HP Officejet Pro 8620: Instant ink

With regard to instant ink:

1. I guess the envelope provided with my first series of instant ink cartridges is the return of these ink cartridges instant after vacuum vs cartridges "setup" that came with the computer, correct?

2. as I am advised by the printer, one at a time as each cartridge is now empty, I guess I can change out vs. having to wait until all color cartridges are empty; and even then, I can change on all color cartridges, leaving in the old black forward to be advised that he must now change, true?  In other words, as for example, anytime that I could have, say, the first black, the second yellow and blue, but the third cyan in at the same time?

I don't know how that affects the sending of new cartridges.

The envelopes could return the cartridges to install or you can wait for the next round.

As for changing cartridges, you can expect to change a cartridge until it is needed.  Very probably the color cartridges will become exhausted to the same time, unless you have a logo that uses only cyan for example.  Usually the color inks would be in about 10% of its use even through the colors for a random set of printing.

Instant ink billing will begin when the first instant ink cartridge is installed - even if it's just one of the four cartridges.

The printer communicates with servers to instant ink to trigger automatic ink expeditions before that you will need.

  • OfficeJet pro 8610: Instant ink

I bought an all in one and registered 8610 to instant ink. I just ran out of black ink with ink supplied with the printer. My first series of ink is on the way. When I get them if I have to replace the ink or can I replace just the instant black with ink from the color are those supplied with the printer.

You can just replace the ink that the printer is low.

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: Instant ink sign up, site Web, reset password connection and why start using immediately?

I have a few questions and problems...

I signed up for the moment of ink and placed on hold since I just bought my printer. I don't need instant cartridges since I just bought my printer and got new ones with the printer.  is there a scenario where it would be sensible to get instant ink hp going to as soon as you get a new printer?  wouldn't you want to use the cartridges you get and delay the instnat hp ink until you need new ink cartridges?

Second, I got ink in the mail even if I put it on hold.

Thirdly, I am trying to log on to the instant the ink site but my username and password do not work and the password reset function won't send me an email to reset my password.

Fourthly, I received an offer of $25 with printer eligible purchase and hp ink signup discount, which i did, and I had to to receive email from hp to submit the $25 discount.  I don't have this e-mail.

so far not a very good experience for this going.

Hi dabrooks, even if you register in the instant the ink program the service does not start and you are not charged until you insert the first game to instant ink cartridges that you receive. The pages that you print using the cartridges supplied with the printer are not counted as part of your monthly pages quota and you are therefore quite correct to use these supplies until they are exhausted, how you install the game of instant cartridges you received when registering in the program. Once you insert these into your printer, the service is enabled and the number of pages you print is followed by the service.

For other issues that you mention in your post, I would recommend contacting the instant ink dedicated support team here. Fill in the required fields and click on the button to display the options where you can select the phone or chat to get help.

Hope this information helps and that you get your other issues fixed in a Masson in due time by the support team.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: How can I activate the message "connect the printer to HP Instant ink status update?

Initially, I signed up for the connected HP program but had to stop when I lost my internet connection. Wi - Fi still works. I replaced my ink cartridges instant with no instant ink with new HP ink cartridges suitable. The printer works, but before each print job I have to walk over to the printer of the touch screen and press the 'OK' button to remove a warning message that States: "connect to a printer to update HP Ink Instant status.» How can I disable this message so that I can print without having to respond each time? In addition to replacing the original instant ink cartridges, I did it 'hard' printer restarts (with the switch market), tried to restore the factory settings via the touch screen system settings, turn off internet connectivity and disable all alert settings in the HP utility. Hello @wepj,

Welcome to the Forums of HP and thanks much for posting!

I want to help you with the message that you get on your HP printer officejet Pro 8620 e-all-in-one to connect to the server of ink instant.

What it sounds like, is that there have been pages printed since the last printer connected to the HP Ink Server instant. If you cancel your account AFTER the last connection of the printer to the internet, the printer have no idea that the account has been canceled.

I recommend you contact our Cloud Services support at 1-855-785-2777 for assistance.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: problem with ink

Hello. I have nothing else to the HP printers used in my life using the computer - more than 25 years! I bought a new Officejet Pro 8620 2 years. I also bought cartridges refilled at the same time as my father died and I would need to use the printer a lot. Unfortunately, I bought ink another 3 times for this printer, when printing somewhere near 100 pages ALTOGETHER since the purchase. Problem is the printer keeps saying cartridge is not HP and damaged - should replace the HP cartridges. I've NEVER had a problem before using reloaded cartridges. Why change now? Am very close to get back to using my old computer Win XP and more old HP all-in-one printer. I have 3, and none of them has NEVER given any problems.

