HP Officejet Pro 8630: Test Print "error - printing".

Hello

I have problems printing in the main printer in my office, the HP Officejet Pro 8630. Some work colleagues print to this printer without problem, and others have gave up on it as well. I have no printing problem with HP Officejet Pro 8600 to an office close to home.

I have finally connected to this printer manually, using its IP address, because it does not appear in the search "add a printer". When I try to do a test print, in the print queue of the printer window, it shows its status as 'Impression' for a brief moment before changing to "error - printing".

Honestly I don't know what else to do without disturbing the few people who are successfully using this printer. I hate my work colleague whenever I need to use their printer bug.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8630: slow printing to the network

We got this printer about 5 months ago, set up as a network printer and all our workstations print to it very well, that this includes the machines Windows 7 & XP and a laptop computer. We had no problem until very recently, I installed an update that was supposed to be for instant ink program. This makes sure the xp machines could not print to it. I had to reset the printer to uninstall the update and this resovled the question at the beginning, but then he began to print slow - not like taking a lot of time to print a page, but by taking a lot of time between when you hit print and when he actually starts printing.  Yesterday (after all computers have an update of Windows installed) it began to take 30-45 minutes to a draw get to the printer. We currently have the printer connected via usb to one of the desktop and shared with the rest, but this isn't an ideal situation. We have tried to disable our anti-virus (Trend Micro) to see if blocking and it did nothing. You wonder how to do print as before?

Ironically, the question resolved itself after the second day. Computers and printers are closed every night. Thank you very much for all the links!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8630: HP Officejet Pro not for me, but for my colleagues at print job printing

My office just got an Officejet Pro 8630 and I was installed on our laptops. I installed the drivers on four computers, and it worked fine for three of them (except mine). Our office makes wireless printing and the printer is connected to the network. My computer is connected to the network as well. I did everything the same (to my knowledge) for download, so I am very confused. I was able to scan from the printer to my computer in PDF form. I restarted my computer and also uninstalled/reinstalled everything, but to no avail. When I try to print, it goes into the queue of print documents, it waits a few seconds and then goes away as if she had printed out correctly. Our old printer still works for me (also wireless, but an Epson) but of course we will be getting rid of this soon. Am I missing something?

    Hi @HMoyer,

I see that you have problems printing of only the computer, but you can scan from the printer to the computer. I will definitely do my best to help you.

Download and run the print and Scan Doctor, he will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically.

If the problem persists, try the procedure described in this document to see if it will be useful. Wireless printer print a partial Page or fails to print all Pages in Windows 8 The Microsoft KB3000461 fix should help with this question.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

  • HP Officejet Pro 8630 - work of borderless printing produces blank pages

    Hello-

On my HP Officejet Pro 8630, when I start a print job and select ' without borders on "print 3 or more copies, the first 2 pages of the print job, and then a blank page prints, followed by a good impression, followed with a blank page, etc. until that work ends.

If I disable the option without borders, the job will print correctly without blank pages.  I tried printing from multiple computers and programs with the same number and have updated printer drivers / the most recent versions.

I tried printing wired network, wireless network and USB all with the same result.  I've had the printer for less than a month.

I use the printer for business purposes, and it is causing the major headaches!

    Thank you

I solved the problem by selecting the Type of paper - HP Bright White... She has been set to the default value of plain paper.  I can now borderless printing correctly without blank pages.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8630: Internet connection for printer

    Hello

I recently bought a HP Officejet Pro 8630 all-in-one printer and currently it hooked to my computer via a USB cable.  Everything works fine.

I want to participate in the program of alternative to instant ink HP Service.  To do this the said program brochure that I have my printer is connected to the Internet.  I have never made a connection like that.

Currently, I don't have a cable modem wireless.  Do I need to have a cable modem wireless to connect my printer to the Internet?  If this is not the case, how can I connect my printer on my existing cable modem?

My cable modem is: Motorola SURFboard of SBV5220

    Thank you

    Mark

    Hello

Your printer needs to have an ethernet port in the back, where you can connect a LAN cable. You will need to connect a LAN cable to a free port on your current modem on the back of the printer - this should establish an internet connection.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8630: HP Officejet Pro 8630 printing problem

    Hello

I have a printer HP OfficeJet Pro 8630 with two different computers connected on it. I have no problem printing from the computer that I use every day, but when I try to print from the other office, nothing happens. The second recognizes the printer and says it is connected, but it does not recognize the printer. In the meantime, I can turn around and print something on the computer to work immediately after I try to print on the other. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very happy! Thank you.

    Hi @AdminGuy,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you have a HP Officejet Pro 8630 e-all-in-one printer is connected to two computers via a wireless network, the main one has no problem printing, but the printer is not responding to print jobs sent from the second PC. I would like to help with that.

Is the PC that does not work with the printer to Apple or Windows computer, and what operating system is running?

If it's a Windows PC, try to download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor. This tool can diagnose and solve many problems of printing software and printer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8630: how to install additional color on the 8630 printer cartridges

I just bought an Officejet Pro 8630 with additional color print cartridges.  I went through the instructions but I do not understand where they tell me to insert additional color cartridges.  I've looked everywhere but I still can't find where they need to be installed.  I installed the original color of 3 and 1 black cartridge supplied with the printer in the tray as shown, but when he got to the extra, I'm lost.  I can't find the instructions to install these additional color cartridges anywhere.

