HP Officejet Pro 8500 all-in-One Incompatible with D-Link Wireless N 300 Router?

We have upgraded to a new D-Link Wireless N 300 Router and have consulted successfully the router using the key to safety with two cell phones and a desktop based ethernet but am getting an error "password WPA not valid" when you use the Wireless Setup Wizzard of the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless all-in-One.  We have administrator access rights to the D-Link router using the desktop computer but not sure what to change.  We have restored factory on the 8500 and am not sure what next step to take to try to get it connected.

New technology of security of this router is not compatible with the all-in-one series 8500 or y at - it fixation or modification which could be considered to get this connected with the new router?

This problem has been resolved.  We 'Restored default network' in the network menu of the 8500, however, we needed "Restore Factory Defaults" in the Tools menu that solved the problem and allowed us to use the wireless configuration Wizzard correctly.

I just upgraded to Windows 8. My HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 all-in-One printer works fine, but the scanner won't. I get an error message that says: cannot find the scanner. What can I do to correct this situation? HP has a driver that works with Windows 8?

Did you uninstall this printer before the upgrade to Windows 8?

If not, then I uninstall the software for the 8500 A910 and reinstall with the drivers up to date.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 All in one – disappear from the HP Solution Center guard

    Background:

I have two HP all-in-one devices, at the office of one while a 8500 A909a and at home and Officejet 7310 all in one.

My Dell laptop running Windows 7 Professional 32 Bit.

I had the laptops and printers for several years, the two were connected through connectiosn fine wired via routers with printing/scanning also up and running by the HP Solution Center.

If I work in the office and he wanted to scan a document I woul open Solution Center and left two printers would come to the top. I could click on the installed 8500 in the office and it worked fine. Even if I was at home I opened Solution Center, click the 7310 and could very well sweep.

    Problem:

In recent weeks the 8500 keeps disappearing from the HP Solution Center. He still appears in Control Panel and other applictaiosn of windows like Word and I can print again, BUT not is more visible in the solution Center.

I load the installation of the driver software (recently downloaded from the website of HP, file name OJP8500vA909_Full_14 (1)) and charging/install the 8500. It takes about 20 minutes to make. The 8500 appears then, but with a suffix like Officejet 8500 (7) after him in the solution Center.

I can scan then very well but the next day when I start and get to the center of the Solution, it has disappeared again. It's infuriating and wastes a lot of time.

Please tell us what can I do to load the correct software once and for all for allowing me to use two printers without them disappearing from the solution Center.

    Thanks in advance.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6978 all-in-one: OfficeJet Pro 6978 / will not download drivers

I just bought this printer Office Jet Pro 6978, All In One Printer.  It won't let me download the driver listed in the steps to implement, it fails every time.  I tried to use the CD that came with it, it gave me a message "this computer's operating system is not supported."   So this printer will not work on my 64-bit?  Or elsewhere?  My computer is a HP.  Where can I find a download driver for this printer for my operating system?  When it prints, it prints a nonsense.  % beginprolog % beginresource: file and so on with such things.  I am at a loss... Any help would be great.

    Hello

Sorry, but the printer is not supported on Windows Vista 64-bit.

64-bit support is only available in Windows 7 or later operating systems.

You can find the printer specs below:

    Vista 64-bit is not supported.

You must upgrade your operating system to a later version to use instead an OS 64 - bit, Windows Vista 32 - bit to insall or replace it with another printer, compatible with your operating system.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 all-in-One connected as network printer loses connection

In December 2011, I bought a HP Officejet Pro 8600 all-in-One to replace an Officejet 6500 as my network printer home. The 6500 worked very well on my cable, but his screen did not, I tried some of the features offered by the 8600 and I got a good price on a new warehouse of BJ. I have the 8600 connected via ethernet (not wireless), with a static IP address. All my computers on the network are running Windows XP Pro SP3 and are up-to-date with Microsoft updates. However, from one day to the next my 8600 will lose connectivity scan (Scan of the computer shows it as being disabled on all my computers at the same time, and I can't reconnect), and if I do not have anything he'll (as in a few hours) also lose connectivity impression. The only way to restore connectivity is to uninstall the HP Officejet Pro 8600 device software basis of all computers, and then reinstall the printer. I had a phone conversation and two debates with HP Technical Support; They suggested that the problem is in the firewall on the computers (but if that were the case I don't think that the loss of connectivity would occur on all computers at the same time), the IP address setting (doesn't make sense) and the printer driver is not not the latest version. I tried all the suggestions, and none of them have solved the problem. The last counselor "has raised the issue to the next level", which proved to be a Manager with no technical expertise and his only suggestion was that I have to return the printer to the merchant. I think the problem is the firmware in the printer (which, according to the 'update' on the printer option, is the latest version). Any other suggestions or experience?

