HP p1102w printer wireless printer problem
Hi, my printer was printing wireless on both computers. But recently, one of the computer lost connection with theprinter. I had to plug it with USB and it works fine. After a few days later, the other computer has also lost the Wi - Fi connection and I am not able to have this wireless printer work. Reset computer, printer, modem, without change. It still does not work!
Hi Tsara,

I already try also reset the printer in factory configurations and install again and nothing.
I really need help to fix this problem, if anyone can help me I want to stay happy.
Thank you and sorry for ortographic errors.
Hi Muurilobf,
Thanks for providing the screenshot. I see 2 registrations for the Laserjet P1102w in the screenshot. What happens when you try to select and continue? (I would choose the Laserjet P1102 at the bottom of the list)
Please provide details, you were able to run the Add Printer Wizard and the IPv4 address and you were able to print, correct?
If you can add the printer in this way, then I would be not concerned about adding the printer through the search option.
Make sure that the Windows Firewall and Antivirus is temporarily disabled when you try to add the printer.
Here is a document to enable the file and printer sharing.

I installed a new router (Netgear R6220) and cannot figure out how to get the P1102w printer to recognize the new router. It shows the former name of the router (Belkin.833) on the test page and displays the IP address configured by AutoIP rather than DHCP as the old router does. The computer is a desktop Dell Dimenstion about 3 years and use Windows 7. The router connects to the computer to the Internet.
Help - How to make the printer recognize and communicate with the new router? (The original installation instructions don't seem to work for me.)
I made an update of the firmware a few months ago and the currtent datecode is 20130703. Allowed to print from my Samsung S2 Tablet through the router.
Here's what finally worked.
1 had to withdraw from old installation CD but Uninstall selected, so I completely shut down the computer. Guy at Best Buy said to "remove the device" but it was not enough.
2. download install the latest software from the HP download site and ran it. (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL32431/bi-80329-11/hp_LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution-v20120831-50157036_SMO.exe)
3 downloaded another file and ran it. (Setup_IP4, [192_168_1_5], [NPI073E2D] _it) Not sure where I found this one, but the software prompted me to run.
Finally, everything works and all devices are wireless printing

Mac Book Pro and HP Envy 110F wireless printing problems
I got my Mac book Pro for Christmas 2013 and initially had no problem printing wireless to my HP Envy 110F, but for some reason, I keep getting problems with printing to the envy of 110. We don't have printing problems with our Ipad for this printer.
I can connect the printer to my Mac book Pro by putting 192.168.1.72 IP address in a web browser, but I get on the symbol bit offline when I print the urge. Last night I reinstalled the printer to print wireless on my mac pro book using a printer cable, which then worked well, but today the same problem reappeared.
I'm starting to think that the problem may have started with the latest version of the update of the operating system to the Mavericks 10.9.4.
All thoughts welcome.
Hi @UKCheshire
Since you are able to print from the iPad to the wireless printer, I suspect you have to something. I think that the question has something to do with the communication between the printer and the computer and not between the printer and the router. Please use the following document to solve the problem; "Printer is off-line" Message appears on the computer and the printer does not print: Mac OS X.
If the problem persists, do not give up hope, let me know and we will work through it together.

My internet is fine, however, my printer/scanner/copier wireless wouldn't work. So........ I uninstalled and installed using the new wireless 'name' to save it. It allows to copy, but not print from my computer. The computer recognizes it but it says it is offline connection and guard my documents in what. In addition, my Epson Stylus NX510 printer still displays a page with my ink level and tells me that it is printing this page appears but does not read my ink level and it says that my printer is ready to print. My wifi lite is on the printer...

Wireless printing problem-Documents stuck in print queue
Original title: printing problem
Until yesterday, I was able to print OK using Windows XP and a pro HP Officejet 8500 wireless. Reported network test wireless (on printer) and report indicates that there are no reported problem, also did the diagnostic test and which shows no problem either. I can't print and documents are just stuck in the print queue - please can someone help, it drives me crazy because it's probably a very simple solution.
I guess you do not have all of the error messages.
It is possible that comes to mind that your printer has received a new IP address of your router (this could easily happen if you have several computers and other devices that connect to your wireless network).
Find the IP address of the printer of his network diagnostic page.
Click Start > printers and faxes, right-click the printer and select Properties
Select the Ports tab, then click on the button "Configure Port" (be careful NOT to click anywhere in the list of ports)
Make sure that the IP address in 'Port settings' is identical to that shown on the diagnosis of your network printer page.Although some printers wireless HP install a driver having a box in the "Parameters of the Port" tab that says always "print to this same device if its IP address changes" it is best to configure the printer to have a static IP address. See your printer User Guide for instructions.
Choose an appropriate subnet address (i.e., has the first 3 groups of numbers the same as the other addresses in your network) but who is not in the range of addresses assigned by the DHCP server on your router. See the User Guide of your router for more details.

