HP P6040d: Suggestion for upgrade

Hello!

Please answer!

I was intending to upgrade our desktop computer that has been sitting here for a while already. I've read and couldn't find any forum that speaks to me of my problem.

Is it still possible for this desktop computer get good specs? Like, 8-16 GB of ram, nvidia graphics card and 32 to 64-bit?

I would like to use this desktop computer to render my 3d projects, so it is always possible or would it better to buy a new PC instead?

Buy a new PC instead. It peaks at 4 GB of RAM and DDR2, an older type of memory. This is the real deal killer. It supports only the oldest kind of Core 2 Duo processors. It might support a better video card, but there will be a shortage of processing power. If you could get some very cheap upgrade parts it could be minimally useful for CAD or something like that but you would soon be eager to something faster.

  • HP Elite 1090-T H8: seeking your suggestions for upgrading the power supply for a new video card

I have a HP EliteH8-1090 t who is about a year, but with an AMD Radeon HD 6570 low power graphics card and a 450W power supply. I want to upgrade the 650W power to support the installation of a replacement graphics card.

I tried to replace the HP 450W with Corsair TX650 and Corsair TX850 food. The system appears to power (DVD drawer opens and closes, the hard disks spin, fans run) with either a Corsair, he's stuck at this point. My system is unable to enter start mode when either power supply is installed - it seems stuck in a mode of seed, and the monitor still asleep.

Can someone please advise on a compatible power supply for HP system? I'm puzzled by why a simple exchange of a power supply does not work. Just like a record, the system has a card mother Pegatron IPMTB-K (Truckee).

    Thank you!

No problem. I wish you good luck with it. On a positive note the HX650 is a much better than the TX650 ILA unit internal quality and what I like is the best it's quite fan fan much quieter than the TX650 while helping your organization of cable being modular and help keep temperatures cooler in your computer case.

    Any suggestions?

These updates is not supported and Toshiba does not provide any kind of information on compatibility. Usually if laptop owners are not happy with the internal hardware, solution is always external third party material like PSMCIA or USB solution card.

Unfortunately I can't help you with this, and you will be very happy if someone here has made these updates, with success, of course.

  • suggestion for soil moisture sensors that compatible with NI Labview?

any suggestion for soil moisture sensors that compatible with NI Labview? Help me ~ ~!

    Fauzan says:

any suggestion for soil moisture sensors that compatible with NI Labview? Help me ~ ~!

Let me address your concerns about "compatible with NI LabVIEW" by asking you a question. Which soil moisture sensors are compatible with C++? Visual Basic? Visual C? JAVA?

The sensors have a layer connection between himself and the computer. Sometimes, the sensor itself is directly connected to the computer via USB. Most of the time, there is a layer of connection which will interface to the computer - USB, RS-232, GPIB, PCI - and linking the layer is an acquisition of data, or simplified for your application, an analog input Module. It is up to you to set your software to interface with these devices.

Now, I don't want to insult your intelligence. I bet you already know such things. But your question reads as if you have the same false ideas about LabVIEW with many people. That, LabVIEW is somehow a direct interface with the hardware, and you just bought sensors and LabVIEW magically presents the data. No matter what some people well planned would have you believe, this is not the case.

OK, so take for example this soil moisture probe. It displays 0 to 3 volts and costs $30. So now we need a way to measure the voltage and send blood pressure data to a computer. We use USB. This thing right here will do the job and then some, for only $50, and is compatible with LabVIEW. My point is - LabVIEW is compatible with the device that ultimately connects to the computer - the sensor is simply a device of voltage output.

I am not affiliated with or endorse I receommend or two devices, I've linked to, they were simply the result of a 10 second google search.

  • Suggestions for netbook?

    Hi all

I saw a couple of discussions concerning the performance of netbook, but I always look for further reflections on if a netbook (and suggestions for that one) might be appropriate for the application.  I currently have a system of two instruments that are controlled through Windows using their respective controllers (8110 s).  These two systems of taste at rates high (250 kHz on 10 channels for one and 2.5 MHz on 8 channels for each other) but the product data analyzed at a frequency of 1 Hz.

For each instrument, I'm going back over the sampling period with the option to return as large spectra of variable data double-precision about 100 to 125.  The amount of interaction is relatively small, because most of the acquisition parameters is defined in the software and the user usually only monitors the signals to determine the course of the experiments.