After a lot of research and find the settings that I did not know that Windows XP offered, I found that the following appear to have solved the problem I've known - at least the printer is now operational for more than 48 hours without losing printing or scan connection. Here are the steps I used:

    1. Start Control Panel  connections network and Internet

    2. Choose "network connections."

    3. Right click on "connect to the Local network.

    4. Choose "Properties".

    5. In the top window is the name of the Ethernet computer connection port, select "Configure" next to this window

    6. Select the tab labeled 'Power Management'

    7. Uncheck the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

    8. Select the "Advanced" tab

    9. Select the entry "power saving Mode".

    10. If this entry is set to change 'On' to 'Off '.

    11. Select 'OK', and then close the windows that were opened

I have an Officejet Pro L7580 all-in-one.  How do I know how many copies the machine made?

    Dragon-fur (unusual name!)

Thanks again for your suggestions, which led me to the answer.

Looking more closely at the options in the HP Solution Center, which I thought I had already exhausted, I followed these links - settings, print settings, the Toolbox for printer, information, reviews, myprintmileage, source, which led me to the total number of pages, number of total jobs and many other information, which, apparently, is monitored by HP.

Thanks for the clues get me there.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 All in one – elbows / folds document

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 all in one. I've used it for almost a year and recently when I print on plain paper my doc over dating a turn on paper. The elbow is always in the same place, 2 1/2 "from the top of the page. The crumpled section is about 1/2 "in length. Impression of quality and all the rest is good.

I printed a few pamphlets with this printer using heavy paper for brochure of gasoline that does not bend like my regular stock. Any ideas.

I have the same problem, but just behind the box!
IT IS SHAMEFUL! The printer is practically unusable!

    Sometimes it shredded paper!

The printer driver is also very basic, compared to Canon for example.
On top of that, it does not save the changes to your settings,
We have to bury in the HP software!

Also, the printer is unable to make a copy without border.

And last but not least the printing quality is very poor.
my printer Canon does better printed with generic ink...

It is also large and noisy.

    I completely regret my purchase.
I can't even sell it now as it's deffective.

  • My HP Officejet Pro L7680 all-in-one will not print blue but my ink level is fine.

My HP Officejet Pro L7680 all-in-one will not print blue but my ink level is fine.  I tried aligning the printheads and clean the print heads, but still does not work.  Help!

  • Cannot get the HP Solution Center to load for officejet pro L7590 all-in-one printer

Unable to get the HP Solution Center to load. Have an officejet pro L7590 all-in-one connected wireless (through the router) on my new computer Windows 8 but had to deceive it calling it a direct connection.

I have a new computer with Windows 8.  I managed to get my HP officejet pro all-in-one L7590 printer connected and working with software downloaded from HP.  During installation it placed an icon on my desktop (the old format disktop I love) to the center of HP solutions, but when I try to open the Solution Center a message indicates that the installation is not complete.  When I try to install more software it brings back me to the orginal installation and indicates that the device is already installed.

I want to clarify again once my choice of installation was directly connected even if it is wireless via a router.  It was the only way I could make it work.

The Network Configuration page was just that you will find the IP address, but you have this.  It is not as important now.  Now that I've shown you a method to help you analyze let us begin the process is not easy to get the Solution Center works again.

I was very happy to find an official document on your computer Windows 8 and the solution Center.  I think this should help you when you select your operating system on this page.  It is titled "The scanning device estintrouvable and other related errors" and will be a little better explain what you need to try to get the Solution Center to work once again, I am.