Printing problems wireless with Windows 7 Home Premium
Previously, I had Window Vista downloaded on my laptop and had NO problem printing wireless. Now I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I have a modem from my phone company, a wireless router and a Photosmart All printer (C4795). The same one I had with Vista. I just can't get anything to print UNLESS I connect a USB cable from my laptop to my printer (very frustrating). I'm not completely PC illiterate, but not very clever of them either. I uninstalled and reinstall the printer, the router and the modem and that did not help. I had the company of phone on the phone for an hour last night and they could not help and saw nothing wrong with my set up. I need an answer "simply stated and clear" what I have to do. I have a group RESIDENTIAL network set up on my computer, but have not set upt the other computers at home (a laptop) with the network home for the moment. I wanted to get a computer is working correctly before moving forward. The internet connection to the HOMEGROUP network seems to be well. I see that you have problems printing. I would try to help!
First of all, I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.
Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft. You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

P1102w printer is not "readable by this computer.
Hello
I used my laserjet P1102w printer with my macbook pro for about two years, using a USB connection.
I've never had real problems with the printer and it was working fine with my macbook last Thursday night. I tried to print something on Sunday night but when I plug the printer by USB my computer flashes just a window that says "the disk you inserted was not readable by this computer." He refuses to print all documents and does not appear on the computer at all. I tried to reset all settings for printing on the laptop, but the printer does not always appear. I use Mac OS 10.9.5. I had not brought no changes to software over the weekend I would have thought this would cause.
I am a student and really need my printer working again as soon as possible. Can someone help me with this problem? I can't think what else to do.
Thank you, Stephen.
Hi @SJRamsay11,.
I see by your post when you connect the USB cable to the Mac you get the message "the disk you inserted is not readable by this computer. I can help you with this.
Something on the Mac is to recognize the printer such as a hard drive. Because the printer has a feature called Smart Install, which installs only the printing automatically on Windows software.
Try unplugging everything, make a full stop down on the printer, restart the Mac, and then connect the USB to a Mac, while the printer is still off, then start the printer.
You have Parallels installed on the Mac?
Temporarily disable Parallels, for the Smart Install is recognized on the Mac.
If you do not have Parallels, then we will need to turn off Smart Install to install the printer on the Mac.
There are two ways that we can disable it.
Print a configuration page. Printing a Configuration Page.
Select the method two.If the printer has a IPV4 address or the Direct wireless is under tension and indicating an IP address, you can access: the printer Web server integrated and disable the Smart Install from there.
If you have a valid IP address, type the IP address in the Safari browser to bring up the printer built-in Web server and you can disable the Smart installed on the printer.
If it does not, you will need to disable the Smart Install the printer on a Windows computer.
On the Windows computer, go to start, computer, right click the printer CD
and left click Open in a new window, go to Smart Install utility util/siutility.exe/HP.
printer or PC - printer select / click on disable.Let me know how make you out.
Good day!
Thank you. -
HP Laserjet P1102W wireless connection problem
I have a P1102W which worked very well up to what it wasn't wireless. I use an AT & T Uverse 2Wire router and Windows Vista. I have not changed anything, and one day the network would not recognize the wireless printer. I've turned off (unplugged) everything and turned on the back without success. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the printer and have just received a message that the network could not connect to the printer. The printer works when it is connected with a cable, but the blue wireless light just blinks and then turns off - indicating that there are no wireless signal. All other devices and wireless printers on this network work very well. HP support was no help, because the warranty had expired 2 DAYS ago! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi kadmiral,
Follow the steps below.
1 uninstall the printer to the computer using Add/Remove programs in the control panel.
2. download the software and the driver for your operating system from the link below.
HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer drivers
3. follow step 3: connect to the wireless network - second method: Standard connecting with a USB cable
If your wireless router does not support Router Setup (WPS), you can use this method to set up the product on a wireless network. With the help of a cable USB to transfer parameters facilitates establishing a Wi - Fi connection. Once the installation is complete, remove the USB cable. -

Try to print a picture from another application to see if you have the same problem.
To exclude the driver, install a generic driver to see if you have the same results.
- On the computer, go to start, devices and printers, right-click on your printer and select printer properties.
- Click the Advanced tab and click new driver, and then click Next.
- HP Deskjet 9800 by selecting in the list or the Deskjet 990c printer, click Next, Finish, and apply the settings. (you can always go back and revert to the original printer driver)
What version of Word are you using?
If the problem is resolved and you appreciate my help, please click on the "accept as Solution" and the buttons 'Thumbs Up'. Let me know how make you out. See you soon!

I bought a new deskjet 4510 and have installed via usb on my desktop running windows 8.1. This isn't the impression through products of ms office word, excel etc. and either through wordpad. I can print Notepad files and pdf via adobe reader software.
