HP officejet pro 8600: office jet pro 8600 scan generates only black pages
Scanner worked fine until today when I tried to scan a page. Print and scan 4.9 doctor says my scanner is fine, but scanned page is black and adjustments do not change this. Also, I used to be able to add a page or more and who went with Windows 10. This machine is 4 1/2 years and not under warranty.
Hello @kathy817, hope you are well!
Thank you access the Forums from HP Support for extra support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, HP experts and other support staff.
I see that you are having problems when parsing printer Officejet 8600. Could you please try and make a copy of the photo on the printer? Let me know if the copy option works very well.
If the copy also gives you a black page, try the following steps:
- Unplug the printer from the power outlet.
- Wait 2-3 minutes and then plug back the power cable directly to the wall outlet (do not use a surge protector or an extension cord)
If the copy is fine, please let me know. In addition, tell me how the printer is connected. Is it connected using USB or wireless?
I'll watch for your reply. Good luck!
See you soon

OfficeJet pro 8610: scanning of a document of several pages in a single file
I have an Office Jet Pro 8610 printer all-in-one. Here's my problem. When I scan a multi-page document scan up each page in a different file. I want to scan the document in a file so you can send an e-mail and save it. So far I have not figured out how this. What I am doing wrong?
Hello
Thank you for using the forum.
First of all, you need to install the software for your printer. You can download the software from this link, be sure to select the correct operating system and the "Download COMPLETE".
Once installed, you can start using the Scan software.
There is a Scan shortcut that allows you to 'Save as PDF '. This will scan all your documents in a single file.
Watch these videos that can be useful to your scanning needs.

HP OfficeJet Pro 6830 - scan to network?
Hello
Anyone know if it is possible to set up scan to network folder/path directly using the Officejet Pro 6830? The option does not appear on the printer control panel and requires the computer to be turned on in order and this option for the analysis to cross successfully.
If not, are there plans to add this feature in a new version of s/w?
Thank you
Breleur
HI Sylvain,.
The model HP Offiecjet 6830 Pro does not support scanning to a network shared folder.
For series Officejet Pro 8600 Officejet series manages this type of functionality, not the 6800 series.
I highly doubt such a feature will become supported in the future...
You can check the scanning to E-mail option of the printer, such only require the printer to connect to the network and need not the PC can be powered on:

Hi @analisa808,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed that you cannot scan to PDF with your printer HP Officejet Pro 6830. And I'm happy to see it for you!
To get help, I'll need some more information:
- If you use Windows or operating system Mac and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
- If the printer is connected, USB, Ethernet, or wireless.
- If the printer is able to make copies.
- If the power cable is connected to a surge protector, or directly to a wall outlet. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.
In the meantime, if you are using Windows, try the HP Print and Scan Doctor program. And let me know what happens!
Please see this post, want good answers? Ask good Questions, so that you can get the most out of these forums.

HP Officejet Pro 8715: scan to separate files
I want to scan a stack of documents with the autofeeder, and each document in a separate PDF file. Is this possible on a printer HP Officejet Pro 8715?
Thank you.
Hello
He doesn't know how many pages on the first document and the second one... so he can't do the job. There are few options, the following is a good software:
http://www.PDFSam.org/downloads/
I usually use PDFSAM ( Split hasnd Merge PDF) divide after a big scan OR to extract a chapter of a thick book. I also use it to combine/merge some small PDF files to a larger file.
Please download the basic version, it's free. You have to pay to use the other version.
Kind regards.

