I closed my HP OMNI 220-1125 desktop computer and when I have it turned back and put my password said he could connect... has not changed the password and I'm the only one who uses the computer and who lives in my house... I tried to do a reset and he asked a sort of password reset disk?

I don't have that... Help... How can I return to my office...

    Hello

    You can try the following.

Shut down the PC.  Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  If windows will load in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point at least 24 hours prior to the issue of logon and then proceed to the restoration.  When you are finished, Windows will restart as normal in order to check if you can now connect correctly.

Another option if the above does not help is as follows.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Start using last good known Configuration" and press ENTER.

  • Omni 27-1100d: reset password BIOS for Omni 27-1100d

    Hello

I try to use VirtualBox to run Ubuntu 14.04 x 64 but I got this message

"Acceleration hardware VT-x/AMD-V is not available on your system. Your 64-bit host fails to detect a CPU 64 bit and will not be able to start. »

When I try to enter the BIOS Setup, it always ask for password. How do reset you password BIOS for HP Omni 27-1100d?

From what I understand from the internet, I can force the BIOS to reset by altering the checksum or removing the CMOS battery. Is there another way? I want to just erase the BIOS password not the configuration of the BIOS.

    Thank you.

    PS:

    I use HP Omni 27 - 1100d, dual boot Windows 7 (OEM) and Ubuntu x 64 14.04.

You can clear the BIOS password using the procedure described in the motherboard specifications document. There is no need to remove the CMOS battery, that would probably remove the current BIOS settings.

  • Satellite A110-351 - fan stopped working

Hi, this is Michael from the Hungary,

There is 1.5 years, I bought an A110-351, last year I had these problems:
1.:when, I turn on my A110, he asks for a bios password. So I contacted my local toshiba authorized service center to solve this problem.
They said that is not covered by the warranty.
So I came and they charged me about 120 USD to remove this password BIOS-thing.
And now when I was looking for new drivers, I noticed my problem in this bulletin (Document ID: 98082361):

".. The appearance of this problem on any particular computer is unpredictable - it may never happen, but it can happen any time the computer is turned on. If this problem occurs, it will be necessary to send the computer to Toshiba authorized service provider, which will fix the problem free of charge for you. »

2: after that, I was happy that I can work with my Toshiba, then an another problem cams:
The fan noise was weird, and after a few days, it is almost stopped working (no significant air ventilation).
So I contacted the service center again, and the others were still mentioned above... charged me again.

Guaranteed, Yes... I have the warranty until 2009-05-09. But I don't think that means anything. So I don't think that I would recommend to anyone I know in the future.

Any response? I made a few mistakes, or what is normal?

    Hello

    You're talking about this document:
_New BIOS corrects market password incorrect prompt_
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/bulletin.jsp?soID=1863789

First of all it is a Toshiba page we and your model of laptop is not referenced, so it's really hard to say if your laptop could be affected...

In addition, the doc also says this:
+ If this problem occurs, it will be necessary to send the computer to Toshiba authorized service provider, which will fix the problem free of charge for you. +

So you have to pay for it I recommend contact the ASP in your country and clarify this issue.

In addition if you warranty is still valid, then the question module cooling must be set free warranty covers replacement of defective parts

    Welcome them

  • How to level a T61 HDD for one SSD without reinstall?

Hi all. I bought this ThinkPad, I write with back in 2008 (a T61 6465-CTO with Vista and Intel integrated graphics) and he has been working a lot to me since then. I had no problems with it and his equipment is still able to manage what I have to do. However, I wanted to move her to an SSD HARD drive is faster and snappier. I know that I have would be limited at SATA1 speeds with this camera if I don't want to change the BIOS (which I did not), but I think that even this would be a great improvement on the existing HARD drive.

To that end, I recently bought an SSD that their prices have dropped slightly (bought a new 120 GB SSD Samsung 840 for less than $100). I said SSD sitting next to me now but I did nothing yet because I want to make sure that I have the right to clone the old disk and swap in the new process. From what I understand instructions, I should:

1 turn on the computer, install the Samsung Data Migration Software
    2. connect the SSD to a USB port via a USB-SATA Adapter
3 clone the main for the SSD connected HARD drive using the software of data Migration
    4. turn the computer off, physically remove the old HDD and SSD in its place
5 turn on the computer and everything should be fact/same as before (with the exception that the computer has a new storage drive)

    Is this correct?

The HARD drive is encrypted so I removed the password for user/master I have to enter when it starts up, but what I have to do the same for the BIOS password that I am invited to when you turn on the computer? What the hidden; restore partition would clone too much or it would be lost. The HARD drive is in my opinion a 160 GB model, while the SSD is 120 GB but I have read that this difference in capacity should not be a problem since I'm using less of the new disc capacity (I have about 100 GB of free space on the HARD disk)?

Sorry for all the questions. I have very little experience when it comes to changes in the software/hardware and I really would like to avoid wasting it so I would appreciate any help from people who have knowledge fact how to do this successfully. Thank you.

The installation that you want to be cloning is optimized for spinning a player - not SSD - and you would have to align in a first time, disable the services later and again, you would not get the performance of a "clean" installation

You can use any disk Vista installation as long as it matches the version (Home, Pro, full) on your COA - the worst that can happen is that you would have to call MS and activate by phone.

I had the question why you want to the outdated drivers and other bloat Lenovo recovery partition on expensive SSD space as well, but it's your call. If you provision the reader - and I think you should - you won't initially that much space...

TRIM running manually is certainly a possibility, but not one that I'm particularly sharp, especially on a small disc of TLC as the Samsung you have. You will need to be on it for not to have slow down for analysis.