    Hello

You cannot install additional color cartridges, the printer uses 4 ink cartridges (black, yellow, Magenta and Cyan).

Additional color cartridges included in the box are intended for future use, once the original ink cartridges is exhausted.

    Kind regards

  • HP Officejet Pro 8630: 8630 Pro HP Officejet printing problems

I'm trying to print from Printmaster Platinum 18.1 to the printer Officejet Pro 8630.  I tried using a network connection and a direct connection, it seems not to matter.  When I check the printer icon, it shows it's queue, and then print.  The message on the printer printing runs for awhile, thenprints 1/2 "of the document then stops and spits out the paper.  My old HP printer never had problems printing of this software.  Any idea what the problem might be?

I tried to download and install the latest drivers and it does not change the issue.  He still hangs with spinning print button and print only 1/2 "of the document and spit the paper without completing the print job.

I have no problem printing from other programs. I tried to print a different document from Printmaster and it printed fine. It is just a document. I finished by exporting as jpg and managed to print that way. Thanks a lot for your suggestion. If I have other questions, I'll install the 9800 driver.

  • OfficeJet pro 8630 + is not centered copy - printing and scanning ok

Older than two months Officejet Pro 8630 (> 400 pages) - copies of plate or charger are shifted to 3/8 of an inch on a side. Printing from computers or scanning is centered.

    FDP1CN1416AR firmware version

Using tray 2 by default. Tray 1 is used for printing the envelopes.

    Thank you

I found that turning on/stop margin shift and turning on the margins by default button a few times eventually set the output to the centered normal copy.

If the settings are now to original (shift off and default on) the printer now copies centered. Must have been a burp of firmware. If that happens again once I try a hard reset to clean.

    Thanks anyway.

    Hello

1 are you getting this error when trying to install the drivers for the printer from the CD?

    2. what exactly is the problem that you are facing with the printer?

This problem may occur if the files on the CD are corrupt. You can download the current "Full Feature" software and drivers from the HP Web site at: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=3752456&

  • OfficeJet Pro L7590 can print but not scan

My printer (Officejet Pro L7590) can print and copy correctly, but the scan function - that has worked well at the same time - has just up and stop working, and my attempts to solve the problem simply go round.

    • When I try to scan using the button start scan on the printer, I get an error message saying 'no scan options '.
    • When I try to open the solution Center, it is said that he cannot run because the installation is not complete.
    • Uninstalling and reinstalling the software (latest version, which is three years, downloaded from the HP website) do not work. The software seems to go through the process of installation very well, but crashes on the stage finish ("product configuration"). Eventually it times out.
    • Once in this case, the installer downloads a supposed solution of the HP Web site. He told me that it is fixing the problem and asks me to restart the computer, saying it will continue after the restart. After I restart, the procedure does not continue, and the problem is not fixed - all the behaviors I describe above are still occurring.
    • Also downloaded one file with other solutions supposed to this question. They do not work. For the most part, they are variations on "run the setup software again", preceded by various other measures. However, when I do this, it re-not installing - it is a completely different window, and if I try to go back to the installation procedure, he refuses, telling me the software is already installed. (And yet when I try to open the solution Center, he always tells me it is not installed.)
    • Tonight is the third time I tried to troubleshoot it. On three occasions, I just gave up in frustration after a few variations of the cover above.
    • I'm this end =><= to="" going="" all="" office="" space="" on="" this="" printer="" and="" getting="" a="" new="" one="" based="" on="" the="" abhp="" principle="" -="">Anything But HP.

I can't emphasize enough that it worked in the past and this basis still printing very well (with the exception of some strange problems with certain PDF files), but scanning has broken since my last round of hardware upgrades and refuses to be fixed.

It's incredibly frustrating. Someone just make it work with minimal BS, as he has done before.

I realize, this is a follow up very, very late, but apparently the problem has something to do with the 32-bit version of Windows 7 running. I recently installed the 64 bit version and now have no problem with any HP software.

Well, except that sometimes he asked my permission to do an update then fails to actually download the update (I get the same "could not connect to content url" error message that many others reported here).

Other than that, which is slightly annoying, but doesn't really affect what anyone, everything works fine now.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600, HP printer wizard installs not when the software is installed from the CD

HP Officejet Pro 8600 e printer all in one

    Windows 7

I had Assistant printer installed and working on my computer at least a year, then there was an update and it no longer works.

I uninstalled the device and the software and reinstalled both on-site and directly from the CD without success.

The only error I get is when I start everything first install it and there is a red "x" next to the update of windows.

The installation process ends, the computer will recognize the printer and I am able to print but I have no control any function because none of these options in the wizard for the printer are turned on.  They are all grayed out.   The most important thing I need is the archiving of received faxes.

Someone else in my family had the same problem, but was able to reinstall from the Web site and doesn't have any more problems.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi liluno18,

I want to help you with this question. I send you this link to the Microsoft forum on how to fix the red X on windows update. Follow the response from Joseph M.

So I suggest you do a complete uninstall software of the JO 8600 and reinstalling the software once you have windows update works again.

Let me know if you need help, I would be happy to help you.
