HP Pavilion 15-n067nr: HP laptop with Sata3 only detected as Sata2

All the information I can find online about my model stipulates that it is SATA3. Given his age and the fact that it supports same USB3.0, I don't see why he would not support SATA3 as well.

However, after the upgrade my hard drive to a Samsung 500 GB SSD 850 Evo, the speeds are half what they should be and there is a message stating that the system supports NO Sata3.

Is it a driver based problem? Something related chipset AMD I'm missing? I ran all the drivers on the HP site for my laptop. The question still persists.

USB 3.0 and SATA 3 are two different things. The plug, most likely your machine uses SATA 2. Please use a tool mentioned on the next post to check:
