells me that everything is online:
    802.11 wireless
    Network - ready status
    connection type active - wireless
    status - connected
    mode of Communicaton - infrastructure
    quality of the signal (1-5) - 5
    kind of AUTHENCATION - wpa - psk
    encryption (aes or tkip) automatica
    Port 9100 - activated
    Hello - activated
    slp status - active
    discovery of WS - active
    print the WS - active
    additional aspects,: I can't from my laptop, arrive at the url http://192.168.1.2 printer
    Yet once I am simply unable to print wireless, and I do not see this question that arises around the site.
    I have a router netgear N600, time warner 20 GB. Please help if you can.
    Thank you for your time and effort to help solve my printer problem.
    The real cause was do to the firmware on the router upgrade. This causes the Hello from NOT properly answering devices with in the same network on the router. Work around (until firmware completely updated correctly) is to use the sister network to allow your devices to wireless on your router.
    This means: NetGear and NetGear2 can communicate. As well as comments from NetGear and NetGear comments 2. The only problem I found this work around solution is that some devices don't recognize all the networks. Aka the HP printer and the Iphone don't recognize the principal name from the main network, that's why they still do NOT communicate. Hope this helps explain what's happening essentially and helps others solve their printer problems. Thanks to HP, supported.
  • Unable to print black and white with an empty cartridge
    My printer will not print not black-and-white, except when a color cartridge is replaced empty.
    How can I print black with an empty color in place cartridge?
    Some IIC (individual ink cartridge) printers have print heads that require ink available for periodic maintenance tasks. This avoids problems with hooves in the print head and the bad print quality. The following printers are unable to print when a cartridge is empty, even if the other cartridges.
    If one or more color ink cartridges are low but not empty and you want to minimize the use of color ink, you can change the settings in the HP software to print in black ink only (grey levels). Even if you change the print settings to print in black ink only, the other ink cartridges still have ink in them so that the printer to print.
    If you choose to print in black ink only, the printer always uses small amounts of ink from all cartridges for occasional maintenance tasks. HP recommends to replace the low ink cartridges in order to avoid any interruption in printing.
    Ian,
    When you want to print, what happens when you press on and hold the Ctrl key? By pressing the Ctrl will usually allow the popup which would be blocked, to happen.
    Press in and hold the Ctrl key, then click on your was to print.
