HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless does not parse better than 600 dpi

I searched and found a lot of similar complaints.

Integrated display HP can only analyze up to 600 dpi, while the specification specifies 4800dpi with possibility to increase up to 19200 DPI. Then I went to get the 4 800 DPI 600 dpi is ugly to analyze detailed pictures.

On the web, I found similar complaints and the indication that the HP Solution Center installation allows you to select higher resolutions on the PC which cannot be selected on the printing device itself.

I don't have a Solution Center then downloaded the latest drivers and reinstalled the printer. HP Solution Center appears to be installed as well, although clicking it leads to an error to complete installation of the printer. I tried to reinstall with the addition of a printer icon: everything looks OK, printer is on an 802.11 wireless network, but after you find the printer, the last message is always "printer setting failed" (is actually in Dutch: "het instellen van printer is mislukt".)

The strange thing is that printing is not actually a problem (on the wireless), or scan to email.

I downloaded HP Print next and doctor Scan and the printer works perfectly (prints the test page), but the Solution Center still gives the message that it can not start due to an incomplete installation of the printer.

I played with the firewall, turn off Norton360, Windows firewall and firewall router and then put it back, but the problem remains.

In conclusion: it seems impossible to get the famous 4800 dpi.

Someone knows the way out?

Thank you

It looks like something has not installed right. The best thing to do is rub the software of the printer to the computer using the integrated printer cleaning brush. The steps below will guide you in the process.

Starting a download:

1. run the disk cleanup on your computer

2. download and run the software and the drivers below.

3. once the download is done retrieve, cancel the download.

4. click on the start menu.

5. click on run.

6. type %temp% enforcement

7. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)

8 open the Util folder

9 open the CCC folder

10. run the L4.bat uninstall_ for computers not HP.  For HP computers, run the Uninstall_L3.bat

11. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

12. access to the files program and program (x 86) and delete all records that relate to the software of the printer.

13 install an Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

14. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

Whenever I try to run it, however, it is said that it is the extraction, but once gets it is over, nothing happens. The Installation Wizard is not pop up, and there is no error message explaing it. How the printer is connected to your PC? USB or network

HP all-in-One Printer Remote App for Windows 8.1 printer is located if it is connected.

and HP and Capture app scanning allows you to scan with compatible devices.

  • My HP Officejet pro 8500 Wireless does not print.

I can copy and print from the printer or from scanning and printing but my HP computer will not send print data to the printer.  I tried to download the software to update drivers or diagnostic tools but the download cancels when it comes down to the end.

I was able to solve the problem with the help of a technician of HP.  I had to do a system recovery.  It works fine now.  Thanks for responding.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless does not detect network

My Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless suddenly doesn't work when connected via USB.  Don't try to re-run the HP Installation Wizard, the program reports no network detected (if the printer is right next to the Macbook Pro, which has a full signal from the network).  If I manually enter the SSID he says that he finds not only the network.  Network Configuration AMPe reports

    Network offline status

    802.11 wireless status disconnected

    Wireless on COLLAR

    Wireless works FAIL

Network name (SSID reported no run)

    0 detected wireless networks

The blue wireless light is turned on.

    Any suggestions?

I appreciate the try, Dean, but again did not make a difference.

I talked to tech support and they put me through presses the button to reset the network settings and then drain power printer, and I'm back in business.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 wireless: OfficeJet Pro 8000 wireless does not respond after a certain time

I use my wireless OfficeJet Pro 8000 for quite awhile now, but I have a problem that I can't solve:

Initially, it works allright. But after a few hours, it seems to go to sleep. And it does not print jobs more. I have to put the printer 'off' and 'on '.  After that, it will print the work queue.

I searched a timer as issues in the web interface of the printer, but can't find anything that points to a solution.

The printer is connected wireless to my router, using a 'fixed' IP address

    Can someone help me, please?

    Thankx

These settings are to set up your wireless printer to stay connected to your router, wireless devices stay better connected and makes your router secure and hack proof.

While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers must always be assigned an IP (fixed) manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network.

    1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here (Windows solution 4, static IP).
    2. Or check in the printer "Auto off" is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check the properties of your printers.
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
    4. If necessary and you have assigned a static IP address, try using auxiliary for the preferred DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS server.
    5. Wireless printers work only on the 2.4 Ghz band.
    6. Make sure the printer is on the latest firmware by checking with the HP support site.
    7. Check all devices wireless in your home for interference. Check microwave, babyphones, phones, wireless and wireless alarm systems are a big culprit. Any of these will knock at your printer wireless intermittently.
    8. Make sure that your printer and router are at least 6 feet, independently of the other.

