HP Pavilion 15 laptop: PC VGA card

Hello

I want to improve the old "Intel(r) HD Graphics 4000' for my Pavilion Notebook 15. Is this possible? Can I replace it with the new graphics card? It will be compatible with i3?

(Also please let me know if this laptop can handle both internal-hard disks, thank you)

Hello

Unfortunately no, you can't. The video chip is soldered on the motherboard.

Kind regards.

I am trying to find out what wireless cards are on my list of white laptops, model No.: 15-e000sa, I want to upgrade if possible. also could you tell me if I am able to update with more ram fast ddr3 1866 or would it just be underclocked to 1600

    Thank you very much

    Hi @slapdash2201

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

To answer your questions on compatible wireless cards and memory, I included the maintenance manual:

HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

Specifications: channel support double DDR3L (1600 MHz), so it is likely that it would just be less quick.

And what follows is listed as of the supported WIFI adapters:

MediaTek MT7630E 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter and adapter Mediatek Bluetooth4.0
    Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi AR9485 adapt
    WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 Ralink RT3290LE and adapter Combo Bluetooth 4.0
    Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter

This doesn't mean you can't try something else, as long as it is compatible in size, but it would mean HP don't would not have custom drivers for it, and so there is no guarantee that it would work.

    I hope this helps.

Currently, I have Intel (r) Graphics 4000 HD but I want to upgrade that newer games seem to need better graphics

    Plug

    OS = Windows 8.1 64-bit

    Microprocesser = Intel (r) Core i3-3217U CPU @ 1.80 GHz

    = 8GB system memory

    Graphics device (1) = Intel(r) HD Graphics 4000

    Resulution = 1366 x 768

    Refresh rate = 60

    Card mother = 2186 35.12

    System BIOS = F.42

    Device audio 2 = Intel(r) Audio display

No, you other options to find a Board that matches your model has a higher GPU built in otherwise your suck with the IGP accompanying you. And if you expect to play games you'll have to spend to get a good laptop to HD running game - more 2000US portable computers consumer will not manage HD gaming to the maximum power to extreme levels and some will manage the settings means only but with many disabled details.

  • Pavilion 15 laptop: Hand graphics card

    Hello.

I jut wondered if there is any chance that built - in craphics solution (AMD Radeon (TM) HD 8610 G) takes the main role instead of the more powerful AMD Radeon R7 M260 and if so, how can I say / set?

I ask because these days I play world war ships, but I must say that I am not too impressed by the graphics performance and settings I should use in order to get a decent fps.

My drivers are all up to date.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello @Fnokk,

    Thanks for the reply!

I look a bit outdated but I don't see anything in them that would exploit specific.

I did some research more and found possible useful information!

This software can allow you to change in switchable graphics settings:

    AMD Catalyst™ software.

    Hi there @murray62east,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is an excellent site to find answers and ask questions. I understand that you are curious about a replacement of a graphics card.

Unfortunately the graphics cards are not replaceable on laptop HP Pavilion dv2000. They are directly attached to the motherboard. The only way to replace a graphics card would be to replace the entire motherboard.

Hope that I have answered your question.

    Have a great day!

    Hello

Some of them can, and many of them cannot. My old Dell XPS 17 has 2 video cards and I can update both (must be the same in order to work properly). Unfortunately, you can not upgrade video card on your machine, it is only equipped with a video chip that is soldered to the motherboard.

  • VGA card Proplem after installing Win 7

    my HP Pavilion dv6-6c60se

When I install Win 7 its market not recognize intel Amd card or in Device Manager the task intel and Amd card are named a standard VGA card, please help

    Hello:

    Please reread my post above...

DO not install the driver from Intel. It is the graphics card Intel for laptops with only models.

The AMD driver installed two video drivers as he says on the information page of the driver AMD, which I copied and pasted below...

    Description

This package provides the AMD graphics driver high definition (HD) and Catalyst Control Center for models of laptop computers that are running an operating system supported. For laptops equipped with switchable graphics modes, this package includes drivers for two graphics (GPU). Switchable graphics allow users to switch between a graphical power mode (normally used under the power of the battery) and a mode of graphics performance. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

    Hello:

Try this for the video controller:

Then download and install the free 7-zip utility from the link below.

    http://7-zip.org/

After installing 7 - zip just right-click on the beta AMD driver you downloaded and select 7 - zip option and select the option to extract the file to a folder. I he retrieves the name of the file, so I can easily find while browsing for the driver later in the process.

OK, now it's time to install the graphics driver.

Go to Device Manager and click to expand the category graphics cards. Click on standard vga card.  Click the driver tab click on Update driver. Select travel it my computer for software method of pilot and on the bottom of the window, select let him choose from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.  Then click on disk.

15 - e020tx is the model and there a processor i7 and switchable graphics with Radeon HD 8670 so it is pretty high-end as laptops go, but it's what they are. On laptops in general in most cases, including your case, no video 'card is' to be removed, replaced or upgraded. She is soldered directly to the motherboard. There is no way to upgrade in other words.

  • Satellite P200D - 11L - VGA card is dead

    Hello

My VGA on my Satellite P200D card just died. It has been overheating for a while with several abrupt closing of the bottom, but I have finals. This model has a very poor cooling, the design is very underrated. I thought that there was dirt on the inside, but when I took it out it was not. It was clean. The cooling block disappeared, but clean.

Someone know what video card is compatible with my laptop and where can I get a cheap replacement?

    The serial number of my laptop: Satellite P200D - 11L, S/n: 97397677K
My VGA card details: VGA BOARD M76 256 S/N: K000056620

    Thanks for any help.

To be honest I don't think that you can choose between several different graphics cards. I have the same model of laptop, use it for 3 years now and it works perfectly so I don't agree with your opinion on bad cooling. Who knows how to use it?

On the design of the portable equipment, it's that it is really difficult to find spare parts, except the RAM or HARD drive. You can find the whole motherboard, but I don't think you can order somewhere new graphics as part separately. In this case the whole motherboard will be exchanged.

Try eBay. Maybe you will be lucky and find something.

According to the HP for your PC product page, it did not come with preinstalled Win10, so this implies that you upgraded to Win10, right?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem, that you are facing is that Microsoft provides only pilots with the most basic features and what you really need for these features in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific material found in laptops - and unfortunately, there is no HP Win10 laptop driver.

However, for the MS drivers that don't work well, you might consider using drivers HP Win8 - although there is no guarantee that these drivers will work.  Here is the link to the page of software and drivers HP product for Win8 to your PC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-e000-Notebook-PC-series/5355006/model/5389901

If this page does not display Win8x when you open it, then click EDIT and select Windows 8 x using the menu drop down.

You may need to install the drivers using the compatibility mode: http://www.windows10forums.com/articles/compatibility-mode.7/

    Good luck

  • Can Tecra M8 - I install a VGA card?

Hi, I was a little disappointed with my purchase of my laptop Tecra M8 because most of the games don't work correctly. My question is weather or not I can install a VGA card to make the games such as Call of Duty 4, Warcraft Frozen Throne and World of Warcraft to work properly on my laptop. I would appreciate a response thank you.

Also if you can suggest a model of graphics card, it would be useful. Thank you.

    Hello

This is not possible because the graphics chip you have is soldered on the motherboard and t can be exchanged.
It is perhaps useful for you: http://195.182.196.33/kb0/FAQ7A01ZW0007R01.htm

Furthermore, a Tecra laptop is not designed for games.
