HP Pavilion 13-a113cl: computer HP Pavilion laptop won't wake up from his sleep by the keyboard or mouse

I don't know if it is good advice to post this question in, but I'm having the same problem with two a113cl-13 laptops HP Pavilion running Windows 10 Pro (64-bit). The issue has to do with the awakening of the machines to sleep using the key on the keyboard or the mouse. I'm not having problems with them to wake up from sleep using the button of power or when I open or close them.

I checked the BIOS and power settings are not there. (Version of BIOS F.32)

I have checked boxes to allow devices to wake the computer in the management section of power without success.

I changed the Intel MEI driver with 9.5 instead of 11 which is usually installed without success.

I don't know if there is a problem with the BIOS and Windows 10 or something driver associated. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @jpk717,

Thanks for the information!

Since you have formatted the drive, you must be unable to return to the old operating system, unless you use recovery media.  You can find your product here recovery media:

USB - Windows 8.1 Recovery Kit 64B

You can try to use the recovery media to install the original operating system and see if the problem is resolved.  If you choose not to go down this path, you can try to re - install Windows 10, using the media creation tool.

I hope this helps.

Have a great weekend!

laptop won't wake up from sleep mode

    Hello

    Here's the quickfix.

Set the laptop to sleep instead of Hibernate. Portable computers may have problems with the Hibernate function. Here are the instructions to navigate:

    1. go in Classic view of Control Panel. (Ctrl + ESC, then type 'control' to quickly control panel access)

    2. double-click on the icon power options

    3. click on "change when the computer sleeps.

    4. click on "change power avancΘs."

Go to the menu of sleep and

    value "Allow hybrid sleep": OFF

    * Set the parameter "Hibernate after": NEVER

Note: You need to type the following in the field, what is not there drop down to select.

This is most likely the issue and the resolution. However, here are a few other troubleshooting steps if you have any questions:

  • Computer wakes up from his sleep at night

    Hello

I have a problem of disruptive reeally with my Windows 7 PC: he wakes up from his sleep to ~ 2 hours every night, I put it to sleep and it wakes up again between 3-04:00. Is it possible to limit this, or to diagnose what executable triggers this?

    Thank you
    Levi

Windows performs many tasks during the night, including the work of backup, hard drives and other degragmenting.  These are usually the root cause of the alarms.

You can begin troubleshooting by opening an elevated command prompt * and type powercfg /lastwake to see what woke up the last computer.

    * To open a command prompt, type cmd in the Start Menu, and then press Ctrl-Shift-Enter.

  • Whenever I get an email my computer wakes up from his sleep.

My old modem out crapped so my cable provider gave me a new one that is a newer model.  The old man had a switch that smokers me to disable the internet connection when not in service.  Be able to turn off the modem was useful because it would not transmit emails to my PC when I put it in mode 'sleep'.  If I did not turn this switch provided email in when the machine is in "standby" wake up the machine.  Since the new modem doesn't have this option, it is constantly waking mode ensures by incoming emails.  Is it possible that I can implement something in Windows Vista or IESO that Windows will not wake when the modem tries to send me an email?  My PC is a desk top Dell Inspiron 350 running Vista Service pack 2 and Windows Mail version 6, and I use IE 8.  The modem is a surfboard SBV5222 Moterola.  Thank you.

  • 10 updated Windows now HP Pavilion won't wake up from sleep

Since I upgraded to W10 this week, my laptop now wake from sleep.  I searched on the net and so far cannot find people having problems with their laptop in standby.  I followed the advice of one of those on the HP forum, update a driver, that I thought could not wrong.  It made no difference, however.

When I come to wake my computer, which was always simply lifting the lid, now nothing.  The power indicator lights up in solid and wifi lights up orange (as opposed to his usual white solid while the machine is running).  Other than that, noting.  No tapping of pressing or screen button any it will not bring to life, and the only solution is to hold down the power button to force a complete stop and start again.

Can be only 3 days into it, but it's already driving me crazy.

    Any suggestions welcome!

    Thank you

It is the way I got it to work.

I made an iso of windows 10 Microsoft windows 8 and then downloaded factory restore and reinstalled.

Yes, you will need to first save since you do a factory restore, but so far, he awakens from his sleep when the lid is opened or closed. Also seems faster start and stops correctly also, something he didn't have before. I did not try to roll back to 8 because I've heard of problems this. Don't know if it works for everyone, but it did for me. I hope for good. Will make it count if it changes so no one loses time try.

  • Fingerprint reader does not work after the laptop awakens from his sleep.

    Pavilion DV6-6c15nr

    Windows 7 Home Premium

Fingerprint reader works fine when the computer starts. The drive works fine if I manually lock the system. When the computer enters mode "sleep" through inactivity, then wakes up from his sleep, the fingerprint reader does not work. The player power led does not illuminate, the player does nothing if I drag a registered fingerprint. I must select use authentication information and enter the Windows password. Device Manager says device working properly but it doesn't help. I checked for BIOS, Windows and driver updates but I run in all aspects.

    Hello

Uninstall the software and current driver for the fingerprint reader.

  • Computer won't wake up from sleep with Windows 7 sp1 installed

I have a problem very persistent and annoying.

My office don't always sleep wake. When you wake the computer, fans turn and everything becomes energized, but the screen stays off. The only option at this point is to press on and hold the power button or turn the power off. Windows does not start, run and shutdown normally, but it fails every time trying to wake up from its sleep. The problem started after I installed Windows 7 service pack 1 and disappears if the service pack is uninstalled.

I have a motherboard EVGA FTW3 with a Crucial C300 SSD as my main drive. I thought I had found a solution with http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2495523 but it didn't work. My bios is up to date, the firmware is up to date on my SSD and my the Marvell controller firmware is current. I tried to plug my SSD in the Intel SATA ports (and disable the controller Marvell making) but it did not help. I went through every setting imaginable, with the support of EVGA, tried to turn off "Allow hybrid sleep" in the power of the BIOS settings. The only change I found that 'fixed' the problem is uninstall Windows 7 service pack 1.

    My computer specs:

    Card mother EVGA FTW3

    Processor Core i7 980 x

    Memory Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600 (3 X 4 GB)

    EVGA GTX 580 graphics

Crucial C300 SATA 6.0 Gps SSD

Western Digital 1 TB SATA 6.0 Gps data drive

    NVIDIA 3d Vision Kit

I use the latest drivers for all devices because I clean just installed Windows 4 days to try to resolve the situation.

Beta EVGA Bios recovery mode fixed 80 S3 sleep for me also. Everything seems to work perfectly after that I did the bios flash.

my computer HP G62 laptop won't let me connect to this subject says not found user profile can help you

    Hello

    You can try the following.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  If windows will load in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point at least 24 hours prior to the issue of logon and then proceed to the restoration.  When you are finished, Windows will restart as normal in order to check if you can now connect correctly.

Another option if the above does not help is as follows.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Start using last good known Configuration" and press ENTER.

    Kind regards

I suggest to download and install the Logitech Unifying software and restart the computer and check if it makes a difference. Logitech Unifying software lets you manage your devices that use a Unifying receiver. You can add or remove devices using Wizard of the software or to use advanced mode. The Advanced mode also displays the status of your paired devices, version of the firmware and battery level.