In the router: (refer to the manual of your router for more information)

    1. Use a fixed wireless channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
    2. Set the router to 20 Mhz only or 145Mbps router function.
    3. Always use WPA2-AES encryption (personal), but you can try the "mixed" mode
    4. Disable the WPS and never use it and disable the UPnP for the security of routers. No one can hijack your system now and help with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, research on the web).
    5. If you have a router dual band (2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz bands), make sure the SSID is NOT identical, they must be different for all the bands, even for networks without comments.
    6. SSID broadcast should be enabled.
    7. Save all the settings. Food at the same time, wait 2 minutes.  Power on router wait 2 minutes.
    8. Marketing the printer and check that it reconnects to the router.

Windows 7/8/8.1 is discovered the system on or off?

    1. Control Panel/Network and Internet/network and sharing Center / advanced sharing settings.
    2. Under home or work (current profile) / network discovery.
    3. Select "Turn on network discovery" and save the changes.

Last resort effort - if your printer has an Ethernet connection, suggest you to get some adapters line and convert your Ethernet wiring for your printer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless does not wake

New OfficeJet 8 k wireless bought about 3 weeks ago.  The installer went well, prints nicely when it prints. Problem is that he falls asleep and is not responding to print jobs, ping, http, HP net diagnosis... Essetntially, it "disappears" from the network.  However, if I reboot the router wireless, just the router, he wakes up, will launch the impression of the task that has been waiting in the queue.  When it is invisible network printer configuration page print correctly when the button is triggered.  Nothing I do on the printers of the controls (for example wake up wireless, shut down and restart,...) it reconnects to the network.  The only thing that works is to feed the router market.  Calendar does not appear to be related to the printers power saving mode directly (i.e. when the printer goes to economy that is still accessible for some time).  Seems to take from one day to the next, pretty much, for the "disappearance".  Disabling the firewall (Comodo) PC does not fix.

    The Setup is:

    • 2 computers (laptop w / XP pro and office w/XP home/Media Center)-both with the problem.
    • Laptop wireless
    • Office wired directly to a port on the router ethernet
    • DSL modem connects to the router

    Network configuration:

    • Router Edimax BR-6204WG (802. 11 g)
    • Computers use DHCP; term of the lease has changed to 'forever' - did not help
    • The printer IP static value. Static IP also configured in router (xxx.xxx.xxx.195)
    • Router IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.193; mask 255.255.255.192
    • DHCP range set to xxx.xxx.xxx.198 - xxx.xxx.xxx.220
    • WPA - PSK security
    • Channel 6 (neighbors using 1 & 11)
    • On the PC printer port is a port TCP/IP of STD.
    • Lates firmware & drivers installed everything autour

Before this printer, I got a differrent print server (always connected, static IP xxx.194) who never had the problem.  It is a stable network that works intact for several years. I'm an it & network professional and at a loss.  Is ti software of the printer, the driver or the router?

    Any ideas?

Sorry to take so long to recover.  I tried different solutions, no luck.

So, I went with my gut and bought a new router (Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N).  My thought was that my 'old' router did not know how to wake up a sleepy printer.  New router has been working fine for a month.  Wakes printer very well.

As another advantage, one of my kids will get to upgrade their 802. 11 b 802.11 G with my old router network.

    Thanks again.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless does not connect to my new Airport Extreme router

I've owned my Officejet 8000 Wireless printer for about a year and had no problems with it.  However, my old wireless router wasn't fully compatible Mac so I couldn't fix it with a password.  I now need a secure network, so I bought an Apple Airport Extreme router in December.

Last night, I installed the router and it works fine on my iMac, my laptop and my iPhone.

However, tonight, I'm trying to implement Officejet Pro 8000 with no luck.  I searched the posts here for 3 hours and am not finding the help I need.  Based on the other posts, I read, I describe my situation below.

I am trying to set up the printer in my iMac Intel with Mac OS 10.6.4

I'm trying to set up the printer with the installation wizard HP I just install the printer software.

On the first screen of the wizard, it tells me that my device is not configured (I agree)

Then I ask him to set up a wireless network.

When I get to the network selection page, both my network AND my network of comments (that I let my neighbor use) are on the list with the full signal strength.