Due to weight limits, I'll have to use a simple notebook to monitor and control both instruments.  And because we are near the limit, it takes literally every ounce (where the netbook).  Although I didn't exactly understand the topology of the network for this (in addition to the two instruments stream to the user interface, I'll also have to broadcast several variables of another instrument), I start to think that a reasonable option would be to use a laptop for the two instruments of control and collect data (whether in the RT or using the Windows operating system).  In both cases, I expect two PXI controllers to do most of the heavy lifting in terms of the analysis while the host computer will be strictly collection and display data.  Anyone has any ideas on this, particullarly if it is a reasonable use of netbooks or if there might be a better solution?  Any ideas would be useful.

    Peace, Matt

I have one of the older ASUS EEEpc (1000 h), comes with a version of XP Home.  However, I ran XP Pro, Vista Home Premium and Windows 7 RC on this laptop without problem.  Typical specifications on a netbook (I checked last) are a ~1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom CPU and 1 GB of RAM.

If you are limiting the payload on the netbook there probably not a handling problem you throw. You can accelerate things by adding more (and faster or higher quality) RAM, turn off the eyecandy OS in Windows Vista/7, turning off unused hardware (bluetooth, wifi, etc.) and using a SSD hard drive...

Once you have identified a likely candidate netbook, you might google search guides and reviews (Newegg and Amazon have generally reviews decent, Toms Hardware and other tech sites might have more official comments/benchmarks). Graphics processing is usually where these laptops hurt, but all-in-all, they are surprisingly capable machines.

    Good luck!

    Hello

What is the new portable Haswell? This laptop supports modules SODIMM DDR3 1600 MHz, but take a look what original config is. HP uses memory especially two modules config so if there are already 8GB it will be probably 2 x 4 GB modules. I recommend this one:

    Original title: Windows 7

I keep getting pop ups for upgrades to Windows 10 and my only choices are "Annex to the later" or "Start update now".

I don't want Windows 10 now, not later. I have Windows 7 and want to keep it this way.

GWX - ultimate Outsider Control Panel

Would remove the popup Windows 10 completely.

    Hope that helps.

  • BlackBerry smartphones a few suggestions for future releases blackberry OS

    Hello

I hope that it reaches the right developers. I just had some suggestions for the future blackberry phone software (OS).

It should be an option to use the memory card to save data such as messages, e-mail, telephone directory, applications etc. This would prevent the messages are automatically deleted. At least the user should be warned etc. messages are deleted instead of remove them automatically!

Blackberry desktop software should also be able to back up third-party software.

There should be an option by which we can password protect applications/inbox/etc. individual according to our prefrance rather than to have just a password to lock the entire phone. In this way we can let someone use our phone, playing games, but do not have access to private data or personal information.

In the address book, we should be able to create a custome as Mobile 2, Home 3, etc. These days have several mobile phones, and it's boring store the secondary number in the pager, or other category. It is a basic solution and I am surprised blackberry doesn't have this option.

BlackBerry should also support youtube and also reording video.

Another feature that I suggest is related to the contact filter option. At present, we can select only a single filter to contact both. Now, it would be great if we have a mechanism by which we can select several filters in this way:

If I want to select all the people that are in the filter of the USA and who work for company X, I can choose the filter "and" in which the two categories are adapted (2 or more categories).

If I want to select people who are either in the United States or work for company X (I choose the filter 'or' for this).

You can have a function special directory where we choose to display only the phone numbers frequently and can put all the numbers that we use that often in a master directory. It would be convenient to so many people!

When sending SMS to multiple people, please select each individually. It would be nice if we could quickly select using checkmarks next to the person as a whole rather than separately.

We should be able to add the email as 'spam' of the handheld is.

We include a reminder of birthday for contacts, which is separate from the calendar option.

There is no weather app that comes with the blackberry! This a must and should be included.

Better and more realistic, as the navigation in the iphone. Web sites display in a way very non-eco-friendly and most of the pages are not available easily.

We should have a shortcut button to compose text messages just as we can press 'c' as quick make up for email.

These are just some thoughts I had on the way to improve the phone. Of course, applications are somewhat biased based on my needs but I really hope that some key developers fall on this post and implement these ideas in future versions of blackberry OS.

    Kind regards

    Ishan.

Good ideas. You must submit to [email protected].
