HP OfficeJet Pro 8620: OfficeJet Pro locked 8620

He was always hit or miss if my printer (especially scanning capabilities) will work on any given day. Today, I tried messing around with all sorts of things that he can work and seem to have only made worse.

Now I'm completely locked out of making changes. When I try to access the network configuration I get the message: "integrated network of capacities have been disabled. Contact your administrator or the person who set up the printer. I set up the printer and have no idea what to do.

I tried to restore the default values, but received a similar message. "The service has been locked by your administrator.

I uninstalled the drivers and when trying to re - install is simply not connected to the printer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey @IslandPlanet,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see you have a few problems with your Officejet scanning 8620 and you found a mistake that network capacity have been disabled by your network administrator. I can help you with these questions.

First of all, we need to remove the error on the printer. I will send you a private message with details describing how to solve this problem. You should see a private message me in your Inbox shortly.

Once you have initialized your printer again we will have to determine what is causing the problem you are experiencing. The next time that you can't print or scan, we will do the following:

  1. On the printer, click on the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.
  2. Click on the gear icon.
  3. Scroll down to and then click on print the Wireless Test status.

A page should print with a few lines that say Pass or fail in the end let me know if something breaks down and what the Signal strength is listed as. Once I know what I'll be better able to help you.

I just bought this printer for my office a week ago, and has put in place for the wireless network, everything worked very well.  Over the weekend, it seems he dropped the Wi - Fi connection and when I went to restore it, I am locked out most of the settings and said that the administrator (me) locked their (no) when it was put in place.

I plugged in an ethernet cable and I am still not able to enter the web page of the printer to access these settings.  On ethernet, I cannot ping the device from any other computer on the network.  How can I obtain this lock out of here? I'm almost ready to return this thing, it's ridiculous.

  • Meeting place for Dell 11 I3 pro locks screen (7139/7130) towards the top/gels

    Hello

I have a Dell location 11 Pro I3, it's almost awesome to work after getting all the latest drivers updates, Bios, etc..

But from time to time, the screen freezes, it seems that it only freezes when im touching the screen or using the keyboard on this (compact keyboard with trackpad).

A few times the screen freezes for a few seconds, other times I have to put to sleep (power button) and wake up again until the screen reacts.

I know it is a problem of editing screen, the Tablet meets the keys, keyboard typing or the trackpad when the screen is frozen.

How will I know it when I see the movements on the screen? I see when I wake the Tablet after a freeze of all the changes I made, for example typings, Web sites change. And the sounds when I get error sound when I arrive at the end of a page, etc. The sounds come while the screen is frozen.

Anyone have any idea how I can solve the freezing of the screen that would be amazing :)

I've seen other posts but non of them are recent (a month or two old)

    Thanks in advance :)

On my tablet, this problem was more caused by the Panel Auto Refresh. Download Intel drivers from the support page and install it if you don't have it already done. Then, click Start-> all-> Intel HD Graphics Control Panel Apps. Click on 'Power', then click on "Off" next to Panel to refresh.

  • OfficeJet 6600 locked out.

Yes, resetting clears the return to the default settings, but should allow access to all menus on the printer control panel.

  • OfficeJet 8500 W/less Pro don't up the energy saving mode

Problems with the wireless device Pro Officejet 8500 lock up after 4 hours of inactivity. All the functions work well under normal circumstances - prints, scans, faxes and copies. It is currently configured to run wireless.  Once locked, the lights and the touch screen remain but the unit is completely frozen and controls the printer or touch the printer touchscreen or buttons he will wake up. Even the switch does not shut off the unit. The only solution is to unplug the printer and turn it back on. My first cat 1 hour of HP support has been a disaster and almost laughable. I'm afraid that something is wrong with the software unit powersave, but haven't seen enough comments think it's widespread.

All others who encounter this problem?

At this point, if you are satisfied with the LAN cable to connect your printer to the network, then you should delete the queue of your folder of the printer and then re-run Setup from the CD.  The reason why you need to do is that the passage of wireless LAN probably caused the router without wire-to assign the Officejet a new IP address, and unfortunately, the SW printer was not able to follow the change.

