HP Pavilion 13-a200nx: HP Pavilion 13-a200nx - battery within 6 months of use problem

I get following message start each time the laptop HP Pavilion 13-a200nx after only 6 months of use,... "HP battery alert. The system has detected the following battery storage capacity is very low. For optimal performance, this battery will need to be replaced. (Internal) main battery (601). "Laptop battery is drained from 100% to 0% in 20 minutes. When not supported.

This laptop is bought and used in Saudi Arabia (there are only three service centers in Saudi Arabia). I don't wish 500 Kms to go to the travel service center or do not want to send laptop in the mail toward the Center. I've done "Battery Check" and "AC adapter Test" and the two moved.

Y at - it to do more troubleshooting advice or how to fix this?

Hi @VIN_1976,

Welcome to the HP Forum!

I understand that you found the 601 battery error and you only had your laptop for six months. Did you check the power supply and run the battery check. You live in Saudi Arabia, and there are only three service centres. The nearest is 500 km away, and you do not want to move too far for a repair or send by mail for maintenance.

Here is a link to HP laptops - test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8 that may help.) The question should remain, please contact HP support for help.  Contact HP worldwide

  • Can I install a 2nd video card on my HP Pavilion a6683w desktop PC to allow me to use 2 monitors?

I want to extend my desktop using 2 monitors.  My HP Pavilion a6683w Destop PC has only a port monitor.  I'm wanting to run 2 monitors on it and I was wondering if it is possible to install a 2nd video card (the existing one is a NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430).

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion a6683w. According to specifications, your computer uses an nVidia GeForce 6150SE integrated graphics card and also supports PCI Express x 16 graphics cards. Integrated graphics card is not available if a graphics card is installed. In addition, specifications, your computer has a 250 watt power supply. Most of the retail graphics cards will require a minimum of a 300 Watt power supply.

    From the information above, I think you have two options;

    (1) according to your needs, more an adapter USB-to-video, such as EVGA UV + UV39. This adapter is available on Newegg.com, Amazon.com, and as well as many EVGA.com to other places. It is possible that another brand/model will work as well. This solution is good for day trading, spreadsheets, word documents, web browsing, etc.

    (2) If you do heavy gaming or graphic treatment, I suggest an upgrade of power supply and graphics card. For more information on this topic, see Guide of Dave_G for a discrete video card selection .

No, but understand this isn't a real HP battery. The working hypothesis is simply the ability of the cells. Watt hours. It does not affect the current quantity battery provides the laptop at all times.

Help! I have a HP pavilion elite m9080n with a video card from nvidia 8800GTS installed. Recently, I noticed that when you browse Web pages parts of the page will not render properly (I have attached a screenshot in which I circled the problematic area). It's like the area is transparent and colors are not properly or to its full opacity. I have swapped with a different video card to see if that would fix the problem but it's the same thing with the current map and the replacement of the card. I also tested to see if it is the monitor using 3 different screens and it's the same result. I'm trying to understand what could be the problem. I advanced and ordered a motherboard thinking it could be something to do with the motherboard. Need help please, any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have also passed through many messages from the forum on this issue and have run the Test of battery HP but also checked all the power management settings and they seem to be correctly configured.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi DontLoveWindows,

According to the information that you gave me, it is show that you have 2 installed anti-virus software. Avast and Norton, that run continuously when the printer is in "standby", which could be drain your power.

It also shows that your printer has missing or misconfigured drivers who might be using power as well. Here is a download software HP Photosmart full feature and drivers for your printer.

I suggest that you disable your startup software. To do this:

Right click or tap and hold the lower left corner of the screen and select run.

Type msconfig in the run box, and then press ENTER.

    The MSconfig window opens.

If the user account control window opens with the message Windows needs your permission to continue, click or tap on continue to close the window.
If the Normal startup is selected, follow these steps:

Select Selective startup and clear the check box load startup items.

Click and press Services tab, and then select the hide all Microsoft Services at the bottom of the screen check box.

Click or tap on disable all.

If selective startup is currently selected, follow these steps:

Click and press Services tab, and then select the hide all Microsoft Services at the bottom of the screen check box.

Make a list of the items that are selected. You will need this list to reset your computer startup items later.

Click or tap on disable all.

    Click or tap Apply.

Click or tap on OK. A new window will appear.

Click or tap on Restart to continue.

Once it reboots it put in mode 'sleep' and test to see if this solves the problem. If she then you must enable one of starting at a time until you find that one is causing the problem. Once you have found out what is causing the problem, then you can solve it.

If you need help, then validate the results and I am happy to continue to help you.

  • Keyboard HP pavilion x 2 battery

Need help. Three days ago, I bought a HP pavilion x 2. I like the 2 x, we also want to x 2. Partly due to the life of the battery and the keyboard practice. The problem is that the keyboard battery does not load. It is always 0%. Of course, this reduces the autonomy of the battery of the Pavilion x 2 by what appears about 6 hours!

Is there a hardware problem, or a setting I need to change? Or the friendly people at the HP store sell me something other than what was announced?

    The model number is 11-h100en

I would appreciate urgent comments please!

Hi cre8iveminerlee, welcome to the Forums of HP. I understand that you are concerned about the battery reading 0%.

Only some models of Pavilion 11 X 2 include the keyboard battery. If it is 0% reading, I suspect that yours was not one of the models that include this secondary battery.

If you believe that yours should be provided with a secondary battery, I suggest that you contact the phone support for more options: in North America, dial 800-474-6836 outside North America find your number here The Support of HP support