Looking for help on this. Have always had confidence in HP before - don't want to lose that now. Last cartridges were new HP, but still having the same problems. Suppliers of ink have been highly evaluated with excellent reviews. Warranty expired a year ago. Haven't had extended warranty because, as I said, never had a problem with HP printers to more than 25 years.

In addition, cellular internet very limited - and not (!) reliable. 50 miles of the city.

Yes, I learned a LOT over the weekend. First of all, I ordered a few inkplicity.com ink. Am curious about their ink, with their 1 year warranty. Shortly after ordering, I contacted Fuzoo, who then asked me to photograph both sides of the chip. I had no idea of the chip was removable. And actually, I see on the YoYoInk cartridges that the chip is glued in place. Then, I saw a few chips ink auto reset for sale online. And then began to find a lot of links and messages and articles on the chips of HP and the problems associated with them. Like my old printers were about 2000 or so, I had never met the problems associated with the current chips.

Now, Fuzoo has graciously agreed to replace not only the Magenta faulty cartridge (which has their 'old' piece), but will send a full order before, which was black (2) and a set of color inks. Can't get much better than this! So it would seem that I'm no longer need an explanation of why this happens - it's all about HP and their need to force their customers (who FREELY CHOOSE to buy their printers) in the purchase of HP ONLY cartridges.

It is a free country that is stuffed with capitalism. You'd be hard-pressed to get into any grocery store and NO search of generic items just alongside their counterparts in brand and usually for less money. You have car trouble? Generic (non - OEM) parts are available, as well as a lot of rooms refurbished. HP should remember their place in the grand scheme of things, or they will go the way of many other electronics companies. Trying to force customers to pay more for ink is bad. ... So this would increase the cost of the printers in the first place? Yes, probably. I was always ready to buy quality products when I could afford to, and HP printers had always been reliable but also easy to use. With this printer, I swore to the dang thing a lot more that I used it.

Please, ch, make the message and ease up trying to railroad customers. Even us loyal customers for a long time "' will leave! Don't forget, we are customers of HP by "choice"!

Problem is now solved. Thank you all for your comments!

  • OfficeJet pro 8620: officejet pro 8620, error: problem with ink system

During the initialization of the printer, after that I inserted the ink cartridges, I get the error: "X-problem with ink system... I followed the directions: "lift the latch on the print carriage, reinstall the print head and then remove the cartridges and inspect leaks." Do not use cartridges that leaks. If the cartridges are OK, re - install. After you have reinstalled, turn the printer off and then back on. »

Well it don't turn off the printer... I get another message: "the printer initialization and the ongoing calibration.» Do not put off the printer or turn off the power during this process. »

I repeated this process on 6 or 7 times with the same result.

I use "cartridges Setup" he claims.

    Help, please!

    Thanks in advance...!

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8620: Impression of poor quality HP Officejet Pro 8620

I had no problem printing until I went to the "HP Instant ink cartridges".  I complained and got a second set of cartridges.  But the new set has not improved the quality.

I used to print messages from Gmail, and the text was a vivid black.  Now, it's a clear bluish gray.  Web page with text impressions smallish on them seems faded and are practically illegible.

Virtually everything that looks like I'm stuck on the "Draft" mode

Changed my default settings in "plain paper-best" and did all the other steps (align, cleaning print heads, etc.) with no improvement in quality.  I also downloaded once again print driver, rebooted, etc..  Paper is the same: copy paper multipurpose Boise X-9 (20 books, letter size, 92 bright).

Help!  What should I do to get back to good quality prints?   Happy to send someone at HP 'before' (GMAIL messages) impressions printed in December, using standare HP cartridges and 'after' impressions (the same GMAIL messages now printed using HP Instant cartridges) if it would help to diagnose my problem.  Just give me a name and an address.

    MNY THANKS!

Bad news and good news about the problem of print quality with my printer HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 Wireless all-in-One Color Inket-Scanner-copier:

After working with two "technicians" on the chatline useful instant ink, I was opted for a printer HP imaging expert.

We did some tests, and it was determined that I had a hardware problem.  Good news, finally understood the problem after more than a month of difficulty.

