HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 909 a - error B87126D0

Receiving an error code of B87126D0 for HP 8500 wireless printer.  Printer will not turn off or restart properly.  Goes into a loop of full automatic test and finally clearly isn't the problem.  Conducted several hard resets, power disconnects and other troubleshooting steps, but they do not clearly the problem... The printer screen says "Turn off and then back on.  The following lights are flashing: phone (auto answer)! , blue wireless symbol and the power button.  Keyboard / function keys allow for the entrance - the only button that responds is the power button which translates the same loop long selftest.

Hi @teebone22,.

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your printer HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909a and get the error B87126D0.

Plug the power supply directly to a wall outlet works. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge arrester, or secondary power source. Like that might be the cause of the error.

Here is a link to the HP print and Scan doctor. HP print and Scan Doctor performs a check of your system and check the firmware of the printer.

Here is a document on the error codes and their meanings. First Solution: reset the product

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 909 a-. do not reset ink level

Hi, I have an officejet pro 8500 and I have a problem has a simple solution, I hope! I put it in a new black 940XL high capacity cartridge anhd the LCD screen on the printer and the solution center monitor always shows an explaination (!) mark. This indicates that the ink is close to finishing. In the HP Solution Center, it also shows that the ink level is very low. I can only assume that the printer still think it's the old cartridge. Is there a way that it can be reset, so the printer recognizes that it has a full cartridge?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Ian

Ok! In desperation I put in another cartridge and everything works.

Obviously some kind of flaw with the cartridge. I'll take it back to the store when I can

    Thanks anyway

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 'in paper' error message

Someone had the same problem?  Brand new printer, but continue to receive the same message 'in paper' after a few cycles of impression - even though the bin is full.  I take the paper and the restacks.  Usually works after that, but never fails to do it again.  Same paper that I use in all other printers - Xerox.  Good quality.  The problem seems to be that the rolls are not delivered in the paper in the tray.  I went to Costco, it's the second printer - same problem.  Any ideas to fix? Very frustrating.

What does not and has worked for me... Partial Reset, printer replacement, different paper, fanning and otherwise setting paper, parameters, all did not help.  However, cleaning the paper feed rollers tray up to fix the problem.  My first camera was not often, but I was too stubborn to clean the rollers on a new printer.  The second unit was very bad, fails on almost every multi-page print job.  What is strange is that the first sheet feed almost always correctly and the second sheet or later version doesn't have to feed, which suggests a software problem (vs dirty rollers).  After a lot of time in Chat with HP, I finally gave and clean the paper feed rollers tray and power (so far) problems disappeared.  Cleaning was not as strong an I thought it might be.  I used a damp lint and feel achieved in forward into the cavity of the paper tray and wiped the rolls through several rounds of each.  I really hope that this is the solution because it is a very nice printer otherwise.

I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 (909 a) that connects wireless as well to the Terminal Airport and the MacBook Pro, but when you try to print from the MacBook Pro (running OS X Tiger 10.4.11), MacBook Pro print job displays a message "printer is busy, try again in 30 seconds".  Network is configured with DHCP router 10.0.1.1 (gateway) with printer to 10.0.1.2 and MacBook Pro to 10.0.1.3.  MacBook Pro can traceroute and ping gateway and printer, the network printer in the test passes.  HP software is installed and running by USB cable between the printer and the laptop.  No idea why the print job hangs after running?  HP printer was installed from preferences Print & Fax as an IPP printer.

  • Mini 110 and driver OfficeJet Pro 8500 wireless

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8500 909 g installed a few months, and it works very well with three laptops from Dell and a Dell desktop computer using the wireless connection.  Then, I bought an HP Mini 110 and tried to install the drivers for the 8500 from the disk provided with the 8500.  During the system check that the installer has determined that the screen resolution of 1024 x 576 of the Mini 110 was insufficient and demanded a screen resolution pass at 800 x 600.  Tried installing online - same problem w / ground 1024 x 576.  Got in a chat online with an HP technician - it offered to download and install the HP DeskJet 990c driver and gave me clear instructions on how to do so, claiming that he was 'the solution '.  While I am has not opposed in principle to 'the solution', I asked too many questions and either it bailed out put or the session has expired.

    The questions are:

    (1) the 990 c driver is actually a viable solution?  Some other threads I've read indicate that "mixing and matching" printers and drivers can have unexpected and unwanted results.

    (2) I've read how to 'force' a change of screen resolution of 800 x 600, which probably (?) will I would install the 8500 drivers - but what happens if I change the sdcreen back to 1024 x 576 ground?  The ration of aspect printer or the print size or appearance get all messed up?

    (3) why does it matter even the resolution of the screen?  Is it a question of WYSIWYG?  If it does so then 1024 x 576 ground is going to be a problem w / almost any printer, is not?

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Don

The software requires a minimum of 800 x 600 resolution so that the HP software can be completely visible on the screen. If the vertical resolution is less than 600, then there is a chance of the window not being is not completely visible, and so you may have problems using the scanner software. Follow the document below to force the resolution to 800 x 600 temporarily to install the software. Once you change the resolution back to the native, the software will work, but the window CAN be cut and not be entirely visible.

  • OfficeJet pro 8500 a: error Surface pro 3 when printing on HP printers

I bought a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 to replace my laptop. I loved except that I can't have the network printer as my old laptop. Because I'm stuck using your printer app, it has been a disaster. I get the error messages. The application can not find my documents, and then I get the error messages. Documents are partially printed, or I get a message that the printer is offline. Y at - it a patch or fix for this problem?

    Hello @manon1,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you are experiencing problems printing from your Surface Pro 3.

    I would like to help.

What I learned from the series Surface Pro, is that they are running a full version of the windows operating system.

This means that unlike the RT versions, you can install the software.

You should be able to install the same software that you can install on a laptop or desktop computer.

This would make it so that you don't need to use the application.

When I run the install disc for the Officejet Pro 8500 wireless, or through wireless or USB, when installation gets to 23% I get an error message not valid drive F: /. I have tried everything to fix this problem and searched many hours, but none of the fixes worked. There is no F drive on the laptop (older hp Pavilion). In fact, there are only the drives C and D. • Cannot fax Officejet Pro 8500 A909g; was recently sold by Verizon to switch to FIOS digital telephony

    Hello

Recently switched to FIOS digital voice service. I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g. Y at - it a patch or other difficulty that I can use to send a fax? Receives errors in communication since going digital.

    Thank you

    Michael

Fax is STILL an analog service, he may be able to work for DSL or VOIP, but it is never a guarantee. Unfortunately, there are no fixes, updated or newer models that will change this.

You can try to contact Verizon to see if they have filters or suggestions, but it can never work with a digital line.

I know it's frustrating, but there is not much that can be done. You can watch are E-fax to the square or a secondary analog line.
