HP Officejet Pro K550 will not appear in Snow Leopard 10.6.3
When I try to print, I get an error message. I installed the new software of the printer from the Snow Leopard 10.6.3 install disc as the software on the HP site is only 10.6.2. Printer is ready but-mistake. Printer was a network of airports on an old computer running Panther, now connected via USB to a MacBookPro upgraded to OS 10.6.3. I'm so frustrated I could tear my hair out!
The printer is connected directly to a MBP or shared between both of them? I'm a bit confused on this point.
Your printer isn't a K550 plain or has he the ability to network (the K550 has a dtn suffix or such)?
Do a software update, and then reset the printing system:
-Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (Ctrl) click the box of the print queue and select Reset Printing System.
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

I tried all the instructions release possible jams printer, deleted and reinserted the printheads and clean the rollers. When you press the keys on the front of the printer, it will not print a test page. and no led error display.
The printer has been connected to another computer and stopped working last summer. The printer does not respond to commands from the computer, nor would he respond to the keys on the front of the printer itself. I can get the printhead to move using the controls on the front of the printer, however. The printer is not currently connected to any computer and the nearest computer has not installed the appropriate drivers. Initially the printer is connected to a desktop computer Dell Windows XP (sp 3).

My new HP Officejet Pro 8600 will not scan more than 300 DPI when scanning individual photos on the glass plate. I do not use the document feeder. I use this printer wireless on an iMac and a PC.
Hello
You can pass the value of hp scan: launch of the demand application, select the shortcut to scan (PDF or JPG to the left) and change the resolution you want and save.
This will send down the printer settings. So the next time you scan, the printer uses these settings.
Good impression.

OfficeJet Pro 6978 all-in-one: OfficeJet Pro 6978 / will not download drivers
I just bought this printer Office Jet Pro 6978, All In One Printer. It won't let me download the driver listed in the steps to implement, it fails every time. I tried to use the CD that came with it, it gave me a message "this computer's operating system is not supported." So this printer will not work on my 64-bit? Or elsewhere? My computer is a HP. Where can I find a download driver for this printer for my operating system? When it prints, it prints a nonsense. % beginprolog % beginresource: file and so on with such things. I am at a loss... Any help would be great.
Hello
Sorry, but the printer is not supported on Windows Vista 64-bit.
64-bit support is only available in Windows 7 or later operating systems.
You can find the printer specs below:
Vista 64-bit is not supported.
You must upgrade your operating system to a later version to use instead an OS 64 - bit, Windows Vista 32 - bit to insall or replace it with another printer, compatible with your operating system.

I thought I had followed the instructions allegedly simple re plug my new printer HP Officejet Pro 8620 in turn. Something to do with the connection via ethernet? I plugged it with a money USB cord.
Then, when I tried to print something printable HP, the site does not recognize or find my printer.
I also can't seem to print envelopes of various sizes. The instructions to keep your printer drivers on the evolution of the saying.
Can you please help? The saleswoman of Staples said it would be easy. HAH!
Thank you for your time and let me ride my rants. I enjoy your site and it.
Hello
HP pads are only available in the network connection, and no USB connection.
To connect the printer to the network yoru connect it to your router wirelessly or through an Ethernet cable to any of the router LAN port, then you can activate printable HP.
You must reconfigure the printer by opening the HP Officejet Pro 8620 software, and then click the utilities tab.
Click Printer Setup and software and follow the steps to connect to a network printer.
To set a custom size support size envelope follow these steps to configure the size within the confiugration forms your system, then the size configured support will be available in the print driver.
You can follow these steps to set a medium size custo:
Note that the printer supports a size order of 76 to 216 mm (3.0 to 8.5 inches) wide and 127 to 356 mm (5.0 to 14.0 inches) long. any value higher or lower is not supported and is not listed by the print driver.