If you are unhappy not to be able to run the printer wireless, we can try some other experiences.  In the WRT54G configuration, change the renewal period of group key from the default setting to higher value it accepts.

Also, what version of the WRT54G do you run?  Have you updated FW from the router to the latest version?  I've actually updated the WRT54G in our lab to run the firmware of tomato which allows me to schedule the router restart at 03:00.  The defects of this operation has solved many problems related to a firmware of the router.  An alternative is to put the WRT54G Router on a light timer that turns off the router for a short period of time once a day.

Finally, it is likely the printer radio has a failure.  You should consider sharing the printer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: Locked out of the printer settings

    Good evening

I was unable to print wireless so I did a network reset the unit. When I rebooted the machine, I proceeded to return to the network settings in order to capture the wireless information however I received the error "function has been locked by the administrator or the person who set up your printer".

I'm not sure what is the problem with that I'm the one who created this printer. I assign a password to the machine, and with that, I have no option to enter in order to unlock all the features (there is usually an option under 'Tools'.).

After some searching through the forums, I printed a wireless test and the results were a single FAILURE for Wireless on.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Mark

He had a semi full reset, which once preformed resturned unit to its state of semi reset and allowed me to change the settings I made.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8620: RDP 8620 Officejet prints strange lines

I tried to find an answer to this for almost a month.

We have a HP Officejet Pro 8620 and we want to be able to print from a remote computer to ours. The printer is shared.  We'll call the local computer pc1 and the computer remote pc2. PC1 remotes in pc2 using a standard Windows 7 Remote Desktop connection. PC1 sharing their printer with pc2 by redirect. the sharing of each resource to which is connected to it. PC1 is trying to print, and then waits. The printer that is connected to the pc1 via USB cable gives us a message that looks like this of course is not what we want when we try to print an Excel worksheet. No, this is not the complete document. This is the first 1/3 or the page and the rest is completely white. It almost looks like a code any. I installed the drivers on ppc1 both pc2. I tried the drivers universal instaslling. I was told that get this work 4 years ago was very easy, but I could not crack. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620 does not print, but the document is sent to the printer without error

I bought a HP Officejet Pro 8620 and connect 2 computers via a wireless connection with the latest driver.
In the first computer (windows 7) I can print without any problem
On the second one (windows 8), when I try to print, I can see in the windows printer spooler file that I'm going to print. The file is sent to the printer, without error, BUT nothing happens.

  • New OfficeJet Pro 8620 does not print PDF files

I have a brand new 8620 and I use Windows 7. My printer prints a few PDFs but not most other PDF documents. I am using Acrobat Reader XI. The printer will print from MS Office.

    HELP, please!

Hello! Welcome to the @lmel forums

I have a few ideas that come to mind, I read the issue you're having with printing of PDF files. They are here!

    1. try to resave the PDF files that do not print and then try printing again.

    2. update of Adobe:

Select help - search for updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
Once installed, you can restart a computer.
Then try to print the PDF file.

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Acrobat/KB/troubleshoot-PDF-printing-Acrobat-Reader.html

    3. run the print and scan the doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

    4. uninstalling the printer software

    Restart the PC

Reinstall the printer: HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-all-in-One Printer series full feature software and drivers

That should do the trick! Keep me abreast of the results!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620: Selection easy printing on tray 1 or 2

We have an Officejet Pro 8620 with extra paper tray. Tray 1 for Virgin paper, tray 2 for the paper with the logo of the company.

Now, when we want to print to tray 2, we reject Tray 1, whereas, after a few attempts the software switches to tray 2 and printing begins.

It is possible, before printing, to change the setting in the software, select printing for tray 2. But it's pretty heavy.

We want an easy way to select printing for Tray 1 or the tiroir2. For example, as seen in other environments, so that we can choose to print on:

-HP Officejet Pro 8620 (Tray 1) or

-HP Officejet Pro 8620 (tray 2)

This could be seen as a separate printers. How can we achieve this?

Change the setting every time, is not a good option. In addition, we have other software that we want to configure so that they automatically print to the correct bin.

    Thank you!