Let me know if you have any questions concerning one of the steps here and I will do my best to answer those as quickly as possible. I do not know a few things to do if it does not, but it is certainly the best advice to try first.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a: printer no longer works after reset wireless network

OfficeJet Pro 8500 has, MacBook Pro, running the Mavericks.

For 3 days, when we added a password and blocked our router wireless (modem ATT UVerse), our printer is "offline" print jobs queued, but do not print.  When I go and check it says "printer offline".  Or in the print queue, it is something like "looking for printer."

He worked briefly when we found a power cord and plugged into the laptop, but will not work wireless, which he did before.    No changes except to repeat password for the network.

I have the manual and you have turned off everything, then return in the order recommended (router, printer, then laptop).  Always offline.   Can someone please?   Thank you!

    Hello @LindaGrace,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that since to add a password to your wireless router your HP Officejet Pro 8500 has e-All-in-One Printer not communicate wirelessly with your computer Mac OS X 10.9. I would like to help you today with this problem of wireless communication.

Now, make a change to your network, as an addition to a password or change a password, translates into having to reconfigure your printer on the wireless network. At this point your printer is to be 'blocked' access to your network wireless because of the change you made. To correct this problem, you simply raise the Setup wireless for your printer to "say" the printer network name and password. Once the wireless installation runs successfully all will continue to work for you according to the normal.

To run the Wireless Setup Wizard on your printer, please follow the steps below.

    1. On the touch screen of the printer, press the right arrow key () to display the second navigation screen.
    2. Press network () to open the network Menu.
    3. Touch Wireless.
    4. Press the Wireless Setup Wizard, and then press continue.
    5. Please wait while the printer is looking for the routers that are nearby. Appears in the menu Select Network (SSID) .
    6. Scroll the list of network names until you find the name of your network.
    7. Tap the name of your network.
    8. If you are prompted, enter the WEP or WPA key. This is the password for your wireless network. The password is case-sensitive.
    9. Wait for the printer to connect to the network

    -Source

Once your printer is connected to your network again, please try to print. If printing still fails, you need to add the printer to your Mac because of the connection of network new printers. Please follow the steps below to add the printer to the Mac.

    1. click on the menu of Apple , then Preferences System.

    2. click on Print & Scanand then check if the name of your printer appears in the printer list.

    3. If your printer is already listed, remove and re-add the printer to check the communication with the Mac. Click on the name of your printer, click the minus sign (), and then delete the printer

    4. click on the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer

    5. click Add to add the printer to the list.

Now that the printer is properly configured on your network and added to the Mac, please try again to print wireless.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-O: all-in-one HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer - A909a

Is it possible to print from a phone Nokia 635 to the printer above?

It is an android system.  I'm a little new to this.

    Thank you

The HP Photosmart 5520 of the e-all-in-one printer features are more advanced than the 8500 when it print of smartphones - they use Android or Windows operating systems.  I recommend that you try to use ePrint with the 5520.  Here's how to put in place:

    • Front panel of the printer, press the icon of webservices/ePrint:
    • If you haven't already done so, activate your webservices and press OK to enable the automatic updates of printers.
    • When finished your printer will print a sheet of info announced his claimcode (which is the first part of the ePrint address preceding [email protected]).
    • If you were able to activate Web services successfully, you now have two additional printing methods that you can use with your Android and Windows devices:
    1. ePrint by email (note that this method is the best option when you use the Windows phone and one of the two options when you use the Android) - to use this feature, simply send the content you want to print (emails, photos and file attachments) by e-mail to the address of your printer @hpeprint.com.  You can use the email app on your Android device to do and for convenience, you can save the address of your printer to your contacts.  Earlier in this post, remember that the address of your ePrint printer would have appeared at the bottom of the slip of webservices.  Click here to learn more about customizing your ePrint printer's address.
    2. ePrint HP ePrint (second option for Android phone) App- click here to install the HP ePrint app.  I generally recommend this method above others as the ePrint application give you the ability to customize your print jobs, print the photo and files stored on your device and print from the web.  Click here for more information on how to use the HP ePrint app.

Let me know if you need additional assistance.