Now my HP Officejet Pro more will not print Photos or anything else!
Here I am once more. I finally solved the problem that I had been downloading the software for my HP printer after that I downloaded Windows 10. I could not download any software without getting an error message 'download cancelled '. I was able to print pictures and letters typed with WordPerfect X 6. I'm embarrassed to say that I accidentally fell into the solution and now I can scan, send faxes again. Yay! Problem is NOW, I'm more able to print photos, or anything else! I go through all the motions and send the message to the printer to print, but nothing happens. I have already run the hppiw.exe and configure the printer. When I try to run the HPPSdr.exe, he unzips the file, the printer appears as "installed" and click on the 'Next', I get a screen with 3 different ways to connect the printer to my computer - I choose USB because it'S the way I was connected. Then I get a message telling me to do that my printer is on (it is)! and try a different USB port (I have) or try another USB cable (I HAVE!) OK, so FINALLY I get to the point where I am able to print on a HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g series Print Page of Diagnostic quality, AND DOES IT! But I also know there is a problem with the software and I need to uninstall and click the Support link and the Driver to download new software. But when I click on the link, I'm told I'm not connected to the internet - here we are again. I'm exhausted. I am 65 years old and I've been at this for 96 hours. I've corrected the problems of scanning, but now I can't print while yesterday I was able to do it! Arrrrggggghhhhhh.
Can someone tell me why I get the message 'not connected' when in fact I AM connected to the internet? sigh/smh

The printer works properly from the computer with Wi - Fi. The copy of front button works correctly to print a copy of the document on the scanner. But when you run the HP Scan 3 application, the error message is displayed: scanner communication cannot be established. OfficeJet Pro 8600 [CDD814] is currently unavailable. Make sure that your device is turned on, check the connection and make sure that your network is working properly. If these conditions are correct, restart the device and try to scan the image. After clicking OK, the unexpected fast HP scanning error button appears. Turning then does not cause the parser should appear. Using the system preferences > Print & Scan shows the printer but does not show the scanner. By selecting the button scan in the box dialog does not reveal a scanner. Device is only 1 month. Help!
I have connected to the Live cat HP, which has accompanied me through the process. It turns out that I had to delete the printer, then turn off the router and the printer. Reload the drivers from the CD. Reboot the router and the printer, and then run the installation program. Seems the router, "forgotten" on my printer and scanner. Thank you, HP!

OfficeJet Pro 8210: Officejet Pro 8210 will not print - need to finish the setup message
I have installed, implemented the 8210 OfficeJet Pro, HP Universal print driver HE managed mode, installed ink cartridges and printer alignment sheet printed.
I plugged it in via USB, and the system set up the printer correctly. I went to print a test page and the printer displays the following message:
'To print, you must complete the installation. Press OK and follow the instructions or choose? ». I press OK, but nothing is displayed, it just goes back to the main menu and the help screen is useless.
I can print reports in the menu of the printer very well, it will not just print the system Windows 10.
I've implemented 8 of them exactly the same way with no problems. I think I can try free managed mode.
Does anyone know how to reset the printer to factory specifications, so I can restart the entire process to help self-directed mode?
I took a cat with HP to solve the problem yesterday. We had to install the full version of the software rather than the base driver.
It's strange because I had a different Pro OfficeJet 8210 on my work system a few days earlier by using the old driver.
In any case, it worked, so the problem is solved. Sorry for without closing the post earlier.

My Officejet Pro K 550 printer, has lost its ability to print blue ink, but I tried to change the cartridge. Other colours and black work well. Can you give me any advice as to what may be wrong?
Hi Linda,.
I found some of my colleagues who have worked on this printer. There are some things to try, however, it is not all good news.
The engineer estimated that on the print head nozzles may be clogged for 2 reasons. The first is that there is only some residue ink. Here's what he said: "perhaps you can suggest to the customer to try to remove the print head (just the print head which has cyan nozzles), use a cotton pad or damp cloth to clean the residue of ink around the nozzle. Replace the printhead, and then do the cleaning sequence that the manual says. This procedure might be able to recover some scenarios of nozzle clog, but he's going to use up little ink. »
However, it may be that air took the print head: '. '. If the print head is deprimed, that means air penetrated in a certain room after turning on which can never be purged, causing not able to sink more ink. In these cases, I think that the print head should be replaced. »
The engineer also spoke with assurance of customer, who believes that this particular product is past its end of life, which means that it is technically longer than Hp designed to operate. I know that you only had 3 years, but you want to be aware of this.