When I click on my network and then continue, the HP installation wizard hangs and I have to stop, he.

When I click on my guest and then network continue, I get the message that my network is not within reach.  (FYI, the printer is 10 feet from the router).

I tried to power on/off the printer, the router and the computer at all different stages of the process with no luck.

    For my Airport:

My radio is set to the most compatible choice

MAC access control is not enabled

    Everything is WPA2 security

'Use wide channels' and "Create a closed network" is unchecked

The channel is set to 11

I'm happy to try the "Add client in the network" thing I've seen on other posts, but I don't think that I have a front panel of the printer where I can start the "WPS" (don't know what it is) process.   If I do, it is not obvious and not in the HP manual.

My ISP is Comcast (cable internet).

I'd really, really grateful for the help!  Please let me know what I forgot to include information, and I will be happy to provide it.

    Thank you!

OK to reset the printing system again, he may be blocked.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 Scanner does not work with 10.4.11

My friend just upgraded to the OfficeJet 8500.  He already had a scanner and a stand-alone printer.  Yesterday, we installed the printer and software, but the scanner will not show either when you press the button on the front console or from the HP Director software.  Any suggestions?  Printing and copy of work currently functions.  His system is an iMac G5 20 ", Mac OS x 10.4.11.  OfficeJet is connected via USB.

Well Yes, even 2.0 compatible hubs can get in the way of scanning (but usually not print).  Try a direct contact with a known good USB cable.

You can try uninstalling the scrubber, its probably a good idea if there are old pieces of HP software on your system.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 Wireless - pop-up window does not disappear

To start the computer, a window pop up keeps saying "Please wait while Windows configures Document Viewer.

Then he said: "Insert the Document Viewer disk error 1706 no valid source could be found for the viewer of documents produced."

I am connected wirelessly with a Hp Officejet Pro 8500 wireless printer... And it prints, but message pops up everytime I open computer, or open HP solution Center.

    Running on Windows XP. -

Any help would be kindly appreciated - as this pop-up message won't go away.

I was hoping that the simplest method would work first.  I studied this carefully for you that I am aware that the missing files in your registry can cause this but I can't tell if this is directly related to the HP Solution Center or XP computer.  You are able to open the solution Center?  If so, then I do not recommend remove and reinstall the printer immediately if it is scanning and printing correctly.

Microsoft Forums gives a very long list of troubleshooting steps, but the reason it is suggesting that a clean boot is to make past the error.  I don't think it will fix actually.

This document entitled "Error 1706 - What Is It' had the same information I was looking for.  In the end, he recommends the purchase of a software computer cleaning, but if you read this document that tells where to find this missing file you and you can not find, I recommend the simplest method first which works simply on your XP Disk Cleanup (Start button > all programs > Accessories > system tools > disk cleanup) and restart the PC.  I really want to try to save the greater amount of time, and keep it as simple as possible.  Here is an example of the magnitude that it can get however.

Let me know if any of the simple methods do not work, and I'll give you the best recommendations on registry cleaning software.

  • HP officejet PRO 8500 wireless

I work with 2 PC over Wifi with the HP officejet PRO 8500 wireless printer she even in Wifi.
Most of the time everything works fine but sometimes the printer does not print a document. MICROSOFT OFFICE (Outlook or Word) so that the latter is visible in the spooler... If I cancel it in the list of the spooler does not remove the document from the list and the blocked documents remain behind. It doesn't happen that one of the 2 PC.

If I go into the printer properties - solve problems - utility can see that a document blocks other and announces that the problem is solved.
Unfortunately the problem is always there. Restart the PC or printer do not change.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 WIreless. Change print heads

try to change the officejet pro 8500 wireless print heads.  Can't find existing print heads.  Press on * does not.  Have turned machine off and restarted the procedure - once again I can't locate heads.  My machine seems to have located differently than in the manual or video print heads.  Help, please

    miles1938,

With the Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless ink cartridges are in the lower left front of the printer compartment.  We can access transportation, which maintains the print heads by lifting the scanner from the front, not just the scanner cover.  To move the cart and the print heads to the left so that we can access it, press and hold * key for about 6 seconds.  If the transport is not moving then we can try to move manually.  Click here for references.

Oh, Yes, the scan key on the printer does not yet with Snow Leopard.  Some people have had a chance to get that goes from the first analysis of the Mac (using the preview or Capture of Image), then the button works, but for others it does not.