    Good luck.

  • HP 350 G1F7Y99EA: update BIOS HP 350 f.11 to f.12 G1

For 3 months I have a HP 350 G1 F7Y99EA, which has been transformed into 8 GB and a Kingston mS200 SSD 120 GB mSata has been added as well.

My system drive is on the HARD drive but the OS (Win7 pro x 64) is on the SSD and I start from there.

I have 4th card mother (!) since the first (BIOS f.13) did not have the mSata, the second port (BIOS f.12) became BSOD 0x0000007b error and the 3rd (BIOS f.13) was producing invalid checksum BIOS and reset.

If the current MB (4th, BIOS f.11) works perfectly and is very fast.

Windows has been installed by me at the disk at the beginning (1 MB) and subsequently migrated to the SSD.

My QUESTION and my request for help:

Can I update the BIOS to f.12?

(this is the current version of HP offer, they do not offer f.13 (!) and as they point out: "NOTE: HP highly recommend transitioning to this version of BIOS update without delay. '")

I would have ignored, if I had not noticed that with the BIOS f.11 my SSD is about 20% down on performance (measured with Passmark performance test 8). I should also mention that the 3D graphics performance are rising close to 66%. No changes to the chart or SSD.

BIOS f.11 is also available for download, it would be possible after upgrading to f.12 return to f.11?

Thank you, I appreciate your opinion

    Greg

    Update:

I upgraded BIOS f.12, everything goes perfectly well.

Performance for SSD and graphics problems have been resolved by optimizing the parameters and by installing new drivers.

  • OfficeJet pro 8500 wireless problems

    Hello

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more printer, set up my wireless network. It is connected to my Linksys E2000 wireless router (wireless, do not use the LAN cable). I print from my Win7 64 bit laptop, my iPhone / iPad (via airprint).

This configuration is used to work perfectly, and 1 day to the other, I can not connect to the printer. I think that this happened after the printer has proposed an update of the firmware. No changes have been made to firmware on my laptop or a router, without the router settings have been changed.

If I use my i-devices, no airprint printer is detected. From my laptop, I get an error indicating that a connection to the printer cannot be established.

I tried selecting the IP manually (192.168.1.120), I did a factory reset the printer and run the wizzard wireless again and finally I connected a router LAN cable direct to the printer. I managed to connect the printer to the network, the network printer diagnostics detects any flaws, but the machine is still invisible to other devices...

    Now, I'm quite stuck...

wingwalker1, is the light on the printer and a solid blue wireless? She has the same IP as before (which is the IP address if it has changed)?

When you say thayt it has not completed the wireless configuration wizard, at - he gave a specific failure message?

I want you to do a reset of network. First turn off the printer and the computer, and then unplug the power to the router for 10 seconds and plug it back. Wait for all lights to come back on the router and turn on the printer and the computer.

Go to wireless menu, reset the network defaults and restart the wireless configuration wizard.

I would like to know how it goes!

  • Delete all snapshots

    Hello

I started all avoid the VM snapshot almost 4 hours ago. It rose to 95% at the beginning and stopped so far. After 90 minutes of waiting, I realized that VM has been activated (oops) so I decided to turn it off while the abduction was still used. Virtual computer system turns off but the machine not. I could not have done yet because (I think) instant withdrawal is underway.

Now, how can I check if the deletion process is still running or that 95% is smth like zomie-process? In fact, this virtual machine is not the one I need, but there are still other virtual machines work so I think that I can not turn all ESX host to break the abduction.

It is important to remove the snapshot when the virtual machine is turned off or does not matter?

It doesn't really matter. However, depending on the workload of the virtual machine and the amount of disk space available on the data store, you need to delete snapshots, while the virtual machine is turned off.

When the virtual machine has a single disk, say 50GB with multiple snapshots, why the data in the file are cut on several files that altogether occupy more than 120 GB, even if snapshots are deleted?

The virtual machine is divided into several files, files of configuration and data files. Each snapshot will start a new file (actually two).

In another discussion you mentioned use you ESX 4.0. What version do you use? With Update 2 and newer you won't usually problems to withdraw several snapshots using the "Clear all" button, but with older versions you could easily run out of disk space if the space is already low.

You will have to troubleshoot my mother-in-law who has a HP Omni 120-1125.  Impossible to find info in the online books

I don't know any button to change the display settings on this computer. However, I think I can help you find the equipment and audio in the control panel. I hope that all you need to do is change the setting "display by. I suspect that right now, it's on one of the icon views.

Open the control panel and in the upper right, click the drop-down list next to "view in:

Whether you are able to remove the power on password, you must remove the back cover, and then remove the metal cover that protects the motherboard and remove the jumper located near the memory modules.

Then try to turn on the system and see if that solved your problem.

  • Product HP Omni 120 - key Windows 8

We bought a HP Omni 120 (120-1333w model). A few months ago, the HD had a problem, their replacement is necessary.
The technician installed Windows 8 Enterprise Edition, but is not original. I need to go back to the original copy of Windows 8, but I'm not finding the product key
I only have the recovery media.

Where can I find the product key of Windows 8?

    Hello

In this case, there are two options available.

    1. you can order a replacement set of recovery media from the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software.  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.

    Order HP recovery disks.

2 as long as your PC is originally shipped with Windows 8, you can create your own installation of OEM Windows 8 flash player.

For more information on how to proceed, see the 3rd post by Hüffer on the following link - Note that this Image file is subject to a ceiling of download, you may try over a period of a few hours before the download starts correctly.