OfficeJet Pro X476dw: Officejet Pro X476dw will not stay connected!
I've been struggling with my printer is connected via the wireless connection. Recently, I thought it may be the firewall and had my disable the firewall administrator (which did not help). I have several devices working on my wireless network, and none of them (with the exception of the HP printer) have no problem to stay connected.
Here are the questions:
- When I am able to connect to the wireless printer, sometimes it says connected but still does not print.
- Connects and disconnects randomly. So I go back in the connection process.
- Sometimes when connection it does not recognize / 'see' my router, which is 2 feet away. I turned off my whole system and rebooted and the printer still does not recognize the network.
I did the following, with no relief:
- Close my entire system (computer, modem, printer and router) and restarted.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer.
- Reset printer factory (to start).
- Recycled turned off and rebooted my router.
- Confimred my router had the latest Firmware.
- Ran each diagnosis available through HP and all he says is that it is not connected (duh!)
My hardware is as follows:
HP Probook s 4540, running Windows 10 (64)
OfficeJet Pro X476dw
ASUS AC3100, RT-AC88U router
Please respond with any ideas/suggestions. I really like this printer for my small business when it's working, but at this point if I can't get this resolved fine goodwill that I can't spend more time trying to get it operational.
Thank you for your time and help!
Thanks for the clarification! I'll take a look and respond back!

All-in-one Officejet Pro L7780: driver HP Officejet Pro L7780 will not install with Windows 10
Recently, my HP Officejet Pro L7780 stopped printing. I uninstalled the driver and then reinstalled the driver from the HP website. Every time, when installing, I get a message that "bing bar does not work on this version of Windows. Once the installation is complete, the test page is fine but I can't print from one of the applications (e.g., WORD, Adobe Acrobat, etc.), getting an "Error printing" message, rather than each time.
I use Windows 10. The printer was working fine since I've upgraded to Windows 10 until recently.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver several times as suggested on the HP website. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem.
Thank you.
Hello @AMNYC2015and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see that you are having errors in the print driver. I would like to help!
I recommend to remove the cartridges ink and starting by a power reset. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.
I also recommend running the HP Print and Scan doctor.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. If this solves the problem, click on accept the Solution below, as well as others to find the answer.

Yes... Once again... Another question about the famous OfficeJet Pro L7580 all in one.
I can't write all the IP settings and get the machine to save. No matter how many times I try, it's always defaults to "automatic" and when I print the network settings page I get all the relevant numbers as 0.0.0.0. I tried the network diagnostic tool, I have read all the instructions, I am a network expert. I searched this problem on Google and all I see is to throw this thing in the trash.
I also downloaded the official patch from HP for Windows 7 64 bit network, but when I try to run this fix, it is said that the patch is not provided for Windows 7.
Should I trash this thing or is there a fix. ?
Thank you
Thank you

OfficeJet Pro 8620: Officejet pro 8620 will not be printed by RDP
We have a new OfficeJet 8620 Pro that we have just set up in a remote office. The user connects via rdp and vpn to another office in our network. When we connect it cannot print. I installed the drivers on the local destination computer. The printer prints from two computers as well. "Through RDP the print job is sent to the computer local and drtops but I get an error Windows 372, printing Service:"
The Remote Desktop redirected Printer Doc document, held by xxx, failed to print on printer HP Officejet Pro 8620. Try printing the document again, or restart the print spooler.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers and the printer on the computer the remote and that has not worked. I found this: http://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=4aa0-8465enw&404m=secure-erc
It seems to imply that the 8600 series need another type of driver but I can't find the driver that he needs.
Any help would be appreciated.
You can resolve this problem by installing the driver Laserjet 6980 on your print server as an additional driver for your printer.