HP Officejet Pro 8620 - Scan to TIFF?
I do not own this MFP is not in front of me. I'm trying to help a customer who continued to send a PDF that are too big for our portal. If he could send as TIF/TIFF IMAGE, it would be probably much smaller.
I have looked at the manual and don't see instructions/options for this.
Does anyone have experience with this on this all-in-one printer? Is this possible?
Thank you!!
Hello there @Frannia welcome to the forums!
I took a page from my scanner HP (on a Windows PC), there should be the ability to change the type of file to a TIFF file if the analysis of every day is selected. See what I had highlighted in yellow below. Ignore the red arrow to scan in PDF format.
Also ensure the full functionality driver and the software is installed. If the driver is required, click on this link, select the operating system must be installed on the printer and pulled in and download it here:

OfficeJet Pro 8610: Wide and solid black boxes printed on a PDF file
I have a HP Officejet Pro 8610 is barely more than a year. After the upgrade to Windows 10, he isn't properly print PDFS. It shows the document correctly in the preview, but prints large blocks of black over the areas with a print on the preview. Uses tons of ink until you realize that it is printing large blocks of black Uni. The document makes it useless. I did 2 PDF files with the same results - I thought that the first was the provider, but the second one was from another source. I deleted and reinstalled the program 3 times.
Any suggestions? I just bought ink or I would just buy something else!
What program are you printing from? I've seen a number of cases like this which has been solved by using Acrobat (free) DC to print documents.

OfficeJet Pro 8500: Scan to PDF Format
Hello.
(1) I don't know if my OS is 32-bit or 64-bit. Should give a bit of a clue as to how much I know about computers;
(2) my Officejet Pro allows to analyze in *.pdf; Now he doesn't. I tried everything, including the update of UN - and reinstalling drivers.
(3) the installation disk supplied with the appliance doesn't list Windows 7 on the face (XP and Vista). I don't know how much difference that, given that the computer came with 7 and, even once, worked fine until he decided to do not.
(4) after updating drivers, I can scan to tif, bmp, jpg, and png... but the pdf, it is what is wanted.
(5) I can see and print pdf files, scanning is the only problem.
(6) any ideas, before I reprogram this machine with a fairly large axe?
Any help is appreciated.

OfficeJet Pro 8620: HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 scan low resolution
According to the specifications of the OfficeJet Pro 8620 offers a resolution of up to 1200 dpi scanning, but the scan software offers only up to 300 dpi. How can I scan at a higher resolution than 300 dpi?
Thank you for your response.
Hello
Automaric document feeder allows scanning up to 300 dpi, to analyze higher resolutions, you will need to use the glass flat.
Place your document on the glass and open the HP scanning software, change the source as glass flat instead the default (use ADF if loaded), then you will be provided with the option to select a higher resolution.
Kind regards

OfficeJet Pro 8610: Scanning both sides of the computer does not not on officejet pro 8610
Hello
Help, please!
Set up: Officejet Pro 8610 connected wireless for HP laptop Windows 10.
Mission: I have 10 A4 sheets with stuff on both sides. I want to scan every 20 faces and save them on my laptop in the right order.
I would like to do this automatically thought IE the automatic document feeder.
I use scan options HP Scan and Capture software in document settings
I select the source to be "heavy feeder" and duplex scan (if available) option I select '2 Facer.
Although this force the 8610 take the original since the ADF doc it's only one side.
That's the problem!
Also if I use the HP Officejet Pro HP printer Assistant, if I select the radio button for the front and back, once its done scanning side 1 of the document it asks me to take the originals and put them in the feeder to make the other side. The scans are then coming out in the wrong order!
I bought this printer so I could do it, but can't make it work. I want to cry. Help, please.
Thank you
Hello
The HP Officejet Pro 8610 does not support scanning duplex automatic, that the more advanced of this series models supports a such (8620 & 8630 models)
You can find the printer specifications listed below:
Breeze through multipage documents with automatic two-sided scanning and the 50-page auto document feeder (for 8620/8630 only).
http://www.HP.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press_kits/2014/OJPro/OfficejetPro8610_8620_8630.PDF
You can only perform this manually with your printer model, I suggest to use the HP scanning software.
If the analysis is delivered in the wrong order, try to install and use the HP extended Scan application and check differences:
FTP://FTP.HP.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Hope that helps,
Shlomi