Bad news: 8620 My was two months after the warranty.  (The printer has 14.5 months.  The warranty is 12 months).  Then, tough luck, no new printhead, ceertainly no machine replacement.

In addition, the well-meaning test (involving a reboot) disabled the printer.  Now it doesn't work at all.

I found myself ordering a 8620 HP remanufactured through HP imaging expert.  A bit of a discount ($100) on the price of a new machine, but more of what Amazon or Wal-Mart sells the new machine.

Also - I bought an extended warranty ($19) to cover the machine for 3 years.

Still not sure if the instant ink caused somehow my hardware problem. The 8620 was working perfectly until I changed the previous set of HP regular cartridges with instant ink cartridges (when the printer was 13 months, one month after the original warranty).   The printer had never been abused in some way and only moderately used.

Now waiting for my new rebuilt the machine.  Can't print, copy or scan until it happens.

Lesson: Always get the extended warranty.  You're out of luck if there is a problem any of the last 12 months.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620: My HP Officejet Pro 8620 ceased printing in Mac OS x.

I bought my HP Officejet Pro 8620 less than 6 months ago. It started making a grinding noise as it printed. Then he said that he is weak on cyan. Then it stopped printing because cyan has been exhausted. I bought today new cyan. I put it in and now it says "there is a problem with the printer or ink system. If the problem persists, contact HP. "I tried many suggestions for more than 2 hours. I opened the truck and looked for paper. None. When I tried to download the software, it says "something wrong with your device. Device is in an error state and cannot be reflashed because of this. Fix the problem and try again. »

I tried to use e-print but has ended up keeping the usb connection.

I can't touch the printer Panel because he is stuck on "Printer Failure" and no areas are in view to start other than turn the printer and the switch by unplugging the power cord. How to solve the problem? Thank you.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620: Junk emails

I get a great daily spam which is wasting the ink/paper. Is it possible to block emails from this sender if I have their e-mail address?

Hello and welcome to the community of HP @HP-Dave,

I understand that your HP Officejet Pro 8620 receives a daily email that you want to block. I'll be happy to help you.

Yes, it is possible to block unwanted senders to be able to send emails to your printer. To block an email address, you will need to connect to HP connected. One time connected to connected HP, select the devices tab, then click the tab setting, next to your printer. On this Web page you should see "Access ePrint", select "Only authorized senders" and finally add the email addresses, that trust you this list so that they can send to your printer.

If it helps, will testify of my answer by pressing the 'thumbs up' below, or click on the button "Accept as Solution" if I helped you reach a solution.

I hope this helps and have a nice day.

  • OfficeJet pro 8620: pen replacement

    Hey @Red16,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are sent a replacement pen for your Officejet Pro 8620 e-all-in-one printer. A feather replacement is another term for an ink cartridge.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620:8620 all in one printer color printing incorrect, even if the quality is good on tests

My printer is only about a year and I had no problem with him until more recently. I only use hp ink cartridges. It prints color orange when I want to print the colors pink and Red/pink when I want to print Brown. Most of the other colors print normally. I cleaned the print head, which does not help at all and made a print quality test, each test to come out totally fine. Colors are not dimmed, there are no missing lines or anything like that, it's just printing wrong colors from time to time, as on some documents. Any suggestions?

    Hi @mcorinn,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you experience problems printing some documents with your HP Officejet Pro 8620 printer in Mac OS X 10.6. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand the frustration you feel. There could be corruption in the files/application on the Mac or a problem with the printer driver. If the 'print quality test' report print correctly, this is not a hardware problem.

Are you able to print from TextEdit? What were the results?

If some documents are the problem, they could be corrupted.

What application you are printing from?

Try to create a new document with the color to see if it prints correctly. What were the results?

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • Officejet Pro 8620 printing problem

I am trying to print a document of 26 pages, double sided on my new printer officejet pro 8620. It prints a page aside 26-20 double ok and part prints then stops of 19 page. My windows o/s 8.1. Anyone has a solution. Thank you

    Hi Roger41,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that you try to print a document duplex of the 26 page with your HP Officejet pro 8620, and he stops on page 19. I'm happy to help you with this printing problem!

To get help, I'll need to know:

    1. If the printer is connected, USB, Ethernet, or wireless.
    2. If the power cable is connected to a surge protector, or directly to a wall outlet. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

In the meantime, please try the HP print and Scan Doctorand let me know what happens!

I hope to hear from you and have a nice day!
