  Hi all

  Recently, I sent my Satellite A30 for repairs because the touchpad is dead. Since I had 'fix', his erratic behavior. Sometimes, I lost all the horizontal movement, with only the operation of the vertical direction.   I have a portable P-50 C and since I upgraded to Windows 10, I had problems with my mouse. If the needle touches accidentally any link, it locks automatically, without my volition. It's particularly irritating when I leave just apage unintentionally because the pointer was pointing in this direction. I don't know how to solve this problem.   I have the same laptop with the same problem - I knew not that it was linked to windows 10 but if it is, then it has not been resolved with the last anniversary windows update. Unfortunately the drivers for the touchpad seem to lack the possibility to reduce the sensitivity or disable the tap to click function.

  My Satellite 5200 Series has a scroll wheel PHYSICS to the title of the two touchpad buttons 'the mouse'. I found a useful feature heavily but cannot find all the current models that have preserved it.

  Most modern laptops using a touch pad have a scrolling function software (which can be disabled if you wish) to control automatic scrolling. This is very useful for navigation text in Word documents or web pages etc., the technique (when enabled) is to set the top left or right of the touchpad to 'activate' and by touching this area temporarily, it will change the pointer of the foam to indicate the auto scroll option. Then only, drag the pointer slightly down and the screen starts to scroll until you tap the key again.

  A manual scroll mechanism is also available and can be used simply by stroking the right side of the touchpad (down to scroll down and up to scroll to the top) and the bottom of the touchpad to scroll left and right.

  I find these features useful, but I know other people who find them extremely irritating. It is useful to check.

  My name is Bill, and I bought a Satellite A100 6 months.

  I am facing a strange problem with my touchpad. More precisely, the right button does not respond. Sometimes it automatically snaps and other time she made a left click unlike my settings that I put to right click.

  Yesterday I bought a brand-new C50 of Satellite. Everything works fine, except the TouchPad allow me to scroll. Time scrolling with two fingers and a finger on the side do not work.   Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  The only option of this problem is the following.  Wait for Microsoft to update the following list of drivers and software patches on the short time or return to windows 8.1.  With any operating system to update the first week, it comes out is a risk as to what happens to work 100% or not.  When dealing with some of the equipment of mobile takes custom drivers, software and general functions can work but not all of the additional features.

  There are a few possibilities to find in Windows (probably more with Toshiba utility).

  For example, use Microsoft info system (msinfo32.exe) and see what he says for system SKU or model of system (summary system, top of page).   It doesn't seem to be a consistency between manufacturers, some respond to one or the other or leave unnecessarily incomplete.

  Another method is to use wmic.exe (in a cmd window):

  Having bought just a ClickMini to replace my trusty booklet 100 there are a number of things that I hope that other users or experts of the forum can help me with.

  (1) does anyone know how to DISABLE (OFF) tapping to click on the ALPS "mousepad". Having served in a "nipple" and appropriate, click bars this 'feature' doesn't quite work for me, giving of false activations more often than I like. Note I looked at the properties of the filling in the Panel, and it is from this that the plate is not active (which is) or that it cannot be changed.   Go to the Windows classic desktop (not the tile-GUI modern), look for the battery indicator in the taskbar at the bottom right, double click it to expand, and it shows the status of the two batteries.

• Split x Touchpad 2-problem after upgrade to 8.1 Windows

  I bought this Split x 2 a week ago and it came with WIndows 8. Everything worked great until I upgraded to WIndows 8.1. Now my Touchpad freezes a few times and I have to sign out and then sign back in to my profile to unlock the touchpad sometimes I can get it to unlock by resetting the version touch screen buttom.

  I called HP customer service and they said it was a matter of Microsoft and transfer me to them. Microsoft said that it was a hardware issue (HP) and that I had to return to the store where I bought it.
  (BestBuy). I took it yesterday at BestBuy and they gave me a knew one. I did the same thing and upgraded to Windows 8.1 and questions of touchpad is back. So fairly sure is not a hardware problem.

  All windows updates are completed

  I checked the Touchpad Driver and it is up-to-date.

  NOTE: I plugged a wireless mouse for my laptop and when the touchpad freezes wireless mouse still works.

  Does anyone know a fix for this problem? Everything else works fine on the laptop is just very annoying when you work and you need to close the session to get your touchpat to work again.

  Go to the Generic USB (two of them) hub in Device Manager.

  Go to the power management tab

  Uncheck the box allowing the computer to turn off this device to save power.

  Turn it back on.

  My touchpad stopped everything by searching for a solution on this forum. I have 'unchecked' boxes and the touchpad are property to life before the reboot. He has worked since then. (three days)
